Re: What would you be doing if there was no bitcoin?
by

on 26/06/2021, 05:59:11 UTC
I am very grateful that I was able to meet Bitcoin, to learn and understand cryptocurrency. I think all of this is very interesting. My mind is not very smart, but after I came into contact with cryptocurrency and blockchain, I found that my mind began to change. Be flexible and learn a lot of knowledge about investment. If I don’t have Bitcoin, I might still be an ordinary employee working in a certain company or choose to continue studying. Although I have not achieved the freedom of wealth, I have gained wealth on this. Enough for me to live well, it changed my life, and blockchain technology is gradually affecting the whole world.

Re: If Whale hoards bitcoin, will the market run out of BTC to buy?
by

The BTC protocol will pay the miners though transaction fee. There's will always be a market for buyers & sellers. There will always be Centralized exchanges offering customers 5-6% APY on BTC deposits.
When BTC does hit 1m / holders of will be able to take 4-5% or 5k - 6k monthly and live of the interest. Also I heard that BTC will have smart contract coming future so lot of BtC will be locked up in Defi .I only have a small amount of bitcoin right now, but I plan to buy more in the future.

Re: Why is moving mining out of China a bad thing?

First, some background. Bitcoin is often (falsely I might add) criticized for being centralized in China. This criticism includes the fact that China "owns" most of the hashrate (often cited at 70%+) and therefore controls bitcoin with the threat of shutting down the network or confiscation of coins. While this FUD is easily disputed if you put in the time to do the research, the reality is that it is 10x easier to simply spread fake news.

Presently, Mining moving out of China is now being labelled as bad for Bitcoin even though it was previously used to accuse bitcoin of being a China coin. As usual, FUD and short term price are often noise. Focus on the signal, Bitcoin is distributed ledger that ensures 21 million coins, immutability and uncensorship resistance. As long as the fundamentals continue to grow, Bitcoin is provably stronger.

I am very happy to see that another country has begun to recognize Bitcoin transactions. With the passage of the Bitcoin bill in El Salvador, I feel that more and more countries will join the camp, and many countries are ready to seize this opportunity , Following the trend of the times, Bitcoin has been recognized by more and more countries.

Re: Should bitcoin really be used as currency?
by
wendy sy
on 24/06/2021, 00:53:59 UTC
If Bitcoin is treated as a legal currency, or the function of completely replacing legal currency may not work. After all, the total amount of Bitcoin is limited. As the amount of Bitcoin mining decreases and gradually approaches the total amount, people may be reluctant to sell themselves. Bitcoin in hand, it reduces circulation and becomes deflation, and we also know that Bitcoin has a relatively high daily volatility, and there are problems such as transfer fees. There may be technologies such as the Lightning Network that will slowly solve these problems. But I think Bitcoin is still not suitable to be used as an actual currency.

Re: Why are we all waiting for a certain price to sell Bitcoin?

My Bitcoin are apart of my family assets treasury. You don’t sell assets. You finance them, and leverage the equity to buy more assets.
I’m never selling a single satoshi, and I’ll continue to convert as much fiat as I can spare.

A few years ago we also encountered scenes like today. It was worse than now. We have survived that moment. Now it’s just a short correction. Don’t worry, I believe that a new bull market will usher in a big drop in Bitcoin. , Come on, Bitcoin will bring us new surprises and hopes, don't give up on it.

What happened to all the FUD that Bitcoin is too centralized because of China's miners? They're getting kicked out, and mining will become more decentralized, this is GOOD NEWS.
Somehow the BTC naysayers spin this as the new FUD. Newbies don't get too scared, powerful forces trying to buy your stash on sale, don't let them.

Why do people invest in cryptocurrencies despite it being so volatile?
by

Lots of newbies ask this question.

I guess the simple answer to this question is — it's the choice of people + the opportunities crypto offer over stocks or Gold.

In simpler terms for a better Risk Reward Ratio.

There are too many options available to invest our hard earned money. Generally risk averse people choose FDs or if little better then it's Mutual Funds.

People with little more risk appetite go for stock markets and no doubt crypto market. Age definitely matters. As with our age; risk taking capacity decrease.

That's why you will find max number of people (at this stage atleast) who are invested in crypto mostly between (22–34 ). I am not saying this arbitrarily. There were many researchs in the past that suggests this.

As crypto is a comparatively a new market ; there is no price stability & a little news or event can shake the market well. Thats why tweets from Elon Musk can turn the whole market in red. Though it's not true that this manipulation part is absent in stocks. You must have seen that a little statement from Footballer Ronaldo tanked the share price of cocacola within 24 hours. Manipulation is everywhere.

So the bottom line is — it's the risk taking capacity of any person that drives them towards any market.

But sometimes not taking risks is the biggest risks people take. As the whole world is adopting this new type of asset class ; allocating a small percentage of your portfolio ( say 5–7% ) into crypto can be good move. Though it's not a financial advice.

Re: Why is bitcoin plunging? What is the reason for this?
by
wendy sy
on 21/06/2021, 05:56:55 UTC
Because Bitcoin has risen too fast in the early days (in fact, all cryptocurrencies are the same), a callback is inevitable. The current price has fallen to the level of three months ago, and it is very likely that it will continue to fall. It is not impossible to fall below 35,000. For any asset, it is impossible to rise at a high speed forever. A proper correction is the way to keep the market healthy.

Re: Bitcoin as an international currency
by

Absolutely it can br tracked. That's the benefit of having an open ledger system in place. We can track each and every transaction.
Coming to how it would work as a global currency, I believe if BTC becomes the global currency, it would become much more stable and also there needs to be certain regulators in place for BTC. Also, the value will sky rocket as governments would stock more Bitcoin and as we know its a deflationary asset (with limited supply), the increased demands would take BTC to unimaginable value.

Re: Is buying three bitcoin worth it?

My advice is be more reasonable. Invest some money into Bitcoin (or crypto in general) but diversify your investment. You should never invest the majority of your savings into any one thing unless you’re buying your forever home or making a business investment. My opinion is you should have a healthy mix of retirement fund (401k), property (physical), stocks, and a little cash on the side. Crypto is a great thing to add to this list but again.. be smart and reasonable. Also never invest what you don’t feel 100% comfortable losing.

Re: Reasons to Invest in Bitcoin??
by

Bitcoin itself has value, not only exchange value, but also has the function of rapid self-appreciation. Bitcoin's exchangeable equivalents not only have exchange value, but can be exchanged for equivalent exchange with any item on the market. Even the self itself has the function of rapid self-appreciation due to its scarcity and the high cost of self-production.

They talk badly about what they dont understand. They are both old school investors who favour businesses, bricks and mortar. A millionaire im more inclined to follow is Robert Kiyosaki, his investment starategies are flexible and he is always educating himself and other on current smart money decisions.

During the covid-19, I also tried to invest in cryptocurrency, because there was no source of wages when I was at home, and the price of goods was still rising, and the currency was depreciating. At this time, I think that cryptocurrency is more worthwhile than fiat currency, and it is indeed through encryption. Currency has accumulated a little wealth, and Bitcoin as a long-term store of value is still more reliable than other methods.

What is the most optimistic result of Bitcoin?
by

on 15/06/2021, 06:53:30 UTC
I think the most optimistic outcome for Bitcoin would be to return to its roots, which is to play to the nature of bitcoin as a currency, as the opposite of global fiat currencies, coexisting with global fiat currencies and ready to replace the declining credit of fiat currencies, such as overissued US dollars.

The next few years will continue to be the trend of Bitcoin. I have always believed that it will become more and more recognized by the public. El Salvador uses Bitcoin as legal tender, which indirectly promotes other countries to gradually recognize the legality of Bitcoin. It will get better and better.

At present, most countries should allow the transaction of Bitcoin, but some countries are still banning Bitcoin. Some countries have recognized Bitcoin as the legal tender of their own countries. I think one day in the near future, more and more countries will recognize Bitcoin.

In fact, I think the price of Bitcoin has been hovering around $30,000. In fact, I think it is a good time for beginners to buy, but you must hold it for a long time and do not be influenced by the market. I believe that Bitcoin will break through a higher new position.
