Re: How can we stop Bitcoin's negative publicity?-Rebranding.
by

I don't think rebranding bitcoin is necessary at all. Very many people are used to the the big name bitcoin either from negative or positive side. Changing anything may even cause more harm than imagined. What is more necessary is awareness. Let us all spread the positive news and oppose wrong opinion. People need enlightenment.

Re: Governments and Bitcoin

One cannot say that the government is always doing evil against the people because there are times the government means well. But truly, there are times that the government will appear very selfish in order to protect its belief. That is the situation I often see with cryptocurrency. People love decentralization but some governments want to be in control.

Investors prefer holding because they have to wait for future time which may be near or far in order to realize profit from their investments. Meanwhile, the traders can make profit whether the price is up or down. So anyone may want to opt for trading if you have the knowledge.

If you are wise, you will ignore any negative news asking you not to buy bitcoin. Bitcoin is definitely going to be fine and you have to be part of it in order to have the experience. Buy now that the price is extremely low and wait for the great future ahead.

Re: Don't Lose Hope Just Yet
by

Rather than lose hope, it is better to go back to bitcoin price history over the years and educate yourself. The price cannot remain on the rise all the time. Don't forget that some people also see this decline as opportunities as they have always seen some good cryptocurrencies too high for them to buy large quantities.

None of these FUDs will make me panic. As far as I can see, the people who are involved in this kind of sale are nothing but weak hands. They can sell all their holdings in bitcoin if they like. It will rather give strong people the opportunity to get in a very cheap price.

I know that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies mining consume a great deal of electricity but I have never for once thought about the possible hazard the wreck and discarded mining hardware could cause to our dear environment. This a wake up call.

Should anyone expect the price of bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to continually go up indefinitely?  That will be an unreasonable thing to expect because it can never happen. Price is a mixture of up and down movements. This is one thing that can give you the hope that the price of bitcoin will rise again from these lows.

I can no longer go by any expert's predictions about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. They no longer seem valid to me. We have had numerous failed predictions in the past so it is better for me to use my little understanding in deciding whether to hold or sell my bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.

Re: Regulation? Laws? Bans?

I am not concerned about any ban or prohibition because they will certainly not stop bitcoin. However, I think we we witness another attempt to regulate cryptocurrency  considering the rate at which it is spreading and adoption. My major concern is the scam that seems to have taken over the cryptocurrency world.

by

Who are the people who want cryptocurrency centralized other than the government that want to have control over it at all cost? Bitcoin is centralized and it will always remain that way with all the benefits that it offers. Any centralized cryptocurrency has lost its purpose.

Christmas is a period that majority of the people all over the world reserve for shopping, family holiday and merry making. As a result people are expected to spend money much more during Christmas period. As a result of this, they tend to sell their bitcoin in order to actualize Christmas dreams.

I don't know where exactly you are drawing your inference of bitcoin over hyping from and how in anyway bitcoin has similarities with ponzi scheme. It is normal for people to express various kinds of opinions (both positive and negative) concerning anything that is thriving and capable of changing people's lives. I have even heard more negative news about bitcoin than what you call the hype.

Panic selling is the worst thing any bitcoin holder can do to himself. Selling your bitcoin is not a taboo but you must be sure you are doing it for a reasonable reason, otherwise you will regret it. The current drop in price should be seen as an opportunity to accumulate more bitcoin.

Re: Nobody Buying Cryptocurrency :(
by

If nobody is buying cryptocurrency, then the price can as well crash to zero but it is impossible. There are much more sellers than buyers and everyone can clearly see that at the moment. This is probably because some potential buyers feel that the price may still fall further more.

If you choose to sell your cryptocurrencies at this moment, you have most definitely lost money already. Your cryptocurrency can remain intact in your wallet if you have the patience and this can make you smile in the future. Always remember that the price of cryptocurrency will not keep falling.

You have said it exactly the way it is. Some people have to sell for some people to buy. We have witnessed a serious downtrend this year. Only within a few days, bitcoin dropped buy about $2000. For some people, it the end of the road while it means the opportunity to make good gains in future for some people.
