Escrow is a MUST!

Sent the funds. I'm waiting for a reply for the OP.

Who was the escrow provider?  Huh  Where are the transaction IDs, etc?

I preferred not using escrow because nobody was online and i need to go in 15 mins...

EDIT: Oh jeez, he went off halfway through the deal! How dreadful  Undecided

Re: [ANN] Official Sexcoin Thread - Windows Fix for CLIENTs stuck at 400000!!!

4. I note in a thread that on the 7th of December, the attorney general of Florida was allegedly advised of cryptsy's operations and showed great concern about the potential for fraud, and will be investigating their operations. While this may just be FUD spread by a competitor of cryptsy to tarnish their reputation, if true then any coin dependant on cryptsy is in for a rough time.

Sounds like FUD.  Unless they directly deal in USD, it can't be used for fraud.  At least, can't directly be used for fraud.

Always keep in mind that mining calculations are NOTHING but an estimate. It is possible to have a run of bad luck, especially when the network hash rate jumps, and fall in way below the estimated reward.

Bad luck can affect pools just like it can affect solo mining.  Back in the summer I was mining litecoin on a pool, the estimate was that the pool should have been finding ~2 blocks per day.  That pool hit a VERY bad run, it went 6 days without finding a block, pool hashrate and difficulty stayed roughly consistent the whole time.  And then when it finally got a block, it got orphaned... ouch. talk about a kick in the teeth.  Then 2 more days to the next block, then it resumed a neutral luck pattern again.  I actually switched pools after the second day of nothing, but I kept watching it.

It re-enforces what I always say: It doesn't matter what method of mining you choose.  If you average out your mining over a long enough period of time, the total amount you earn will be about the same.  The only thing that changes is the payout, either small amounts throughout the period, or a large lump sum at the end.
How long is long enough for it to average out?  Well... that could be a long time depending on your hashrate vs the total network hashrate.  It's not necessarily the time to your first solo block, it takes more time than that to average out.
The rule of thumb that I've heard stated, and I tend to agree with, is that if you can solo mine at least 1 block per day, then it makes sense to go solo.  Less than 1 block per day, then you're better off on a pool.  I can't think of any scenario that would necessitate someone needing more than 1 payout per day.

Re: [POLL] Cryptsy SXC/BTC Pair

Besides, a lot of people have first to buy Bitcoins, then convert them to LTC and buy with them SXC. So if SXC/BTC market will be opened, I'm sure Vern will be happy with the trading volume achieved.

On the contrary.  Cryptsy would actually stand to lose by opening SXC/BTC.  Right now they are collecting percentages on two trades instead of one.  First they take a percent on BTC/LTC, then they take a percent again on LTC/SXC.  They have this luxury as long as they are the only game in town.  Once SXC gets picked up on more exchanges, they will start to lose their SXC trading volume.  THEN they might consider adding it to the BTC market, as a way to get the volume back.

People have been wanting this for awhile.  But in my honest opinion, it didn't make sense before because the value and the network stability/security wasn't there.  But now people are realizing that this coin is not just a joke, and really does offer something unique and have value and the potential for more value.  So now it does make sense to add SXC to the BTC market.  In fact that's one of the necessary next steps to help take the coin to the next level to reach its full potential.

If your client is stuck around block 400000, download the fixed client below!

In the zip file is a replacement sexcoin-qt.exe
Close your client, overwrite sexcoin-qt.exe with the one in the zip file.
Restart your client.

Nothing else is necessary.

Blockheight Fix Windows Client:

http://lavapit.lavajumper.com/dl/sexcoin-qt.blockheightFix.zip

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2snyqxgndv8my54/sexcoin-qt.blockheigtFix.zip

Does this only affect the windows client?

Game on bro - Investigation & WAR has began - I'm gunna find you and hurt you too now...

Yeah, it's happening to all the pools.  Seems like they take turns which pool they attack, as a way of keeping as many offline as possible at the same time.

Hello, I started to mine sexcoins in the pool http://blackgold.pro:9699/static/ I set the payment to the cryptsy address ;

Rzj2681mG6BnHks3cAQ5EJ7BVnoTCHvfKd

And I havent received a single coin, I have sent them a ticket but I havent received answer yet, and I seeked in the sexcoin blockchain but is always down.

 Huh

Someone could help me?

Never use an exchange address as username on P2Pool!  You will not receive your coins.  Not only does Cryptsy warn you not to do this, BlackGold says on their homepage too: "Don't use an exchange address!".    P2Pool doesn't send the coins, it mines them.  And the exchange is unable to determine who mined them.  Just look at the transactions list in your own wallet.  Notice that the 'mined' coins have no address associated?  Well the exchange would see the same thing, incoming mined coins with no way to know who mined them.

Price still seems to be sinking. Didn't think it would ever go below .002. What price do you guys think that it will finally start stabilizing at?

It's probably a safe bet that it will keep slowly bleeding value until the next big news hits.  Which will most likely be the release of the new client.  Where will it bottom out?  Hard to say, depends how many hardcore believers there out there!

Yeah there will be swings. Especially with the coins drastic price increase there are a few massive holders dumping coins and driving price Down. hopefully when there is a bit better distribution the price will stabilize a bbitand even go up. It seems like everyone is tripping over each otherto sell cheaper lol.

Yeah, in the short term the big dumps hurt the price.  But in the long term, those big dumps are actually good for the coin.  Because it helps to 'spread the wealth'.  The more people that have it, the more will use it, and the more than use it, the more it will become valuable.

Hey Wedge, I have jumped over to your pool, I see activity in the /web/log but I am not seeing myself listed in the /users.

Should I be showing up on /users as well?

I'm pretty sure the /users is the same data as the payouts page.  You won't show up there until you've been on the pool long enough to start getting paid.

I would strongly suggest http://outhashed.com for your P2Pool needs.

I've upgraded that server twice over the past couple days.  It's currently handling 100MH/s, and it's running well.  I'm still working on optimizing as much as possible, I want to get the DOA's down to at most 10%.  It's current hovering between 15% to 20%, which is a tad better than the 50% + we were getting when the first big load came!

Wow, in 7 hours and 3 GPUs, I found only 1 block.

Well, that's how luck works.
It's basically a lottery system.  The network announces a new lottery winner every 60 seconds. Every hash you submit is equivalent to buying more lottery tickets.  But since there's so many people buying so many tickets, each one decreases your own chances.  One day you might get 3 in a row.  Other days you might not get any.  That's where the law of averages comes into play, as long as you average it out over a long enough period of time, you will see you are getting rewards at a predictable rate.

Edit: Also, the general rule of thumb is that you should only solo mine if you have enough hash power to consistently solve at least one block per day.  Otherwise you will get way too much variance and it will mostly just be an exercise in frustration.
