Thank you for the great links, it cleared up a lot of the questions I had. I like the idea of a purely USB powered miner and it's too bad BLF couldn't make it work. 5W to 30W is a big jump, but it still mines 4.5GH/s-5GH/s, and won't cut too much into profit.

Oh yes, I think you are right... the form factor is going to be bigger than they originally thought. Maybe this will make it less demanding on the computer so you can run programs while mining, instead of the GPU and strict mining setup.
Nope. It makes bitcoin stronger and more valuable. The more someone has to invest in creating the coins, the less they'll be willing to part with those coins on the cheap, therefore the value rises. ASICs are definitely a good thing for Bitcoin.

If your goal is to make 1BTC a week minimum, that would require 2500+ mH/s. With that set up, you will make .06-.08BTC per week. But you have room to add more video cards. Consider an ASIC Miner maybe?
