You can simply treat stellar as the exchange Kratom is traded on because deposits and withdraws to and from Stellar are possible. You can use the scrypt blockchain or the stellar token however you wish. Kratom is still proof of work and has a mining pool as well.

Example scenario of spending 5000 Maza to get 8,000,000 Kratom

Your 5,000 Maza is added to the pool increasing it to 20,000.

You now spent 25% of the 20,000 Maza which entitles you to 25% (8,000,000 -- 0.25% goes to increasing the pool on the exchange.) of the Kratom on the exchange.

This effect is less dramatic if you were to spend a lesser stake of what the exchange has on hand. Experiment with lesser amounts to see the difference in exchange rate.

The same effect happens for selling Kratom:

The pool would hold a little over 40M Kratom and your 8M sell would account for nearly 20% of that pool entitling you to 20% of the 15,000 Maza held on the exchange which would be nearly 3,000 Maza.

Rate: 0.000375 Maza per Kratom.

With selling 1M Kratom: 452 Maza.

Rate: 0.000452

This basically simulates what happens on exchanges that use limit orders left by previous users without the need to have plenty of users doing that. If someone were to sell or buy a good percentage of the total orderbook on a normal exchange they would have a similar dramatic effect on the exchange rate.
