i have been sending all my merge mined NMC to a particular address, i can see that address when i do the command:

namecoind.exe listreceivedbyaddress 0 true
the address shows up, but it says the amount and comfirmation are both 0.....

but from the btcguild website, i check my NMC payout log and it says that all the NMC has been automatically paid out to the listed address.

any ideas?

namecoin wallet help!
by

hey guys, so i started a namecoin wallet back in june when i found out that btcguild had merged mining.

just recently i realized that my btcguild interface had been automatically paying out my merged mined NMC to a wallet that i must have created previously.

i need help accessing those NMC!

i have a folder on my desktop that i remember was the folder for NMC related wallet files.
there is a file called namecoind.exe and a few other .dll files. are these the files to the wallet i had previously created?
i have never checked my namecoin balance or send any NMC since i created the wallet.
im trying to follow some simple steps i found on google to at least try to make sure that all the NMC is sent to my wallet.

can anyone who is familiar with the process walk me through? any help at this point is greatly appreciated!

Anyone have an inside scoop of when KNC will possibly list Jupiters? It will be Christmas in 11 days, then New Year's so anything to do with shipping will be delayed or who knows what. Are they thinking of releasing maybe this week, the next? I'm probably positive someone must have called them to ask. And most likely wouldn't post that "secret" info here.

Given their past pricing trend I am expecting the new batch to be anywhere between USD 2995-3995

fingers crossed!

Why 560Gh ?
November Jupiters are running at least at 650Gh

that sale was for a first batch jupiter, he just included it in this thread to show that he has had a successful transaction.

Ok, I think perhaps it works now. At least it shows the change I made to the payout amount, although it doesn't say anything about NMC in the stats page.

Is that ok, not to give any stats about NMC?
Yes, there are no stats for NMC.

theres no way of seeing how much NMC i have in my account? how do i transfer the NMC out then?

I haven't gotten any stats updates in over 3 hours, is stats paused for the time being?

same problem, on my computer it shows my miners hashing away, but on the eligius stat page my hash rates are frozen and not moving at all.

does this mean were still actively mining but the stats just arent showing up? or are we actually not producing at btc during this time?

ordered 20 Neptunes...
Go big or go home motherfucker.....

You have to explain us how you did it because there is currently a 10 units limit per customer, at least for me (I tried too).

hmm..i'm in the position where I DID PAY WITH PAYPAL anyone else...I was on here ..saw the announce went to my account paid paypal got confirm with paypal and knc as paid all is good saw and email 10min later saying you can't pay with paypal from knc announcement after the fact..hmmmm

am I the only one who slipped thru the noose?

so now I have 1 Neptune stating paid in full via paypal cc option amex

2nd one sitting there bitcoin only option (hey I tried but they locked it up now

so hmmm just asking if anyone else half assed backed into this?

also how many units are they gonna pre-order the first batch in 1/2 hr between my orders above went up 618 units or some such

anyway..this whole dumb and lucky method seems to be working well for me ...now if BFL monachs I'm stuck with come thru I will believe in unicorns and faires

gonna go buy a lottery ticket while my luck holds

Searing

In fact if you bought BTC with what you paid for your miner, you would be much better off, except everyone seems to ignore this.

And folks that say this over and over always ignore the bigger elephant which is what is your target sell price?

So, right now, say how much BTC you will buy today and how high you will wait to sell.   I don't remember anyone saying they were buying $14000 worth of BTC in June and holding until they were $800 each

What matters is how much more $$$ you end up with.  If you end up with more $$$ after only mining 60-80% of your BTC back since you end up selling at a later time than if you just bought btc and then had your weak hands shook, and only gained half of what you would of if you bought miners and mined..

talk about that side of reality.. the human element

so in summary, the people who keep repeating this dogma of just buy btc instead of mining are the people that don't want anyone else to mine...  game theory 101

well said...i agree with this.

Go back to 0.98.1, it's more reliable for many. Most people abandonded 0.99 as a lame duck.

98.1 beta seems to be the best in my book.. I run that on both of my 5 board Neptunes (or whatever we want to call them)

the newer cgminers are starting to have better features though, so hopefully we will be able to take those and run them on 98.1 beta  (unless there are some new files in .99 that I needs that I am not aware of)

any idea where i can download the 0.98.1 beta firmware?

EDIT: never mind, sorry - i see the link now one page back!

how do i turn on --avalon-auto on my minis? im running 0821 firmware.

what exactly does this feature do?

It constantly alters the chip frequency to maintain the best hashrate / lowest hw error %

To use enter --avalon-auto into the more options field in cgminer configuration tab.

cool thanks, ill give that a try.

i see that you have other commands entered in the 'more options' field - what are other commands for the device? if its not too much trouble could you please list out the commands and what they do so i could mess around with my unit?

real--quiet makes the device more quiet than --quiet?

The more I play with these things the clearer it is to me that they are junk. I've got two Avalons that I have to manually restart cgminer on about every 4 hours otherwise their hash rates drop to under 100 mhs. As soon as I restart cgminer they go back to their advertised speeds. Also while they are running slow the web interface is SUPER choppy.

Is there a way to force cgminer to restart itself every 6 hours or so?

Oh, all hardwired not wi-fi.

I guess I'm not totally surprised that they are shit.

you can give this a try:

1. log in to your miner via it's IP address.

2. go to the 'system' tab.

3. click in to the 'scheduled tasks' tab.

4. under the existing commands paste these commands in.

0  */4 *   *   *     /etc/init.d/cgminer restart

0  20  *   *   *     /sbin/reboot

5. what this does: have the device restart CGminer every 4 hrs (change the '4' value according to the frequency you desire) & have the device do a full reboot every 20 hrs (change the '20' value according to the frequency you desire).

please let me if this has helped you - this has fixed a lot of my issues with my minis (i have 6).
