No because your bitcoin are not being used for something else (like investement or being lended to other people as with banks) in fact it should be the opposite lol since they are providing a service by storing your coins, and don't forget don't leave much of your coins on exchanges or else you risk to get goxed

no other choice for you than buying unless you have top $ to invest in the newest asic miners, you can mine altcoins tho

if you are gpu mining (which I guess the question is about) yes you can mine and game if the intensity of your mining is pretty low and you have a beafy gpu(s)

Unless you have a good budget, mining bitcoin is not an option as the difficulty is pretty high, and for a profitable mining you would need a stat of the art asic miner that cost a lot of cash.

To acquire the necessary experience, and to understand the different aspect of cryptocurrency I suggest you to read the different guides and informations on the website and do some applications on altcoins

Buy btc while it cheap, mine some altcoins with your pc and then exchange them to btc, if you have any skills use the services section and do some work
