Re: Market can be manipulated?
by

Moreover, I am sure that the price is manipulated. Otherwise, how to explain such a sharp drop in the price of bitcoin and altcoins?
It is not known why this is done. To buy at the bottom of the cryptocurrency or strangle the market.

Some alt markets are definitely manipulated, if they have the right size.
Btc is too big imo.

I think that people just no longer trust the ICO. ETH has no worthy competitor yet. All the money I would not keep in ETH, but 30% can be safely.

Yes you are right. Nobody trust ICO anymore. I hope that eth will find another application

It all depends on the users and what kind of applications we will see from them I think.

bitcoin gold crashed 97% it was once traded at 500 usd and now its just 17 usd,

this is the first bitcoin fork, out there and it is basically gone. when bitcoins forks collapse the next will be bitcoin, you guys then will stand like a sect in a ocean of cryptocurrencies

Bitcoin gold is a major shitcoin so it doesn't really mean anything.

I don't see why anyone would fight against your view.  Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.  There's no compelling reason to trust strangers on the internet with either our money or our personally identifiable and financially sensitive data.

Also, you don't need to take chances on random, unknown (and potentially malicious) ICOs and airdrops in order to be successful in crypto.  The more you play with fire, the more you risk getting burned.  It's better to stick with known quantities and established, reputable altcoins.

The problem is all these people who seem to have no problem distributing their private information for free.
Some are even doing it for airdrops, which makes no sense at all.

this network of lightning is very good for things that are important and only done by professional people and can make us better understand about it.

Yeah..right...
I like on-chain transactions a lot better though.

EOS is a kind of parody of Ethereum, and as we all know counterfeits never get such popularity as the original. Therefore, focus on Ethereum and on its development and development.

i don't think so i see some differance with eos such the new governance model ram allocation model and higher transaction rate the recuperation for private key and bad users ban

Yes I think it's actually quite interesting on a technical level.

Re: BITCOIN IS NOT BUBBLE!!
by

These individuals telling bitcoin is a bubble are victims of scam through the use of bitcoin. We cannot blame them, because they have experience it. But let us not generalize everything because of the fact that in this industry, there are a lot of scammers especially hackers. So let us be very careful and vigilant as always. Do your own research.
Not all the people who are telling that bitcoin is a bubble are victim of scam, some of them like Warren Buffet is a very wealthy person which became rich because of investing in companies and he is one of the example that keep saying that bitcoin is a bubble because it is a pure speculation since there is no basis for the price of bitcoin but only the emotion of the investor and traders.

Warren buffet is a 90 year old guy (older even?) who doesn't know anything about crypto or bitcoin.

The rule that only accredited investors, which means people who are already wealthy, are allowed to participate in certain ICOs is senseless imo. It's like saying "YOU'RE NOT WEALTHY YET, SO YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE WEALTHY." Stupid society, with obsolete rules, we're living in.

Disclaimer: I'm not a US citizen, and I've not read that law

Life's a bitch ain't it?

If you mean that people cannot invest on bitcoins if they have no capital or budget because they are poor ? , they can always work on bounty campaigns here in this forum to earn cryptocurrency which they can use to start trading in the market.

No he means that you have to be an accredited investor to participate in the ico. It has nothing to do with investing in bitcoin.

My suggestion to everyone would be to be calmed, don't be greedy, have a patience in everything. Success will definitely touch your feet, never ever quit. Bitcoin's price is always volatile, as we see it's dump price and the market is red, never lose hope.

Always remember this one " He who quits does not succeed, he who succeeds does not quit".

Nothing we don't already know
But I am loving the inspirational words.

If SEC can able to control whales then that could be a great contribution for crypto world by sec. Because of SEC already I am having enough losses in centra and other some coins . Now if SEC can able to trace these whales then that could be greatest thing for me personally. Recent London survey also stated eth more decentrelised than bitcoin.

Well it still won't get you your money back, i'm in the same boat  Cry

If only it were that simple. The market is constantly changing and what works well today-tomorrow you can throw in the garbage. Therefore it is necessary to develop constantly.

It is actually that simple, the market can change however it wants but that doesn't mean you don't want to buy low and sell high no more. That is something you will always want to do, a constant.

Re: SELL ALL YOUR FIAT AND LIVE 100% CRYPTO!!!!

In 2014, one person tried to sell his house for 877.5 bitcoins (or $ 8,599,500 in today's prices). The article also says that so far, no houses have been sold for the bitcoins.

In the United Kingdom you can buy and sell houses with bitcoin, some realtors have expressed some serious interest in it.
I just quickly skimmed the article I read about it, but there seemed to be some nice tax advantages if you buy a house with bitcoin.

Re: Should I hold verge?
by
w5pn73
on 09/05/2018, 12:04:57 UTC
I bought Verge when it was 0.08$. But recent hype related to secret partnershit did not turn out to be a success as the price went down immediately following the official annoucement of the partnership. Now, I lost in BTC value around 30% as the price did not get to my sell order. Therefore, the question to pro traders, should I hold or get rid of that s’coin? Thanks in advance!
For me Verge is a strong sell. It was a good buy in the two digit satoshi area, but I can not understand why people buy it in this overhyped price levels.

Do not like Verge here but am a speculator. I already made back profits with Verge so even if I continue to play with it, it will never be with new BTC. I agree with you that 3 digit is overpriced for medium term, but for short and medium term, you can expect pumps to 1k or more a few more times, so I would always buy back more Verge at 500 or below, I have already twice done that with 2x or 3x profits. It is a pump coin, make no mistake, but lots of volume.

Copied/forked coin (no real skill needed), get a big enough community, pump time, dump on the newbs, rinse & repeat.
Needless to say I would not keep holding this.

Re: EOS: just not backing down?
by

on 09/05/2018, 12:03:35 UTC
I think at the moment everything can happen with any coin, because now the world of cryptocurrency is a bit inclined, and do not trust what kind of coin, it can fall as well and rise.

And with the team behind EOS anything can happen. It shouldnt go forgotten that they have done many projects, and none of them was finished...
Projects are bitshares, and steemit.

I might be a bit biased because I bought a few.
But after seeing hundreds of contributors on git, I don't think there is any stopping eos and it's development for the coming time.
