Setup and mining Raycoin! Is there a GUI wallet client or how can check the total of coins mined? Thanks!

Also, I created an unofficial Raycoin Discord Server here:

If the main developer wants to join, I will demote myself and make him Admin so that it can be the official discord server.

DOGECOIN DEVELOPMENT NEWS!
1.14 JUST HIT A MAJOR MILESTONE!
Well good grief that was harder than expected, but... 1.14 now fully syncs on both test and main networks. That's a massive milestone in releasing a new client, especially after so many changes in Bitcoin Core (I've spent most of my time basically trying to find where they've moved code to).
I'm not going to do an estimated release date, because good grief that has a history of going badly, but instead going to try showing you the next steps:
Address unit test failures in block encoding which have appeared when we add a chain ID. I suspect a bad interaction with SegWit code, but honestly I'm rolling 1d20 on the random fault table here, rather than I really know.
Get tests running on Travis, so that if we accidentally break something and miss it in local testing, it should catch it for us.
Test mining on the test network.
Fix the test network when 3 predictably goes wrong.
RPC tests to ensure it works well with services (mining pools, exchanges, etc.)
Backwards compatibility tests (ensure old wallets load reliably, etc.)
Alpha release
In parallel to this, branding work will start (currently it advertises as if it's Bitcoin Core still), to make the client look like the Dogecoin we all love.
If anyone has time to help, looking at the broken tests in the 1.14-dev branch would be greatly appreciated.
I've got thoughts on 1.15, I'll share them around the point we're doing mining tests, as they should be more fixed/less gooey by then.
Stay awesome shibes!
Ross
Edit: P.S. I'm not at all on top of my messages on reddit, sorry. Maybe one day, or I'll hire someone to sort through them, meanwhile I'm not ignoring you personally, I'm ignoring almost everyone incidentally.

There have been many doge forks and derivatives throughout the years. dogecoindark, dogecoinlite, dogecoin-eth, dogecoin gold, dogecoin token, dogecoin plus alpha zero turbo with SegwitX10 mega. They are all trying to copy and imitate the dynamic intricacies of the now faded doge. We don't need a fork or a new take on doge, what we need is a revitalization of what made doge great from the beginning.

Things we can do:

- Raise money for the current dev team or a new group of official sanctioned devs. The escrow to be provided by anyone who still official capacity in dogecoin. Doge needs bitcoin security updates and maintenance. It would not be difficult to fund other programmers to do so, although ideally it would be better for the original devs to be active again. Either way, doge is a community coin and we can move it forward as a community.

I am pledging $14,000 for active devs.

- Contact exchanges and entertain the idea of a 1:1 dogecoin fork in which we can maintain the same ticker "DOGE".

- Generate a new roadmap the coincides with the latest in crypto development. DOGE stands out as a donation currency and a ton of people are new to crypto in the last few years that are looking for something like this. Not only that, but a lot of old dogecoiners are now rich and are sentimental for doge, they just want a reason to be involved. Imagine the new levels of donation we can achieve in 2018. Donations and Tipping. If we can create an official and easy to use tipping app, it would give true purpose to doge.

- Stop looking to the past. It's time to look forward. Yes there were bad players, yes there were hacks, yes the developers aren't active - But our blockchain is one of the most stable in the industry. Focus on our low fees. Focus on adoption in India, Africa and Venezuela. Focus on creating content (memes) and most of all... focus on teaching new people about crypto with dogecoin, it's the lowest barrier of entry currently.

- Try to be a little more kind to new comers and people with questions. Even the wild speculation should be taken with a grain of salt and treated as enthusiasm and motivation for other shibes.

- Have fun!

Have you made posted a thread on Reddit yet? I feel like we might have more success there than on Bitcoin Talk. Would love to see what kind of reaction this would get. Do mention the use of an escrow in case we end up collecting donations for a roadmap though. And let's not start collecting until we have a vision that the community agrees on. Just my fifty Doges though.

wakka622 Aren't we learning nothing about the RagnaFork over Bitcoin these days?  First thing you do is criticize forks, but then the revolutionary idea you thought is some sort of DogeCoin Cash? Wow. Such contradiction. Please clear this up.
What makes Doge special is that it's a good currency. Maybe if you look for complex features, bells & whistles... you're looking for a store of value ie Bitcoin.
A currency is just the opposite, is plain SIMPLE
Fast - Much checked
Cheap - Much checked
Secure - Much checked

If one of the above is in danger, anyone can propose a patch, or maybe a preventing idea.

Two main points unfortunately claimed til now (on reddit too) are against the previous exposed model

Fork&Split: Huge inflation, apocalypse...
Burning/limit coins: Quite antagonistic. Deflation will lead Doge to become closer to BTC's characteristics (store of value)

Btw there are currently two active campaigns on reddit: #DogecoinMilkForEveryOne and #DogecoinSocksForTheHomeless.
Besides there is a new & cool tipbot since a few months, replacing the lost one https://www.reddit.com/r/sodogetip/ Such WoW!  Wink

Hey it seems like you have some extra fiat Grin. Many possibilities!
Buy doge. Donate to devs/users Cheesy or campaign, maybe your own ideas. Use them if crypto enviroment succeeds, at least they will perform well against fiat.
Invest in a store of value if you want to profit more.
Cash it. Burn the notes.
Actually limitless choices you are free

The fork would have to be sanctioned by the doge team if anything, and I agree it may not be needed. There are patches needed though and it would be nice to see some initiative from the current team. I would be interested in giving money to the devs if they were someone manning the fort. I'm not even saying we need new programmers, but we definitely need a project manager and a team of people pushing new apps, security updates, troubleshooting and a dialog with the community. There is the argument that we should leave it all to the community, but where has that gotten us? Who would be a good frontman for doge these days? Someone with calm demeanor and a good sense of humor that has a wealth of crypto knowledge.

My vote is for Peter Saddington, The Doge Lord / Mr. Dogecoinlambo

Not without an escrow and a very clear roadmap.

It's very possible though. I wonder if Jackson Palmer would be down to host the escrow. We can pay a group of blockchain programmers out in India to at least put in the latest bitcoin security patches. Possibly with community voted roadmap or some shit. Better than the silent treatment we are getting now anyway.

Having any large amount of money in Doge is just completely pointless. It doesn't matter how quickly and cheaply you can move Doge around if you can't use Doge to actually buy things that matters. You keep making the same argument, but you're either failing to see the point or you're deliberately ignoring it to shill your bag full of dead coins.

You're deliberately ignoring. They are not dead. Dog(e)s are people too! Sad
If you see the charts at logaritmic scale from the beginning, it's smoothly growing.

Maybe it's better to promote whichever coins you want to succeed instead of demonize the existing ones
Do it on another thread, or here if you want to discuss openly. Ain't gonna bite ya Wink

naive people , thinking that doge is growing ...its only growing because its known , and newcomers can buy 1000000000 coins for nothing... atter that, they realize that coin is just nothing . Thats what i did when i entered crypto...

Bra, that's like 180btc worth of doge AKA $1,026,000. Far from "nothing" for people who aren't balling out of control like you are.

As I m Said three weeks ago, 3,5 millions token sold.

Next step: Listing on bittrex mid november

Bittrex sais Paragon claiming they will be on the exchange at a certain time is 100% lying. It is big disrespect to lie and use a name if they don't give permission (IOTA?). Is there a statement anywhere from Bittrex that they will add Paragon. If not, they are lying and using Bittrex name without permission.

I invested in presale but now seeking refund, I was blocked in Telegram. Is anyone here?

Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation)

What would be a realistic release date in your opinion? Personally I'd be surprised with 2015.

I think it could be done within a few days after Gemini is becoming a trust company - they had more than 2 years to prepare the ETF. Not sure if that's in 2015, but it could be.

There is no way the SEC is gonna let it pass using the last S-1A

There is a 90% chance they will submit another S-1A and remove exchanges like btc-e, mtgox, etc. They will replace all the foreign bitcoin companies and resources with things like Gemini, Coinbase Exchange, itBit and other regulated infastructure.

Then the SEC will review it again.

That sounds like the smart option but are you sure they must do this because if so then it could be another year before we see the etf launched.

yes I am very sure. The old S-1A has nothing in it about Gemini. They have to file a new S-1A. The reason their last S-1A was so long ago is because they are waiting to get all their ducks lined up, then submit one final S-1A with everything in it.

If I had to take a guess, it's 6-12 months away after/if their Gemini charter gets approved

note: I am not a legal expert, not giving legal advice, and I am not dealing with this ETF in any way. I am just giving my opinions.

But where are you getting this information from?

Are these guys working with the dark devs? How come they are having same time access to things like POS 3 ??

Anon is ok for me with devs, just i think they are underselling themselves on some of these features.

I think they are working close with their code for sure. The devs said they are already updating the github with new tech

These devs are thick as thieves. The trick as a trader is to recognize who is taking what code or tech where and why. It's all about staying ahead of the curve. Here we see advanced blockchain plus some pretty interesting security technology. Something is definitely going on.

Some devs are and some aren't.

This happened today.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1189767.msg12514460#msg12514460

I hope these devs aren't as incompetent as ITileclooTI though because I already bought 1 master node worth of CBIT.
