While your equipment sits there you have others who are in the same boat looking to get into the BTC world of mining, You also have the 1s already hooked, both buying equipment, meaning your shares will get less and less, the ROI gets further away. 3 months goes to 6 months, 6 to 12..... Your now in the 2nd category and look to either reinvest the BTC you have made or spend more money to keep up.
The BTC circle of life begins!

Power for a mining rig

Hi there,

i was hoping to see if I could get a little help or suggestions, maybe a really noob question and I can;t see any answer out there and thing I have seen don't seem safe :S

I'm just in the process of getting a few cubes setup but am curious about powering the units.
I have got a Corsair RM1000, but is the only ways to power the everything to either have it plugged into a motherboard or short out the connection for the board?

I hope that makes sense? but up until now I've either had usb miners or blades connected to a backplane and server power.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi, been using slushs pool for a while now but have a question which I can't find the answer for anywhere obvious.
The email I registered with on the pool I no longer have access to. I need to change the address my payouts go to but believe this requires an email to verify. I can't see anywhere on the site or within my profile to change the registered address and have an amount of coins I don't want to lose in just registering a new account.
Thank you in advance.

Hi all.
I've been mining for a while now after setting up 3 computers with varying bits are hardware in. The main aim was to just have them ticking away but as its gone on it's all got very addictive to try and get that little more and it was all going well and then over the last couple of weeks the amount I get is getting lower and lower. I've been reading about ASIC miners for a while and it all sounded pie in the sky in my opinion for any kind of mainstream hardware to be rolling out but obviously that was wrong as now all companies seem to be shipping in total hash has flown up and I've been left behind with my old kit. So this is what's brought me here, after looking into the ASIC miners in slot more detail (at first the prices where crazy and no promise of when it may arrive or the 1s that would arrive where no better priced than and normal graphics card)
So on me looking around for an ASIC miner I came across here and it's been great reading all the other miners info, tips etc.
so I've been looking at the USB eruptor miners. Think with my current setup they'd go nicely, bought with bit coins and add to it as more coins come in. Any one else recommend any others to look at? Think the editors do 333mh at 34 bbc give or take with some postage.
Anyway look forward to reading through the forums more and more and improve my setup Smiley
