Ah, I see. That makes enough sense - I'm interested to see how far this will go as a way for people to burn through time while they're waiting for something!
So, be the one to make the final click and you get 0.1 BTC? That sounds interesting - how will you get people to start the clicking off though, maybe by offering milestone rewards?
Each Tapper (or user, if you prefer) has his own counter. If someone spends enough time tapping, that someone will actually reach zero quite fast.
It's simpler than you think. As a first version, we primarily want to see if people are interested in "getting" BTC like this. If so, then naturally, more updates will follow that will allow our users to have certain bonuses.
Of course, the best thing would be to download WheeTap on May 1st - this way, everyone starts the same.
Hey wheetaps, how would the app function? would it be like a paste your bitcoin address, then start tapping down from 100K taps? Would it be automated? thanks!
A very good question, thank you for asking!
Adding a (BTC) Wallet address will be enabled after some short time through an update since we want people to start tapping immediately, without pausing for anything. It has a certain procedure in case you reach zero first (starting at 399.999, not 100.000), so it's not automated in that way (this is to prevent cheating of any sort).
Of course, it depends on how many people will be tapping for us to release new versions and give out more BTC - it's not fun if the competition is small. That's why we try to encourage people to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter as often as possible.
So your giving btc for free? What's your benefit? And any chance of seeing the cash as I spent over half a year clicking on bitcoin tapper and got zilch.
First version's free. Later we will charge the application 1$ so that we give out more than .10 BTC and to more people.
As to seeing the cash - be the first one! Share our video, subscribe and like us on Facebook.
Whee're planning a fun campaign. And we think that you will bring it to zero much sooner than you think

Very nice, thanks for sharing. Definitely gonna share this to a friend, he's NUTS about open source. (plus, it's about Bitcoin, and he got into that when it was worth about 10)

Basically, WheeTap is made for everyone, so we're not aiming for any specific groups of people, but we see your point.
On our website, www.wheetap.com, there's a newsletter at the bottom of the page to which you can subscribe and receive all news regarding WheeTap.

Hi, WheeLabs here!
Were releasing an Android application called WheeTap in two weeks.
What does this have to do with Bitcoin? Well, its an application where you tap. You just tap away, and if you bring the counter down to zero, you just might win a Bitcoin. The only condition is to be the first one!
First version will be free and the winner takes 0.10 BTC.
