I wouldn't invest all my life savings in bitcoin even if I believe in it, because all can happen with cryptos.

The spread between exchanged is used by aribitrage traders to earn some coins, it's a nice job but you have to move big amounts of money.

I would put 70 bitcoin in deep cold storage, 25 in simple usb sticks cold storage, and the rest on a lightweight client.

Meglio lasciare perdere, se vuoi un exchange su cui ci si può fidare io direi bitstamp, ma il consiglio è di pensare da solo a metterli al sicuro.
