Hey guys. Just wanted to let you all know. MN are paying. Its just not everyday. I got 3.6CHC on the 14th and 15th, but none since. The payout before these was on the 3rd, so they're random but are working. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if masternodes are going to be fixed or not? I have still only received one payout of 3.6 CHC. This is not sustainable. Also, how would miners vote down masternodes? The whole point of masternodes is that the masternodes vote.

That's just my luck. I spun up a masternode on the 2nd, got a 3.6CHC payout on the 3rd, and nothing since. I hope they get this fixed soon. I like the coin and it was easy to set up a masternode, but if it doesn't make money, what are we doing here?

Why is bitcore transaction so low??? I sent 2.35 btcore from hitbtc to my wallet for the past 15mints now at 17comfirmations... Pls how many confirmations are there Huh

Heres the transaction hash https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?202099.htm

Bitcore? It's HitBTC limit. From cryptopia BTX comes very fast to my wallet.
Yes, I can confirm, with the cryptopia the translation comes quickly. Cryptopia needs 20 confirmations to add to the balance to trade deposit. Hitbtc had negative feedback about the duration of the withdrawal, especially by Monday. Probably they also want to get airdrop or it's just a coincidence or technical malfunction.
Now at 37 confirmations... Yet nothing in my wallet.... I hope my btx is safe

You can see the withdrawal status at the bottom of the balances page on hitbtc.  Most likely, they haven't sent it yet. If there is no txid then they haven't sent it.  My last one took 24 hours

Here's a screenshot of the transaction from hitbtc

Is your wallet synced?  It should be there as long as the address you sent to is correct.

I'm using coinomi wallet

Maybe coinomi support can help you? The  coins are obviously on the blockchain if you can see that the txid has confirmations on the block explorer.
your withdraw completed now on your wallet. lucky man i withdraw still pending

No its not on my wallet I can't see the balance on my wallet

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?202099.htm

Take is a look at this link

On  the output index ,,, it says not not redeemed.... What does that mean???

Not yet redeemed means that you haven't spent them yet, I'm pretty sure that's what it means.

1LXYtqLAdaYwHGdUZfm1sPpbR3fRzQb7Nx  is the address you sent to, correct.

It has a balance of 2.38 BTX - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/address.dws?1LXYtqLAdaYwHGdUZfm1sPpbR3fRzQb7Nx.htm

My coinomi wallet automatically changes address... The address has changed here in my wallet.... And my balance is 0.... This is  so annoying... I  just wish I never did this transaction... Are those coins lost forever??

Try restarting the wallet. Maybe it isn't synced with the chain.

Hello community,
I've discovered BTX recently and managed to buy 30 btx at $6. I understand that i need to register my address on bitcore.cc/airdrop.php to receive the airdrop. How can I sign my address without using the console? I am using encrypted QT wallet.
thanks

You can sign a message from the qt wallet. Click help at the top of qt wallet, then click debug console. This is where you input the commands to sign the message. Then copy and paste into airdrop site.

I didnt realise I had to be registered for the 25% airdrop. Is it too late?
Yes, it is late for 25%, but not late for 3% every week in November, 4% every week in December an so on.

That's lame. I've been holding for a while now, and don't get the 25% airdrop, because devs changed the airdrop rules? I was under the impression that BTX holders would get a 25% airdrop by just holding 10 or more BTX in their wallet, same as always. Way to screw over hodlers, guys. Really nice....

Is USpool actually finding blocks or have I wasted 24 hours mining on there. It seems like the site just isn't updating, but who knows? I can't find any answers from developers anywhere. I guess I'll go to easyhash until they get it straightened out.

Is it possible to solo mine with sgminer? If not has anyone done any research on how to put together a stratum/getblocktemplate proxy?

How many and of which cards do you have? 4xx or 5xx?
4 radeon cards
1 x  480
1 x  390(which does better than the 480)
2 x  290

Ya I don't think you would want to solo mine with because it would take ages to find a block. I would just stick to yiimp or supernova.
Even if that is the case, that is a distraction from my original question. I wish to know if it is possible to solo mine with sgminer and if so could someone could give me pointers on how to make this happen? Thanks

Better to get some with a pool than mine all year for nothing solo. My RX 580 came today, so I have an RX480 and an RX580 on suprnova. They mine the same if anyone is wondering(~10Mh/s with intensity on 21).

What speed are you getting for RX480-8G AMD-Windows 10 please?
Thanks

I was getting 14-15Mh/s on yiimp, but now like 0.28Mh/s on suprnova or chainworks.
I'm getting 9-10Mh/s on suprnova. What is the setup and the miner for getting  14-15Mh/s please?
What videocard? Try option intencity -i 21

I have MSI RX480-8G using sgminer 5.6.1-nicehash-9 with -i 21 and getting 9-10Mh/s on suprnova.
What miner are you using please

Thanks! Setting the intensity to 21 worked. I'm getting 10 Mh/s now. I wonder what yiimp's settings were that gave me 14-15 Mh/s?

Using the one from the link in the OP. I was getting 14-15 Mh/s on yiimp, but only .28Mh/s on other pools like CWI or suprnova.

We need more nodes running. The blockchain is syncing super slow. I'll get it done though, because Maxcoin is a great coin. It just had some noob developers and Max Keiser pumped and dumped. It was crazy fast to transact though, which I was really excited about. I'm stoked that development has been picked up again.

As far as the volume, it's mostly in China, but hopefully it will catch on in the rest of the world. It really is a great coin with some good prospects.

P.S. I'm digging the new logo and wallet. It looks much better than the old gold M.

Man, is there another pool similar to yiimp? I was getting like 15Mh/s on yiimp(about 1.5 btx/day), but only 28Kh/s on suprnova or chainworks which is next to nothing.
I am mining on CWis pool and reported hashrate is accurate.
What miner are you using ?
Also, note that difficulty has almost doubled in 2 days, that can explain lower gains

I've tried BFGMiner and the miner that comes from the Bitcore Website(sgminer). I was getting 14 or so Mh/s with sgminer on yiimp, but only getting 0.28Mh/s on suprnova or cwi with the same sgminer. I get that rewards will fluctuate, but where'd my hashrate go?

Are there some flags I need to set in the batch file?

New v0.9.4 wallet is now available for download!  Find out more at https://blog.maxcoinhub.io.  Reboot and Refresh!

Did you take over max because it was a dead coin with a potential community ready to go, or did you get passed the torch from max himself - or whomever was running it for him? The development update didn't seem to cover that part.

I took over because I've always believed that Maxcoin has fantastic potential, has a great community, and was started by a couple of young developers who I think had the right idea and had their hearts in the right place, but fell short of seeing it through.  I even helped a bit three years ago, not with wallet development, but with building and hosting a Maxcoin chat room and coordinating and planning with Luke (the primary Maxcoin developer at that time).

At no point along the way did Keiser ask me to get involved.  Obviously, he's always been interested in Maxcoin but I've never seen any signs that he commissioned Maxcoin or dictated how it was managed.  He's asked questions and expressed support, but in my experience, there's never been anything more than that.  This is true even today.  My involvement with Maxcoin has been totally my own initiative, and honestly, we'll need more people to get involved to turn Maxcoin's potential into reality, but hopefully this is the first step down that path.

I have access to the maxcoinproject account on here, but wanted to at least get started by using my personal account first because I want it to be clear that we're more or less starting from scratch from a resources standpoint.

Please post questions, suggestions, and feedback so that we can help Maxcoin live up to its potential!

Hi goombaloon,

Why not joining the actual team and support them directly? , no doubt they could use a skilled hand, somehow taking over (right now) is not a good idea, since the coin just entered on the radar and got a spontaneous regain of interest, at best it will confuse everyone and kill the coin for good... . By the way using a side account, no offense, won't help either.

Tell us who you are, give us your vision, your logistic, your plans, and maybe...maybe it could work, until then even installing a wallet (sources?) coming from nowhere is a big no no for me.

I'm sure you understand the concerns Wink

Hi BTCspoon,

Yep, I definitely understand, appreciate, and even share some of your concerns...no offense taken.  Smiley

Regarding why I don't just join the actual team...I have.  Like I mentioned earlier, I was loosely involved with the Maxcoin team shortly after its initial launch 3 years ago.  Today, the original developers are no longer involved (though I've contacted Luke here and there recently) and I'm working directly with maxcoin.org.uk and a few others on rebooting this project, so please let me confirm that I am not taking over this coin.  All my recent efforts to get 0.9.4 released are captured on the Maxcoin Github project (github.com/Max-Coin), not on some other fork or anything like that.  The 0.9.4 download is available on the main Maxcoin github project at github.com/Max-Coin/maxcoin/releases/tag/v0.9.4.0.

Regarding who I am...I've been a professional developer for 25 years.  The vast majority of my experience is with Microsoft platforms, both pre-.NET using C/C++ and post-.NET using C#.  I've also done a bit of Java development and work on other platforms, including Linux.  Though I've done plenty of desktop development, the bulk of my work has been with web development.

Being that I'm full-time employed and have a family, I don't have a great deal of time to dedicate to Maxcoin, but I try to allocate nights and weekends as much as I can.  As such, we will need other developers to join in if we hope to succeed.  To that end, there are a few options that I'm currently exploring but would welcome more if anyone on this thread is interested or knows someone that would be.

As for my vision/plans...my first goal is just to get the Maxcoin codebase updated and build-able, deliver some needed fixes, and get some supporting infrastructure and tools in place so that we can then move on to more exciting things.  To that end, I've done (or am doing, or need help doing) the following:

  • Put a node online (dnsseed.maxcoinhub.io) and am coordinating to put a few others online (including dnsseed.maxcoin.org.uk) to serve as seed nodes for new wallet installations to sync easily.  The lack of a well-defined and reliable set of seed nodes has been an ongoing issue, and this is intended to remedy that issue.
  • Developed and deployed a REST API for querying the blockchain.  This is available at api.maxcoinhub.io  The source code will be open sourced on the Github project (it was written in C# / .NET Core).  I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
  • Developed and deployed a mining stats page that provides a hashrate and difficulty chart along with up-to-the-minute stats.  This is available at node.maxcoinhub.io.
  • Updated the codebase on Github to make it build-able again.
  • Updated, expanded, and verified the documentation for building the source code on Windows and Ubuntu.  These are available at github.com/Max-Coin/maxcoin/blob/master/doc/build-msw.md and github.com/Max-Coin/maxcoin/blob/master/doc/build-linux.md, respectively.
  • Updated the code in 0.9.4 to use the new seed nodes created above.
  • Updated the maxcoin branding and logos in 0.9.4 to match with maxcoin.org.uk (again, we're working together as a team).
  • Deployed a development blog at blog.maxcoinhub.io that I'm planning to use to share this kind of information.  In fact, I think my next post will include what I've provided here.  Smiley
  • Working to get the Maxcoin DNS seeder daemon up and running on multiple seed nodes to further remedy the node availability and discoverability issue.
  • Provide a blockchain bootstrap torrent so that new wallet users can get the blockchain loaded on to their machines more quickly.  Sync times for new Maxcoin installations is pretty slow (on the order of days), so providing a torrent of a periodically updated snapshot of the blockchain should hopefully provide some near-term relief.
  • Optimize the Maxcoin blockchain syncing code so that the above bootstrap torrent is eventually no longer necessary.
  • Investigate and address as appropriate the current list of issues captured Github.
  • Build, deploy, and open source a new blockchain explorer that leverages the blockchain API built above.

Again, these are all part of an initial first step of "rebooting and refreshing".  After this initial first step, then I believe we'll be well-positioned to move on to bigger and better things, which hopefully the community will help define and drive between now and then.

From this point forward, I will switch over to posting from the maxcoinproject account in order to reduce confusion or concern.

Thanks for the feedback and please continue to provide any further feedback regarding questions, concerns, or suggestions!

Hi, thanks for doing all that work. I'll download the wallet and run a node. I did after launch until the devs stopped updating it. I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination, but if you need any help with something that someone with limited html, css, and some java(again..limited) skills can do, I'll certainly try. Maxcoin had great potential, but it was tarnished after Max pumped and dumped it. It really was an awesome and FAST coin. I'd love to see it make a comeback with a new dev team and community support.

Oh man. Tell me Maxcoin is back! I'm still holding  A LOT from mining right after the launch. I bought some too. Man... talk about fast transactions. I still have my wallet.dat, so are my old coins still good on this reboot of the project? That'd be awesome. Oh, and fuck Max Keiser.
