I'm currently 100% ETH + ERC20 but I want something else to diversify. I'm looking at either FCT or IOTA ... those are the 2 that stick out to me in terms of actually doing something different enough with IOTA being the one that really sticks out to me.
Anyone some interesting info in relation to any of these two?

so I watched the charts for a few hours tonight...bought in around $49.10 expecting it to crank back up to $49.30 (it had done it a few times). Now we're down at $48.50...
I'm not upset and I don't think I'm missing out (I sold the coins at $53 to buy those ones cheaper) but it messes with the mind a little bit.
It's hard not to take it personally.

Realistically Btc slowly but surely is on its way down to 2900.
I was hoping it would be a faster correction but I have a feeling it's going to be a long journey down and then hopefully testing the ath by the end of October.
This means ltc will follow btc down probably to the low 40's if not high 30's just like Friday then rebound.

Oh man, why is ARK tanking so hard?
I realize that everything else is tanking as well but ARK was one of the few coins that stayed afloat. And right after I gave in and traded some ETH for it, it takes a hit.
Is there any specific reason for it?
Well, other than me buying it

Lots of people think the market has now turned, and everything is heading downward.
I look at the 1d chart, and I do not see any turnaround. Still looks like a continuation of the same pattern.
The fact that the price is still holding up over the weekend on low volume makes me think we'll see the upward climb resume shortly, as usual.
The fact that all of this negativity was so well aligned with the $5000/$100 ATH is also highly suspicious...

I'm going to take a wild guess. We'll see a tri star doji on LTC/USD (one of which is already present, the second doji is in progress, and tomorrow will be the third star) tightening around $51-$52 for the closing price.
This would be the first sign of a reversal, with a new uptrend to folllow.

Just woke up. Did you guys enjoy your ride this morning?
Last night before I went to bed it had just started dipping below 246. 237 was the low this morning?
Interested to see what you all think about this next 24hrs.
I think it will take at least that long for something clear to happen, and it will probably be on Monday AM.
What do you think guys, lower lows and lower highs?
Or higher highs and higher lows?

Courtesy Heads-Up / LINK Scam Attempt:
I just received a phishing email posing as an admin from Chainlink's slack channel. Just another sketchy and ham-fisted attempt to steal your ETH. The email tries to take you to this site:
c h a i n l i n k . t e c h (Do not click. Not a legit site for LINK.)
The fake account has been deleted from slack, but still, be careful out there y'all.

So many thoughtful traders reminding us that we are in a bear market once the price starts to go up.
This true act of kindness and looking out for you fellow traders is why I come here.
It's dead silent for hours then the minute the price starts to move up you heroes swoop in to save us. True selflessness.

I agree that the bear trend hasn't broken yet, however I still think that this level is a good buy.
We might see another bottom yet, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for $200 again.
Imo, it's more likely that if it dips again, we'll form a double bottom, higher than the previous one at $200, and start a reversal from there. Otherwise (if it dips to $200 or breaks down even lower), ETH would be breaking down out of the trend that it started back in March/April, which seems unlikely given Metropolis will be releasing very soon.
The last time ETH dropped under the longer term trend line, it triggered the reversal and set up the August bull run.

If the market is just easily manipulated and there are controlled pumps and dumps, is there really a point of calling this an investment based on fundamentals anymore? Seems like now it is more of a guessing game, even holding there is no telling whether the fact that how great this technology is for our future is going to even matter when you can just throw paper money at it to make it go up or down when you please. Maybe a bit dramatic but I don't see how we can say fundamentals play any role in crypto at this point, other than the fact that the mania surrounding it will continue to have people looking to invest in something volatile means it will keep growing the more that fiat is printed. Please feel free to argue against this sentiment, just trying to figure out whether this is based on technological fundamentals anymore or if it ever will be (yes I know POS, POS, POS, RAIDEN, METROPOLIS but we all know we just follow BTC no matter ETHs developments).

There are many people who missed out buying the bottom of this dip (as with all dips). Now they are sitting on the sidelines waiting, praying for another dip to $200. They are hoping for more "bad news" from China to answer their prayers. "This time I will go all in".
Even if there is more "bad news" from China the odds of the price reaching the low again are highly unlikely. The bottom of the dip has been established therefore inexperienced traders will set that as their buy target. It won't reach that target because experienced traders will buy well before that leaving you in the dust again to FOMO back in and pull the price up. You also have to take into account we just had a huge drop and people won't be shaken as easy again.
Moral of the story don't wait for the expected bottom you have to get in well before it.

Alright guys, serious pressure. Jesus Christ, I've lost like 30% of my portfolio and almost broke even, now i'm down -20% within the last 72 hours.
This is an emotional rollercoaster.
Serious question: to those who have bought at the prime time when it was in the 80's, are you guys still holding?

Any new developments in last 6 hours while I was AFK?
Last time I checked FUD of the day was:
1) OKCoin and Huobi will not trade crypto->crypto after 31st of Oct ... (This was spread by cainix?) Is this verified?
2) China will block western exchanges by GFW? -> Rumor started on Twitter spread by Tronix guy... Any news? Any other stories
Is there anything else?

I would recommend reading CoinTelegraph for their LTC/USD predictions. Right now they don't see much of a buy zone as the market is really volatile right now. In summary, they're basically saying look for some stability before investing - that's pretty much where I'm at right now.
I personally think this volatility will continue toward the end of the month, since Chinese exchanges will close at the end of the month. If I was a typical rational Chinese citizen faced with withdrawing my life savings in Litecoin or facing the prospect of never being able to cash out again - I'd likely pick the first option - but who knows. Take my words with a large grain of salt, I'm not trying to spread FUD.

If you had money on a Chinese exchange, and saw that they were going to halt fiat trading, wouldn't you be desperate to withdrawal your money asap just in case the exchange doesn't have a full reserve?
Or I guess it's even possible the Gov would step in and help rectify that, but I'd still be very anxious.
I know BTC and Eth are down today, but they are holding better than I would have thought.

Buyers should have more leverage correct? We should not buy unless it’s much lower because we hold the leverage. There are a ton of LTC owners that have to dump their LTC in about 45 days. Their best price was probably the first price when they found out. Now we’re seeing some of them holding out for better sell prices. Their sell orders are higher. The closer it gets to the dead line, the worse their price will be.
So it’s them who should panic, not us. We can hodl and wait for low prices right?
What am I missing?
They’re the ones sweating panicking. They’re watching as their profits crumble. We’re long term and just see the future gain. We shouldn’t even break a sweat right?

The general sentiment across all subs is that people are waiting to buy another dip.
Seemingly a lot of people missed the first one.
This likely means all the sell pressure being caused by China is now met by buy pressure of FOMO...
Sideways for the weekend without major news?

I have some questions, I have not been follow in the Chinese news. Some exchanges are closing down, not all though?
I see Bobby Lee says his exchange is unaffected...?
I am very confused.
This seems like a mess. Can someone please give me a summary.
Are all exchanges closing or just some?
Will some exchanges still allow fiat to crypto in China?

What are people's reasons for sticking with NEO at this point?
Edit: I know all you love NEO. It's 75% of My portfolio, so I'm a big supporter too.
There's no need to get defensive.
It's a normal question under these circumstances of recent announcements from China.
I honestly just want to know what people think of NEO's future based on recent developments.
