Re: Most used card issuer will stop to support all the cards they issued

Most of the Bitcoin prepaid card companies in the world use the same card issuer the exact one I am talking about.
And yes, we also have partnered with they (that's why we also received notification).

If your card's brand is Visa, it's very likely that your card is issued by this card issuer.
You could ask your card company whether their card is issued by the company based in UK to find out.

So who is actually stopping this from happening? I'm not familiar with WageCan so I don't know if you have a partner such as visa or Mastercard or if this is a smaller card that's just prepaid and ... that's it?

Re: WageCan - Gold card
by

Hi bptovtmg,
thanks for asking me this question.
The answer is simple - the cost of the card itself is much more expensive than another card, and the price includes DHL shipping fee.

As a product manager, I know the price is much more expensive than what we offered before (and I have no power to change it).
That's why I intentionally put 'Use WageCan referral code to get 20% off' on the pricing page and use our referral code to promote our card in this forum.

And there is one thing I would like to point out is that we've been selling Golden card with that price tag way before the whole incident happened. So the whole 'WageCan took advantage the situation to increase the price' argument doesn't hold.
You all could check wayback machine to see our pricing page yourself.

Hope this clear things up a little bit.

Thanks for the anwer, but everybody in this thread being your potential customer would really appreciate your answer why you charge so much like $150+ minimum for issuing the card?

@servsec thanks for pm me about this thread, somehow I haven't seen this one before.
For your question, no, we don't offer a refund if the card stops working under the circumstances beyond our control, e.g. card issuer terminates the contract with us, like what the Gibraltar-based company did to all the players recently.
But we've been trying our best to keep that thing from happening (because it'll also hurt our bottom line. It makes no sense for us to let that happen purposely).

In the worst-case scenario, we'll find an alternative card issuer for our current customer. Just to be clear, this doesn't necessarily mean that we'll give a new card for free.

Hi west man4,
Our facility is in Iceland.
The egg-shaped sculpture is at the Keflavik airport Smiley

We'll film a video tomorrow in our facility and upload it in this week.
Stay tuned!

Where are your facilities located?
I don't recognize that one picture of an acorn in the picture.
It doesn't look like you typical China mining facility so it is in Europe?
Tried to look for that information on the site you listed above but did not find any region listed of where it is.

Photos of the mining facility are online, video will come next week Smiley
Please check it yourself: https://hash.wagecan.com/

Hi,
I'm interested in your service.
But it's a bit difficult to verify the authenticity of a service based on just a website.
Can you link us to the photos and videos of your mining facilities and show us your mining address.

The difference is that we're legit.
WageCan has been around since 2014 and we want to build a solid business here.
We believe combining cloud mining and our card service and will make it easier for those who want an easy way to convert their payouts into fiat currencies.

Just upload the photos of our facility, will record a video next week in our facility in Iceland.

I got screwed with microhash.  How is this different?

Hi Dapper,
WageCan's Golden card is not issued by Wavecrest, hence it could be shipped worldwide.
Now with referral code "7NNcu6J6" you could get it 20% off.

Disclaimer: I work there.

Wavecrest is pulling support (your cards will no longer work) for NON-EU residents as of October 15.   Was informed by bulkmail from Xapo and Cryptopay this past week.

Anyone know of non-Wavecrest issued btc debit cards?

I already have Bitpay, which works great, but I'd prefer not routing my funds through a US bank.

Re: WageCan New Cloud Mining Service + Bitcoin Debit Card Giveaway
by

Common questions:

How much is the maintenance fee?
Maintenance fee is USD 0.00028 per GH/s per day. Although the maintenance fee is fixed in USD, it will deduct from the daily payouts in BTC.

How long does the "Open-ended contract" last?
The specific duration of an open-ended contract is variable and determined by three factors: The mining difficulty, the Bitcoin vs USD exchange rates and the maintenance fee.
When a contract becoming unprofitable, namely, the payouts can’t cover the maintenance fee, then the resulting daily payouts will be zero. After that, the contract will continue to mine for 30 days.
If the contract does not return to profitability in this 30 days period, that contract will be terminated.

How much hash power should I buy?
Generally speaking, the Jet plan will be a good starter for you to try.

When will I break even?
Because the payouts will be influenced by the mining difficulty and the Bitcoin vs USD exchange rates, it's hard to predict how long it takes for each plan to break even.
But you could use this site https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty to have a general sense of how long it takes to break even.

Well, all the MyChoice cards are dead now for those who live outside of Europe.
https://themerkle.com/xapo-and-shakepay-to-suspend-cryptocurrency-debit-card-services-outside-the-eu-soon/

If you're interested looking for an alternative, WageCan is one of the remains that could still ship cards to outside of Europe.
Use me referral code https://wagecan.com/s/7NNcu6J6 to get 20% off.

Those are our ratings on https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/wagecan-usd-card/ and https://www.trustpilot.com/review/wagecan.com.
Feel free to ask me if you have any concerns.

Edit: Thanks for Samarkand to point out my error in my first paragraph! Fixed it now:)

LOL as I said, it's truth.
https://themerkle.com/xapo-and-shakepay-to-suspend-cryptocurrency-debit-card-services-outside-the-eu-soon/

Hi all,
this is Weiting from WageCan, Bitcoin debit card company based in Taiwan.

I guess some of the users are notified by their debit card providers that they no longer can provide service for those users live outside of certain countries and don't get a clear explanation. I don't know whether I'm authorized to say those things, but I think, as companies, they should let their users know the whole story.

Let me explain how did this thing happen:
Company V, which owns company W (the most widely used card issuer), was acquired by another company two years ago.
And the new boss of company W recently decides to limit the card issuing business only to the residents of the European territory.
Furthermore, the Bitcoin debit card companies work with company W need to notify users who don't live in those countries that they need to spend all their balance in 30 days, after which the cards will be suspended. (In another word, you can 't use your card after 30 days)

That's what had happened as far as I know.
If your Bitcoin debit card company says that "we're negotiating with our card issuer(company W) to extend contract blablabla", personally, I think that's a losing battle.

For those want to use Bitcoin debit card outside of Europe, the only option is to choose the cards not issued by company W.
And WageCan has a card named Golden card, is not issued by company W.
If you're interested, feel free to use my referral code https://wagecan.com/s/7NNcu6J6 to get 20% off.

Here is our pricing table https://wagecan.com/pricing
Those are the rating we got from our users https://www.trustpilot.com/review/wagecan.com, https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/wagecan-wallet/

Feel free to ask me anything.

EDIT:
I have to modify the content because of some agreements between company W and our company, sorry Sad

It's literally no name is printed on the card itself.
But you could use it normally like any ordinary cards - withdraw from ATMs or shop in store or online.

Feel free to use my referral code "7NNcu6J6" to get 20% off Smiley

@weiting@Wagecan,
I'm about to order it and then I find this out:

" *Name printing is not available on Golden Card."

Can you clarify this???
I've never seen a card without a name printed out and How can I use it online? Without a name printed out it's impossible to use it online???

Please let us know what is this. Huh Huh Huh

Important too: What is the flag for this card? v1s4? M4st3r?
