Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich

Investing itself carries risks. While investments have the potential to bring returns, they can also result in losses.
Investing requires time and patience, treated with prudence and rationality. Investors should conduct sufficient research and diversify investment risks to reduce possible losses.

Re: Get Bitcoin Holdings for your child from infant.
by
wastagnn
on 29/01/2023, 06:35:21 UTC
I guess this is a strategy for someone who wants to invest on Bitcoin for a long term but is scared of waiting  for too long.
So many persons will want to invest on Bitcoin for a long term  but they end up find it difficult to have the patience on their investment and wants an instant shoot up of Bitcoin price,in other for them to sell and make profit, they end up been disappointed when it doesn't go as they wanted it since they don't understand the cyclic movement of Bitcoin. They end up procrastinating they will invest and some that have already invested will get fustrated when Bitcoin is in it bear market by selling their bitcoin.
My suggestion to these set of people is that we should invest on Bitcoin for our children from infantry to teenage. In my country people starts planing for the future of their children from the moment the child is put to bed. Family and well wishers gives money to the child when they come to visit the new born baby to express their happiness for what God has done. Some parents the moment they give birth to a child they open a bank account for the child so that every month from their income they put some fraction of money to the child's account. Some money been given to the child during his birthday celebrations and other ceremonies or visit they always put it into the child's account in other to secure the child's future.
When this child becomes a teen in high school this money must have accumulated to a reasonable amount which is used to support the child to either further his education, start up a trade or learn a skill. Fiat currency is fast depreciating because of inflation, why don't you buy Bitcoin Holdings for your child from infant and do all his savings in Bitcoin so that by the time the child becomes a teenager,  Bitcoin price might have hit $500k and above. This way you can have a long term holdings in Bitcoin.
What is your opinion on my suggestion, is it a guarantee for the child's future and will  enable you to benefit from Bitcoin ?
  Grin
Investing in Bitcoin for your kids is a great way to hold it for the long term. Because we are inevitably affected by market sentiment when we invest by ourselves, it is difficult to guarantee a higher rate of return for long-term holding. Investing in children and accumulating more will be more profitable in the future.

Re: What would you do if you get a time machine now?

If there was a time machine, most people would want to go back to the cheapest price of Bitcoin and buy as much as possible to get rich. But time cannot be reversed. Now that you know the potential and value of Bitcoin, it's never too late to buy. Buy and hold for a long time, when BTC reaches a new ATH in the future, you can still make a profit.

Re: How do you feel about market recovery
by

The market rose slightly and showed a positive market trend. Some people believe that this is the beginning of a bull market, and some people predict that it will be bullish after the Bitcoin halving next year. Calmly and patiently wait for the bear market to end, when bitcoin is more valuable and the crypto market is getting bigger.

Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors
by

on 18/01/2023, 06:38:15 UTC
Its just 11 days into the new year and 2023 is already showing signs of hope for bitcoin investors. Bitcoin is currently on 17k plus as of this morning when i check my binance app which is currently a good results as bitcoin has been stuck at 16k for a very long time. Investor and btc holders will be very happy seeing this significant rise although it is a volatile currency and can change its rate anytime yet its still a positive start to the new year.
At this moment we can hope for the rise to continue and maybe hit a point where investors can boost of a good profit added to their btc coins.
I was directed here and have learnt alot and i will no longer call it a hasty decision if i were to get my own btc in my own wallets but i haven't gathered enough finance to do that and am looking to sell some of my old stuffs which am no longer using to start my own bitcoin journey. I have some stuffs like an old TV set, some old cooking gas and sone rusty old furnitures in my house which i think can fetch me some reasonable amount of money to start this journey and the good part of it is that I don't use these stuffs so its better to sale it and use the money for my bitcoin investment.

Just hoping we all can hodl up more longer maybe 2023 has something special it has to offer #keephodling
Bitcoin investors are hopeful that BTC will rise, and many have a lot to look forward to this year. It is impossible to tell how the market will change positively, just be patient. The real winners are those who can invest in Bitcoin for the long-term, and they can always reap the benefits of it.

Bitcoin is not controlled by anyone, nor can whales control the market price. But whales play a big role in price manipulation. They try to create a panic message spread through a large number of trades to trigger certain actions in the market.

Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin

Crypto investing is risky and there is no guarantee of profit every time. So always invest money that you can afford to lose, never borrow money to invest or trade.
Although investing in Bitcoin and holding it for a long time can generally be profitable, we should only invest in cryptocurrencies with money that we can afford to lose to reduce risks and losses.

Re: Why you should be very careful with alts
by

on 10/01/2023, 05:56:27 UTC
Crypto is a perfect engine for scammers because it's still unregulated and it's also the wild west when it comes to making money quick with less efforts. .

Apart from rugpulls and influencers scam that are very famous with altcoin investment there is one particular side I want you to be much aware of.

Many altcoins you are seeing right now are build on "Make the project, promise the entire world rare utilities and never really deliver anything, they will keep using words and investors will keep hoping.

They deliver small updates only to push the price higher.

They spent hours live streaming almost everyday.

They trust hype more than anything and a finished product will ruin it.

Keep a track of your altcoins regularly and once you see the slackness in the team it's safer to switch.
There are indeed altcoins that have real value and are profitable, but most altcoins are scams. The project party will always exaggerate and give false hopes to investors to attract and gain their trust. Entering the altcoin market is best to pick projects with a lot of experience and careful research.

Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now?
by

Thinking about how bad the current bear market is is less about thinking about how to take advantage of the current situation. Over the past few years, the crypto market has still proven to be good. The bear market is precisely the best time for investment accumulation. Many well-developed currencies have been able to recover from bear markets and still have high growth potential.

Re: Why do people store their cryptocurrency on exchanges?
by
wastagnn
on 09/01/2023, 07:07:59 UTC
I am in the process of purchasing a Ledger Nano offline wallet and it got me thinking about why people store their digital assets on crypto exchanges.

These exchanges are susceptible to hacking, insolvency/bankruptcy, misuse of customer funds (FTX) etc.

What would happen if Binance got hacked tomorrow and lost the majority of its cryptocurrency? Would they be able to reimburse customers or would they become insolvent?

I asked my close group of friends how many store their assets on exchanges and only 1 out of 6 uses an offline wallet.

The recent incident with Luke Dashjr confirms that you are always at risk of being hacked no matter how vigilant you are.

Will give my thoughts on the Ledger Nano once I receive it.

People store cryptocurrencies on cryptocurrency exchanges where they can be traded and bought and sold easily. They don't really have the knowledge and skills to keep them in their wallets for long periods of time. It is also possible to profit when the currency price rises in the exchange. It is also possible to earn profits through staking and lending.

Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down
by
wastagnn
on 05/01/2023, 06:12:45 UTC
Hello Everyone,

I am not speaking about just Bitcoin. I am speaking about every cryptocurrency / token.  Regardless of crypto price fluctuations, many online and offline stores are ready to accept crypto as payment. So How will willing are you to spend crypto for your purchases?

If one doesn't spend their crypto for purchases and wait for to spend their crypto when its price is nice, are they really considering it as a cryptocurrency or can we assume like those people are treating more like a security or investment instrument?

Although there are many shops that already accept payment in cryptocurrencies, there will be some losses when using cryptocurrencies for consumption when the market is down, so try not to sell them at a low price. Now is the best time to invest in the continued accumulation of cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin should be the ultimate asset for long-term holding for better returns in the future.

Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges
by
wastagnn
on 05/01/2023, 05:58:40 UTC
This incident had a huge impact on the industry, and many exchanges have learned from it. Decentralized exchanges are not completely safe, there are many exchanges that claim to be decentralized, but in fact they are still centralized. The FTX incident will bring more attention to decentralized exchanges, and it will become a popular and relatively safe way to trade cryptocurrencies in the future.

During the bear market, there will always be a lot of bad news and FUD about cryptocurrencies in the crypto market. But none of this will affect the continued existence of cryptocurrencies, and will even make them stronger. I believe that after the encryption winter, there will be a lot of positive news and innovations in cryptocurrencies.

Re: Bitcoin isn't dying, it's alive.
by

on 02/01/2023, 07:51:46 UTC
We can see the price of Bitcoin is going down gradually but no one wants to understand it depends on your stock market it is also a digital currency through digital transactions and it is currently in bad condition Elon Musk said in 1 reply on Twitter.  Bitcoin is as cold as winter you have to wait for this of course bitcoin price may go up at the end of this winter so be patient everyone.  So if we all wait and if we all hold on to what we have, it's going to get $30,000 to $40,000 by the middle of the year and get to a very good price and it could get to a hundred if we hold it tight, so everybody's disappointed.  Let's save Bitcoin by holding instead.
Bitcoin exists and continues to grow in popularity and universal acceptance. To have enough trust in Bitcoin, accumulating and holding Bitcoin is a good choice at present. Due to Bitcoin halving and demand for it, its value will continue to grow in the future.

Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ?
by
wastagnn
on 15/12/2022, 08:46:17 UTC
I was wondering if there could still be any safe centralised exchange in the blockchain industry. Of lately lots have been unveiling itself and centralisedexchanges are at the end of it all.  Does it mean that these centralised exchanges that are in existence lacks the capability to safeguard assets and funds after attracting investors and traders to their platforms for engagement and activities?
How do you explain these things to the people whom have entrusted their funds and assets to you for safe keeping hoping that what they gave to you is under safe care only to wake up to a sad news of their assets being stolen by hackers. How do you explain all these.

At first identifying the problem is a basic course for rendering solutions. If these problems are not identified immediately by the exchanges for quick remedy then who's to be blamed for it. Do they really do constant check on their service to know their lapses, if they do, do they identify it immediately with utmost attention? Do they do a constant check and evaluation on their staff and  mechanisms.

With all these said, what are your opinions on this subject matter as I feel this needs to be looked into for possible measures to be taken for  so as to further prevent or minimise the rate at which exchanges get hacked or being careless with investors and traders funds.
Exchanges are not perfectly safe. It’s not just the issue of vulnerabilities that are vulnerable to hackers, there may also be problems of its own, such as FTX’s collapse due to financial problems, mismanagement of funds. Anything can happen at any time, and nothing is completely safe.

Re: Trading Crypto With a Job..
by
wastagnn
on 15/12/2022, 08:00:34 UTC
Does anyone here day trade crypto successfully whilst working a full time job?

I have medium experience with trading crypto and over the last few weeks have been mainly using the TradingView scalping indicator from https://cryptochiefs.io with good results. The problem is that I find it really difficult to manage the trades properly whilst working as they move fast any normally require that I am watching the screen. Kind of thinking I either need to forget about the idea or scale up from where I am and go full time.

Those of you with normal jobs, are you day trading or mainly long term crypto investors/ HODLers?!!
I would prefer to invest long term while working full time. Trading takes longer to analyze the market and can take away from working time. Trading not only takes more time but is also prone to losses. It is much better to hold for a long time with a guaranteed return, and buying regularly at low prices and waiting patiently is a profitable strategy.

Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins?
by

on 13/12/2022, 05:47:39 UTC
Bitcoin isn't going to destroy junk coins. Bitcoin is widely accepted by many users and has stronger technical support and user base.
Although there are more and more altcoins in the crypto market, the altcoins without potential will die on their own, and Bitcoin does not even need to participate.

Re: Why are crypto devs so greedy
by
wastagnn
on 13/12/2022, 02:32:52 UTC
The majority of crypto collapse always comes from the centralisation part and of cos the human greed, what do you think is the proper solution for these? To avoid hurting crypto investors and how to guarantee that their funds is safe with any platform, either Staking, Lending or Trading.

What is the way forward? What solution do you think will be effective?
Greed is human nature, and certain desires make people more greedy. Everyone wants to make a lot of profit, many people see interest in the crypto world and they think it is the easiest way to make money. Many developers have entered the cryptocurrency space with the intention of making more money, hyping and publicizing to attract more investors.

The exchange is a cryptocurrency bank, which plays a very important role in the cryptocurrency industry. Of course, it is very easy and convenient for investors to use the exchange to buy and sell Bitcoin, and it also attracts more investors, making cryptocurrency more and more popular. The existence of exchanges brings more people into the cryptocurrency world and plays a vital role in the promotion and mass application of cryptocurrencies.

Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency
by
wastagnn
on 06/12/2022, 01:46:20 UTC
When we talk about investments, whether for the long or short term, there are always dangers associated with those investments. But the advantage of holding for the long term, particularly if you are investing in a potential coin such as Bitcoin, is that it frees you from the stress caused by the daily changes in the market because you are confident that the coin in which you have invested will increase in value in the future.

Long term investment is stress free while short term investment is stressful but more profitable.

Long-term investing doesn't work with altcoins, it works better with Bitcoin.

Investing in Bitcoin guarantees profits in the long run. While altcoins can also bring us huge profits, many tokens only exist for a while. So in some cases, short-term investing in altcoins can be more profitable.
