Re: Luck or Experience
by

From a general viewpoint, I consider experience to be a more worthy approach to Gambling and its success than Luck. Luck may be one of the possible factors but it isn't one to rely on as many people will see it scarcely but on account of experience, it is easy to rely on what you already have applied severally and you know the outcome.

Re: tell me the best online casino

It is very hard to get all the features in a single casino. Some may be offering it, but if the casino is not popular and not operating from many years, then I won’t recommend you to play there.

It is not ideal to subscribe to Casinos with little reputation except in cases where the team members are known and possibly have a track record of success in their previous experiences.

Another condition is the community's belief and engagement towards the Casino. Most times, the feedback from the community is more than enough of whats needed to engage a Casino.

Re: Altcoins are sucidal!!!
by

on 20/08/2024, 05:47:14 UTC

That would be a ridiculous situation I guess because after all,..

The reason why I believe the investors are to be blamed is much more centered on their psychology and sufficiency of information.

"Even the deadliest of rivers wouldn't drown everyone that gets into it".

People still make a fortune off shitcoins, its the major reason why it still trends and happens to the a major attraction for its players. It is no doubt that memecoins have now become the center of attraction for liquidity providers. SOLANA today, has liquidity because of the hype around it and the fact that shitcoins are leveraging that chain, when the hyper leaves, liquidity will also leave and shitcoins with it.

People still make as much profit just as they do losses on shitcoins but it depends on strategy and information helps to strategize better. It still comes back to the investors perspective.

>> so many people prefer investing in shitcoins just because it offers higher growth potential than Bitcoin.
What they fail to understand is that , investing in altcoins carries a lot of risk and you need thorough research before making investments decisions, if you've taken the decision to invest in Altcoins then get ready for potential looses.   I'll also advice you never use your all to invest!

Bitcoins advantages makes it a reliable store of value and medium of exchange.
The price of Bitcoin has really swept people off their feet, I mean imagine if maybe ten years ago you had a good amount of Bitcoin and you decide to hodl .
Imagine how you'd be now!
So the best thing is to use the DCA investment strategy in Bitcoin rather than investing in all this shitcoins.

Rather than tie it entirely to the shitcoins, I'll suggest we also look at it from the perspective of those investing in shitcoins.

More often than not, you find people investing in shitcoins with reasons of ROI, forgetting that there is a laid down understanding, high rewarding shitcoins have higher risks. The basic which is "invest only what you can afford to lose" seems to be alien to these small-scale investors.

Just because you heard about someone who made a fortune out of one shitcoin doesn't make it a trend, the person who made a lot of money out of a shitcoin has also lost from another shitcoin and he might be one of the lucky ones out of a hundred who does shitcoins.  Because these pieces of information aren't general knowledge, people get to be misguided and act on ignorance and incur losses.

Re: Bitcoin is Still Economically Useless = Economist

This guy may have made sense, though I suspect he's a Democrat. Apart from early holders making a killing off Bitcoin, how has it benefitted the world economy? Your opinion though...

Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman said that Tech-bro's support for Trump and Vance seems to be related to cryptocurrency/ He said that in reality. Bitcoin is still economically useless and useful just for money laundering and extortion. He described Trump's call for the creation of some kind of national Bitcoin reserve as equivalent to the government rescuing a scandal-ridden, value- and environment-destroying industry.

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/29/opinion/vance-trump-cryptocurrency.html

The most interesting part of the comment is "Bitcoin is still economically useless and useful just for money laundering and extortion", tell me the regularly used fiat isn't used for the same too. Is it therefore necessary to put away the use of fiat simply because of the negative uses it's involved in?

People often give negative views on the use of crypto generally but in no distant time we get them changing their stance and apologizing, this wouldn't be any different, I am patiently waiting for him to do the same.

Re: Crypto can help poor nations a lot
by

on 17/08/2024, 11:26:22 UTC
The invention of blockchain technology is a much broader solution than its perceived solution in the eyes of the inventor: Satoshi Nakamoto.

So, we look at it as a form of currency, and its decentralized features create enablers but we don't see the part where it gets to be further expanded to become a source of job creation for borderless systems and a major means of livelihood.

People now get crypto-related jobs across continents without being known or being present in those locations and their identities are still pseudo-anonymous, only being made known by their portfolios and their wallet addresses or their usernames.

It is therefore pertinent to say that crypto has helped and is still helping a lot of people across the world, whether poor Nations or Nations in affluence.

Re: Bitcoin or Gold which is worth investing in?
by
wallet4bitcoin
on 17/08/2024, 11:10:15 UTC
The fact Bitcoin is volatile and gold is more stable , and the fact that gold has high liquidity and Bitcoin is still growing, makes investments consideration quite tough.
None is stable between them both. Gold is less volatile. Bitcoin is also having high liquidity. Just that gold has higher marketcap and also can be more liquid but if you want to buy or sell millions dollars worth of bitcoin, you will be able to buy and sell it right away. I prefer bitcoin investment after a significant bear market but it is good to diversify.

This question has been asked here too many times and it doesn't make sense to ask on Bitcoin forum which is a better investment because people here will naturally be biased towards Bitcoin.

To ask this question you would need to find neutral forum for investments.
Not that they are biased. Bitcoin is giving higher ROI and it is the best asset since a decade ago if you compare both and the money someone will gain.

Needless to say, you are concise with your point/response.

The ROI from Bitcoin is way higher considering the timeframe. Everyone wants to make the most out of the least available time, even skillful and renowned investors like Warren Buffet will go for an investment that pays way higher in ROI in a shorter timeframe than the other if there is a comparison between this same asset class.

Re: Dubai approves bitcoin for salary payment
by
wallet4bitcoin
on 17/08/2024, 11:05:17 UTC
Good news coming to the digital currency space as one of the countries in the Asia region have just approved bitcoin and cryptocurrency for salary payments. It was first rejected in 2023 and now approved by the First court of instance.

Quote
Dubai's Court of First Instance recognized cryptocurrency as a valid form of salary payment, marking a significant shift in the UAE's approach to digital currencies. This decision is a notable update from the court's previous stance in 2023, where a similar case was rejected due to issues with valuing crypto payments.

This move will have a positive impact in the mass adoption and use of bitcoin. For a country as big and popular like Dubai to make this move, we wait to see similar from neighboring countries or tourist destinations like Dubai.

https://www.cryptotimes.io/2024/08/16/dubai-court-approves-cryptocurrency-for-salary-payments/

We are gradually getting to the point where P2P will become a common acceptable payment system using Bitcoin as the default currency. To think we couldn't achieve this feat a few years ago and look at where we are now.

Dubai is known to be a home for tourists from every part of the world, it is almost impossible not to transact when in Dubai as there are loads of tourist attractions you would want to experience and then you hear something like "We accept Bitcoin here", I love the sound of that.

Welcome to true Decentralization guys!

Hello,

I'm quote new in this world and i find out this two site

https://bit-rate.com/#/pages/base/index

https://mobile.fbtcapp.top/#/pages/base/index

Do you know if they are legale or scam?

In the First I hard some transation and when i wanted to withdraw they asked me to pay tax... Do you know if Is It corrett?

Thanks

I don't feel comfortable with the interface of the site, they don't look like they mean business with such aesthetics.

Having spent some time around, I can tell you for sure that people who mean business in the space care about the quality of the content they are putting out there for their users and this doesn't seem like one.

How do you get to deposit money in an exchange when you have money to withdraw from it? It should arouse some questions.

Re: Bitcoin moved by the US government
by
wallet4bitcoin
on 16/08/2024, 12:47:21 UTC

US government just moved 10,000 bitcoins to an exchange, coinbase prime. While this might be worrying for others especially after the German government moving their own bitcoins, I advise everyone to remain calm. The 10,000 bitcoins taken in custody from the Silk road case were transferred to an exchange but not with the intention of selling them.

The government has made partnership with Coinbase and has entrusted them to hold seized bitcoins. So if anyone is saying that this is a sign of a market crash or a reason for it then don’t believe them and remain steadfast in your hodling.

If a whale had come across this kinda transaction without a clear explanation of the conditions behind the transaction, trust me, this would have triggered another panic sale just like that of Germany.

Irrespective of the News about the US Government being behind this transaction, some traders will still express FUD over the transaction as the said amount is capable of causing some impact on the market as no one knows the direction of the trend yet.

Re: He wants to Invest in Bitcoin for His Retirement.

⭐ Merited by vapourminer (1)
A Senior Pastor (The Most Reverend in the Province) in my Church called me last week Sunday to see him after the Sunday service which I did. When I met him, he told me that he wanted to see me for a very long time. People have told him that I am good with bitcoin investment andalso teaching people in it. Thathe has three children and all have graduated from University but because of the way things are in the country, they have not secured jobs. And any moment from now he will retired. So he wants to invest online business if I know any. And I told him that I know of only one which is investing in bitcoin.

And I told him the two types of investment. Short term and long term and I suggested long investment for him but he said he likes the short term investment because he can feed from it and I told him that, he can't invest in bitcoin and still feed from it. He can't feed from it because if he does then he will be at the losing side so the best option is the long term investment.

And he said I should managed the investment for him and I told him that he should used one of his trusted children but I can only be a mentor, guidance and adviser to him and not to manage the investment for him. And I will introduce the DCA method of investment for him since he depends on the monthly stipend of the church. My problem here is, the time he is planning for his retirement investment is too close. It is just few months to his retirement and that is when he is serious about it. What was his plan for all these years in active service?

As it is, we have scheduled another meeting this Sunday again after the Sunday service. And if he is serious I will invest for him but I prefer the long term but as a age man, really he needs an investment that can brings feed to his table daily and that is why he was insisting on the short term investment buy that cannot do him anything base on the volatile nature of Bitcoin.

Your input can help this man through me.

A better advice would be for him to have you walk his children through the process of understanding 'how it works' since they have graduated from the university.

If he invests and wants to use the proceeds to still take care of his family and kids at his age then it will elude him, there is also no guarantee that his investment can cover the expenditure as they keep growing daily.

An investment in his children will solve their immediate needs and also span to him, depending on what country he is from and the policy they have for the aged people.

He should tell you to train his children rather than invest in a short term investment that might see him incurring loses now and again.

There some work to be done like using your identity to create accounts.

There are a whole lot of places not to go to when things like compromising on identity are mentioned and advertised, one of those places is BITCOINTALK.ORG forum, you will be properly grilled because Integrity and sanity are part of the features you should have in check when dealing, in here.

As far as I know, everyone on here is looking to sanitize this forum, and things like using one's identity for something not entirely transparent should not be condoned.

Another feather added to the cap of the technology.

Its gradually coming through, no new revolutionary technology intertwined with finance was ever welcomed with open arms until it defies the very gang up against it.

We will see many more countries legalize Bitcoin in no distant time, it's either they accept it or they accept it, it can't be otherwise. There may be delays in adoption but not entirely shutting it out.

Talking about people leaving Bitcoin isn't a new thing, might be a new topic but it isn't a new event as they always come back years later with confessions of their regret and all that.

Again, I see people leave when it is a bear season or there is a dip, I can call them paper hands for their attitudes expose them. Let those who believe in the technology continue standing strong and not get distracted by who leaves or stays.

Re: AI related scams and their solutions
by
wallet4bitcoin
on 30/07/2024, 05:53:20 UTC
As an active participant in the cryptocurrency space, the recent information on CoinTelegraph regarding the rise of deepfakes and their impact on the industry has definitely caught my attention. The alarming surge in sophisticated AI-generated fake identities poses a significant threat to the security of users' assets and financial well-being.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitget-sumsub-deepfake-detection-security

It's concerning learning about the potential consequences of falling victim to these identity frauds, ranging from stolen identities to emptied accounts, which can result in devastating financial losses and a breakdown of trust within the crypto ecosystem. Statistics revealing a 217% increase in deepfakes detected in the crypto sector from the first quarter of 2023 to the first quarter of 2024, along with a staggering 245% rise across all industries, highlight the urgent need for enhanced security measures across crypto exchanges.

As a trader myself, I believe that staying informed about emerging threats and advancements in security technologies is essential in safeguarding our investments and maintaining trust in the crypto market. By prioritizing user security and adapting to the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats, crypto exchanges can not only mitigate risks but also foster a safer and more resilient trading environment for all participants.

It is good to have evolutions in spheres but we must admit that most of these evolutions often come with serious challenges and research is often engaged to curb these challenges as well as advance the trend of the said technology, it's a vicious circle as the innovations never end so is the downsides of it.

Deepfakes pose a great challenge societally but it's mostly predicated on the ignorance of players in the industry. We must take drastic steps to sensitize the general public on the pros and cons of Generative AI and its extensions.

Re: Crypto Bank
by
wallet4bitcoin
on 29/07/2024, 11:26:45 UTC
I was thinking about it for a while. I am a developer, I understand the concept of bitcoin, blockchain and decentralization. There are cryptocurrency buying services, there are wallet creation services. People who want to have cryptocurrency already have and know what they need to use from the service.

But even though blockchain and crypto are designed to be decentralized, in a way I believe that the bank will then slowly switch to crypto and offer you a service, so your bank will make you an account, keep the currency there, you will use the payment card... basically manage everything as they do now. As it is now with fiat. Since a large part of the market people is crypto-uneducated this will be a good opportunity for banks to gain market share.

What interests me is that it makes sense to start a “bank” that will take care of customers like traditional banks do. Opening an account, buying a crypt, maintaining a computer, etc.?

The bank will be the best idea to be implemented in the crypto space but the challenge will be the trust levels as individuals are more confident with their wallets rather than having it handled by someone else. The only difference is that a card might be needed, but if a card service comes in as a freelance service then people will opt for it instead of banks
