This is a terrible idea to say the least.  If smoothie wanted these out he would have made them.  You have no idea as to why the designs were created and not released. Respect the maker....what next a flood of new cas 10s on the market?

Some of those who complained here don’t even support/like smoothie and often times go out of their way to shit on him as a creator as they do me. Hence why this coin exists:

Whether they care for or dont in terms of dealing with smoothie is irrelevent i think here.  Do you know why they werent released by smoothie?  If not why would you go forward with this.  Its unethical.

Nobody knows.

It being Unethical to what degree is debatable.

Exactly, what if he has some sort of personal spin within the design and thats why he didnt want it.  I really dont understand how you dont see this as an issue.  What if he was still planning on releasing it but hasnt yet.  Plenty of people have done that.  Its not yours to release period.

Re: Are risk takers in gambling better risk takers in life?

I think naturally yes that essemtially people who gamble on things like slots, cards, sports etc are inherently more open to taking risks in life.  You need a certain stomach to handle those times it doesnt work and losing at gambling helps build that up so you are more willing to take that risk.

People have all sorts of hobbies.  I dont think doing just 1 thing in life is healthy but i would go and say "you arent normal".  Diversification even in what you do everyday is a key to a healthy lifestyle.  I think you can run into a lot of problems both with personal relationships and financially if you are too relient on one thing to include gambling.  Thats where addiction comes in.

Re: NBA 2024-2025 betting

The Bulls have been a surprise lately going 8-2 in their last 10 games, and the last time they faced the Lakers they dominated with a 146-115 win on the Lakers' home court.

So I’m not sure if the Lakers are in a good spot here, considering it’s a back-to-back game, on the road against a team that already dominated them. But whatever happens, all I can say is good luck but I’m staying away from this one.

Yes, I'd agree that you do have valid points, the bet was more about how desperate I think the Lakers need this win, because odd as it may sound, this should be one of the easiest games they have left of the season, so it's gotta count for something. Or let's just say I'm going go with Doncic and Lebron over common sense or logic here  Grin

All valid but i comsider this pre playoff time.  Knowing seedings are getting drawn lebron gonna turn it up.  And luka is finally getting the lay of the land with the lakers.  I take a one game sample lightly.  Anyone can win any game in this league.  I just think bron gonna turn it up.

I hire people where i work amd when i do i dont look at what school or what grades i look at all the other things.  For me getting a degree shows me interest amd enough drive to finish or accomplish something.  Its all the other work related things i use as a basis of how they apply that.  And secomd did they move up, that shows a willingness to do whats needed by that employer to move up in rank.  So its not one or the other its a combo of both.  Dont focus on grades though its overrated.

Its an emtertainment expense.  In no way should you ever consider gambling an investment.  For me i like to gamble just like i lime to see live sports.  I pay a lot to see those sports and in ruturn i get entertained.  Likewise with gambling i lay down money in exchange i like to be entertained.  No different.

Im not an expert nor am i trying to say if i believe it will or will not work.  But you need time to play out to see if its working or not.  Immediately there might be some instant adverse effects.  If it persists month over month then yeah might be an issue.  Crazy how many things changed so quickly.  In the end i dont think it will work as this administration intended.

It all depemds on what your goals are and what ypu start with.  If ypu have a million dollars and want to get your stack up to 2 million i dont think you need 7 to 10 years.  But if you start with a thousand dollars and want to grow it to a million you might need longer.  Long term is good but you need to outline your goals to see how long you think you should hold your position for.

I do amd if ypu dont you certainly should.  You make irrationally bad decisions when you are on a losing streak.  But you make the same dumb mistakes when you are on a winning streak too.   How many times have ypu won a ton amd made a dumb bet because "the outcome didnt matter".  Big win streak or big losing streak walk away for a bit amd re establish a baseline.

Small odds games are pointless.  You risk (albeit small) a lot of money compared to what you can win.  I never understood why people do this.  Its been tried over and over again with the same results.  In the end one bad beat and ypu are cooked.  Its also no fun because you have all the stress amd dont even get to really enjoy a win because its basically nothing.

Brutal night with a laker 1 point win lol.  Right on the hook.  Tonigjt is a new night though!

1) have to ride the lakers.  -3.5 against the bulls.  Should be an easier game than the pacers
2) im gonna regret this but the heat -1.5 against the hawks.  Hawks stink but so does miami.  Gimme the home team in basically a pickem
3) magic -6.5 over the dallas mavs.  Orlando has a snaeky good squad and think they take down the mavs at home..

Good luck everyone!

I really do like Lakers pick, I don't know if both Doncic and Lebron James would be playing in a back to back game yet, because I remember either of them sitting out in the 2nd game of back to back earlier this month, but given what's at stake maybe they'll be both play, that said, the line is currently -4.5 for the Lakers, and that's just fine with me.

I really don't not like any bet that involves Miami Heat, aside from being awful lately, most of their matches are an eyesore, almost zero entertainment, even when I lose some money on a team I should at least be entertained by how they play right ? never the heat, lol.

To be honest i hate my bets tonight which likely means they win lol.  I never like betting back to backs especially on the road and the favorites but lebron is on a rampage to win a championship for his legacy amd to male sure bronny gets a chip.  He wants this and games like this bron is going to take over.  Seedings matter amd with 10 or so games left he wants to win these all.  We'll see hope they win just by more than 1 tonigjt lol.

I still stand on the fact that all past cycles have not peaked until after 500 days post halving.  Thats sep/oct timeframe so i think we have a ways to go.  Not that every cycle is exactly the same but they do resemble each other.  I would bet on a run over the summer.  Not sure how big but i dont think this cycle is done, no.

Re: 2025 NBA Season
by

Anyone here can relate to betting before the game starts and have worries about some questionable players to play?
The best example is for tomorrow's match, like Boston vs Phoenix, where J. Tatum is questionable to play. And Nuggets vs Bucks, like a Giannis and Jokić, are also questionable. Any advice?

When important people are questionable to suit up I never place a bet on the team. I mean you can just wait until some minutes before the game when the final roster available gets published, there are many fantasy sports sites that bring updates super quick actually. Also on Twitter teams often make a post about the starting 5 minutes before the game starts. That's the safest route. I had my fair share of bad surprises when suddenly some main guy didn't suit up and my bet was doomed before the game even started.  Cry

True, hard lessons for me in the past as well, I already put a bet and on the last minute, player A didn't suit up so obviously, my bet lost. So I just wait for the last minute to put my bet or even do some live betting as well so see how the game is.

Twitter is also one social media that everyone update in the last minute, not the player but the team itself. So could be someone that has inside information on which player are going to play and which one is going to sit. And personally, I do not think that Jayson Tatum is going to play against Phoenix.

Yeah its tough.  Usually i wait until right before the game to drop the bet so i know who is playing and who isnt.  The odds usually shift but id rather know than not.  If a team is on a second game of a back to back you can expect if those players do play they will play significantly lower than normal.  So possibly even worse   it is difficult when lining up ypur bets early.

Usually though, the shift might not be as big. Just like what has been mentioned, Boston vs Suns, even though that Tatum is questionable and most likely not to play, they are still a huge favorite in this game. So this could be a trap as the game is going to be at Suns homecourt and then without Tatum, they have a good chance to win with Durant and Booker leading them.

Tatum is averaging like 27 ppg, so that is a huge lost already for the Celtics unless someone can cover that offense for them. But let's see at the last minute, Celtics doesn't need to force Tatum to play as they are already sealed for that second spot in the East.

If tatum doesnt play its not like the celtics lose 27 points.  Obviously brown, kristaps, white etc will all get more touches.  They have enough firepower to cover down on losing tatum.  Celtics are the team to beat in the league i dont care of the records.  They are deep and playoffs is an entirely different animal than regular season.  I think this is the ramp up to playoffs right now.  Not sure which way this goes but with pr without tatum celts are fine

Re: Bitcoin critics weren't wrong
by
wheelz1200
on 26/03/2025, 22:45:21 UTC
Ever since bitcoin's early days most people didn't show appreciation. While acknowledgment of bitcoin has increased and demand has risen a lot, it's not necessary that those criticizing bitcoin were wrong.

What has bitcoin achieved recently? Getting in more exchanges, getting in ETFs and wider access to traditional markets? Sure. Mining becoming an industry? Ok, let's count that too. Does that mean bitcoin is being appreciated for its values of decentralization and immutability? Probably not.

While all this is happening bitcoin fees reached historic lows, which is a sign that there's very little demand to actually transact bitcoin. BTC/USD is near ATH levels and yet we're still here, many people want to trade BTC than ever but almost no one wants to transact with it. We spent so much time talking about lightning and layer two solutions while on-chain transactions can now even be send with a cost of close to nothing and decently fast confirmation.

People know that if we all started transacting in bitcoin tomorrow fees would go crazy though. The lightning network is far from usable and even for it acceptance is even lower than bitcoin.

But people still don't want to use bitcoin for everyday transactions. El Salvador wanted to pivot to bitcoin to save money on predatory remittance fees and boost its ailing economy that was based on two currencies, a national one and the USD. Still people don't bother to adopt the technology and El Salvador still nearly went bankrupt and had to scrap nearly all bitcoin related plans to receive a small IMF loan.

Bitcoin remains hard to use, mining continues to be environmentally damaging to a very large extent while it also becomes more centralized and scalability remains an issue. This price boom changes nothing in terms of fundamentals. Bitcoin's price went up mostly due to external factors but that doesn't solve the issues related to adoption.

Maybe though in the end, adoption doesn't matter? What are your thoughts?

I think its simple nobody really grew up with bitcoin so its still too new.  Something like this takes a couple generations to fully engrain.  Ypu habe older people still too skeptical and would never touch it because they dont understand it.  But when you grow up and its normal then those people will grown up and make business around that technology.  Its still early, thats all.

Just forget about all that and go all in crypto! Ah just kidding but seriously yeah you have to think about the entirety of that investment.  Short term or less than 12 months is huge tax on gains so i typically dont plan to short term trade.  So whatever i go in i have to have a good outlook on it over 12 months.

Bucks and suns game is a tough one to bet.  I actually took the over on giannis points.  I know with dame going down he is going to have to take over the team here and go extra hard.  My guess is he goes for ~35 points tonight.  Suns dont have that good of a defense now throw in a motivated giannis and he should roll.  Suns still could win it.  They have the 10th spot right now with 10 games to go

Bucks and Suns is indeed a tough game to predict, although I'd lean more towards Phoenix Suns here simply because they need more and there have been some sense of urgency from them over their last games which were all a win.

The Bucks are still figuring out who would take up Lillard's roles as the second scoring option behind Giannis, and they seem to have any with some level of consistency.

Ah when a major player goes down its always a shake out period.  Odds makers dont exactly get it right so i usually go after player props on those.  Got 2 games though i have in on:

1) Lakers -1.5 and luka over points.  Pacers play run and gun and nobody gonna guard luka.  1st half points over amd game points over.

...and my giannis bet just got voided, he is now declared out.  Odds went feom suns -2.5 to -10.5. Think i will go in on them now.  Thats crazy jist got the notice rigjt now.
