Re: Stop glorifying centralized exchanges.

DEX is still lacking in terms of liquidity though, without centralisation there would be lacking in terms the PR, marketing activities and incentives systems to keep interest in place, still these pitfalls can be improved overtime on existing DEX like waves and stellar onces, centralised business well, you are complied with laws so does your money

These psychologies has been always been there since humanity. Words from mouth is still the greatest method to influence people's mindset, decision making Those bragging how good of a coin but not with any constructive justification means they are one of the investor, many have long immune to these and choose to do their own research for the sake of the hard-earned wealth. Do you see how many new comers that simply buy an ATH shitcoin and got rekt from it? I done that once and its over and that's one good lesson

1 satoshi tokens? probably for some quick jump for 100x if that coin is 1 of the miracle among 2300 altcoins, if it's a actively development coins that suffered a 90% off from ATH and you DIDN'T sell it then its your own problem for picking the wrong entry. Most baggers got into the first dump, not anticipating the incoming winter that bleed all 100m marketcap back to a few m and its real pain, there's no choice but either hodling or sell it as dusts back to BTC. Crypto has been that way since it's that saturated and some are doom to fail

Re: Is it just me or is the market dominance of BTC dangerously high?
by

IMO the market dominance does't really matter as long the project delivers in long term, investors look at Bitcoin differently, a much superior assets compared to existing ones with high volatility. Many alts have different purpose and never would be as popular as bitcoin, if bitcoin moons insanely high of course people would sell their pairs to join the ride. Only good alts could co-exist with Bitcoin and grow together, thats why i hold both bitcoin and alts to avoid scenario where it bleed out all your potential gains

Re: Stop badmouthing new projects
by

New projects can come in but if they have insufficient technical expertise it would be difficult for them, yes blockchain is awesome and companies are making products out of it but the fact is gathering funds from ICO is definitely harder as it involves investors and they wouldn't like tokens with low liquidity. Companies can bankrupt but crypto just would be 'there' even its dead, flooding the market and confuses investors.

Re: What do u think about BNB? Worth to buy?
by
waynechong1995
on 06/07/2019, 16:23:03 UTC
If you see the original sole purpose is only for fees, i believe the ATH it has nowadays is from the immense popularity and IEO mechanism, yes BNB do buyback their tokens quarterly, still it's a long way to go 100m where the reduced supply is significant. i would say its really inflated with tons of support from various factor, you could consider a safer but not that superior investment as you know crypto is unpredicatable

Re: Would you participate in new project if it is not listed in ICO rating websites?
by
waynechong1995

5 stars for many projects but look where they are now, slaghtered from trends and other big coins. Do wake up and realize that market is over saturated and there simply isn't that much ETH to move after to ICO's era. The only viable stuff over these sites are quick Infos, or slightly lighter analysis on their project's nature, they do not comply any of your loses so why do you trust them solely.

Re: Which is better ICO, STO Or IEO ?

What only matters is PR and popularity. Platform is just a choice and both three were pretty much established in terms of usability and accessibility. Project have little project to expose themselves on target investors - ads, trader platform are effective but determining short term success or not to trip on the start is liquidity and security, much of the projects lacking these days

Re: Bounty alone is not enough
by

There's tons of ways to promote a project, its all about the effectiveness on different trends, i believe bounty and niche side would work as effective as other common means like advertisement, endorsement and such. The value proposition needs to be there on point as many investor have limited knowledge on reading the technical details, they want good words and if project could satisfy these properties, mostly about legals and exchanges to attract investors knowing their funds are safe from the start at least.

Re: Good news for bitcoin holders, after falling price now Bitcoin Surges above 12%
by
waynechong1995
on 05/07/2019, 16:28:30 UTC
On the chart it seems to be a pretty normal correction after a endless surge over weeks to top 10k easily, look how it was around the 4-6ish range those days, the buy/sell pressure so heavy thus the trend is only the major factor. I would wait for another low to get in my BTC for cheaper alts, the bullish is still there over 8k and there's so much players to catch the bottom

Re: What type of challenge do you face when you want to buy or sell bitcoin?
by
waynechong1995
on 05/07/2019, 16:26:25 UTC
On the fiat -> crypto side, choices is pretty limited, usually what you can buy/sell were ETH, BTC and stables as they are more regulated on papers regarding these assets, platforms like remitano, localbtc and localethereum is pretty established, but you have to deal with local fiat fluctuations as crypto stick USD mainly.

Other alts is totally different stories, its the place where you can diving in danger in search of a coin that bring the greatest returns, over there its about how you buy/sell against BTC or stables. Most of the trading challenges take places here.

Re: Whats going on with most new projects?
by
waynechong1995
on 04/07/2019, 13:45:38 UTC
They don't have the reputation to keep investors to hold tight with their project tokens, there's too many of them and competition is fierce, most of the investor can't just bag when there's a bull season and most of them are eyeing the big ones grabbing the top spots. New project needs time and only a few might shine in awhile, look how COSMOS gone for almost 2 years and only made a recent comeback.

Re: Not all bounty hunters do research on projects
by
waynechong1995
on 04/07/2019, 13:43:15 UTC
Most of them might be spamming the fb, twitter submission with bots doing their works, thats why it always be flooded with hundreds and thousands of them. I do at least verify on the surface about the roadmap, people and most importantly the product they do and how their ICO can succeed. It's a very bad idea wasting time on bounties which lousy reputation and ways to handle investor money.

It takes quite some time to see how thing goes, and usually they are masked by PR, or simply the quality of work might not be what you expecting, i would its definitely better to invest in company that have a big bank to keep going, rather than tiny startup that give you a hardship time which most of the people wouldn't be enduring. You could actually weight the process by reading their commits and stuff, not just solely on news if you want to have a greater picture.

by

I do make a quick search while detailing the spreadsheet while checking the stakes given, i do realize sometimes esp social media can have multiple submission which you have no idea how it happens, with a big gap in between, it's a pretty common scam where there's no verification on submissions. It would be a real pain not getting paid on months worth of work promoting a good project

Re: Some Risks Of Long-Term Hodling Alts
by
waynechong1995
on 03/07/2019, 11:03:09 UTC
Long term hodling doesn't mean accept your loss and let it grow like seeds, you need to still somehow keep the project status in your mind updated once in awhile, missing swaps are pure stupidity as I know people might be insensitive just because the money is not in 'fiat' mode. Somehow I ALMOST lost some of my  private keys from months ago, I kept the passphrase screenshots scattered in my pc, you might remember those tokens but don't forget the ways of accessing them too!

Re: Time to fill bag with altcoin
by

The trend seems to be a reversal phase for alts to go up against weak BTC, I'm buying some top 100 alts like ICX, nano, iota, but not bad that hard anymore as diversification is still crucial to reduce some risks. It's really a big difference if you have a little patience and buy a little soon or earlier based on your researched bottom

Re: Who Says Bear Market is BAD?
by
waynechong1995

Some projects got their pocket burned when their Eth reverse gone bad and the scale of their expansion is too much, much like the early days were . com companies storm the market. Most of them would suffer or even die after the winter. Crucial point when a bear lasted really long, maybe a year or so we would see who's the winner. On trade side should be pretty much same as long you know how to short and long assets

Re: Bitcoin crush the altcoins?!
by
waynechong1995
on 02/07/2019, 11:39:53 UTC
With more speculators only those with real adoption will succeed, most of them altcoins wouldn't go back and ATH until they hit a wide spread, consistent users. Bitcoin crashes and brings down alts definitely but many were having strong confidences and support. Unlike the 2017 days where a random blockchain have close to 100m marketcap, now is the real deal for them to shine, just see how BNB goes crazy in a crytpo winter

Re: Bitcoin is irreversible: strength and weakness
by

It was designed to do so, once that transaction is broadcast-ed and verified things are certain. Its particularly 'bad' for most of the industry use cases where error is prone and rollbacks are essential for recovery plans. Yet bitcoin itself is money/assets, not banks, the network itself doesn't have any oracle layer to govern these transaction and i would say this feature fits correctly for money. Scams and those human traits to get wealthy by exploiting others, much like slaves on the old days. Dealing with these problems should be come from people protecting their private keys, having multiple addresses to safe-guard themselves
