Question. Why would LightBit be preferable in every day use cases compared to a feeless currency, like NANO. How will you follow through with your whitepaper?

It was very big of you to report the criticism of your chain to BitcoinTalk. Are you for real? Are you so thin-skinned you can't take honest opinion? Let me remind you of what you wrote.

Quote
This person has issues. He accuses projects of being a scam for no reason at all. Our project has been up and running since 1 year now and yet he still calls it a scam. Our community hates him and he is cursing on our socials, even in private messages. Please stay away and stay safe from such people. Thanks. Smiley

I have never, and will never send you a PM on BitcoinTalk. This is just false. Do you know how I know this is not possible? I'm a Newbie. Newbies can't send PMs to you, because you've blocked them in your settings. And "cursing" you on your socials? Really? It's my right to criticize you all I want. You don't have to see it, or read it, but it's my right. And that right will be upheld by the fine folks at BitcoinTalk and any other social. Also, I don't think your project is a scam. It's very unlikely an optimistic person like yourself would want to scam people, and I respect your optimism. It's always a great thing to have. But too much optimism is a bad thing.

Keep in mind, you severely embellished this report. And "cursing"? I think the absolute worst thing I've said is "shit", and that's allowed on BitcoinTalk. I'm not actively harassing you like you claim. I'm criticizing you, and I will honestly continue to do it until you do something to turn this coin into something better.

It pains me to see such authoritarian-like reflexes from a "project leader". Really? Your first instinct is to try to get me banned and decrease my trust score? This is CCP levels of suppression, and I'll just keep commenting here if you keep doing petty stuff like that. Free speech is literally fueled by crypto, and I can't sit idle while you defame it. Disgusting.

I think at this point, everyone knows that you're just a critic. But I just wanted to tell others that I said PMs on social media, not bitcointalk.

I do not have to reply to a 14 year old kid who is just criticizing for no reason at all. I won't be engaging with you messages from this point. Thanks. Smiley

So my reasoning is automatically false? Because I make a point against you and you won't respond? Yeah I'm a critic. But I'm not a troll or shill. Criticizing is a good thing, you need to respond to it professionally and give input on criticism.

But according to you this is all coming from my 5th grade debate club. Wow.

And FYI I will be expecting for you to correspond on swap, and to sufficiently swap my coins.

How will swap be implemented? I want to know if I can migrate my coins. Is it 1:1 swap ratio? Or 2:1. Personally I suggest 2:1 to lessen supply, you can pass that on to Liquid if you want.

2:1, for example if I had 5000 LITB and wanted to swap, I'd now have 2500 on the new network.

wondering if this project is living up to their mission -

https://i.postimg.cc/br9VsQ5C/Screen-Shot-2020-06-09-at-7-56-23-AM.png

because they mentioned, they can't update their roadmap because they have busy lives for the moment because of this pandemic. or is it just a scape goat?

are there any shops or any merchant that is using lightbit as part of their payment method? or the use case up until now is only in trading? are there any projects benefiting from their crowdfund services?

Hey there, thanks for asking. We are actually working on the new roadmap and a Whitepaper, because of the pandemic. We finally have some time being stuck at home.  Smiley

And as of now, no shop is accepting LITB, we are not even a year old and LITB is a community project. Main use of LITB is transferring funds with lightning fast transactions. We do not offer any crowdfund services, it was just an idea of what it can be used for. Thanks! Smiley

Honestly you could say that LightBit is primarily used to donate to the LightBit devs and I personally don't even believe you could pull that off.

🗲 LightBit GUI Miner Release 🗲

BTC Team was busy the last few days but we are always working in the background. Really appreciate the support of our community!

BTC We are so happy to finally announce the beta release of our GUI miner!

Link - https://github.com/LightBitProject/LightBit_GUI_Miner/archive/master.zip

Note - This is a graphical presentation, we will keep updating the miner over time to make it look and work even better!

https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/609720526566588426/647314169150046230/Miner.png?width=786&height=452

Yeah but you didn't design it did you? Another guy did it for free for you. And the miner supports multi coin, not just LightBit oriented.

Fyi, if you did your research, you would know that it is actually made for LITB only.

Also, LITB is listed on 5 exchanges atm.

Also, LITB was released way before "sugarchain" you are referring to.

Now, I know you will keep spamming our thread for no reason just coz you are a kid who is bored... But please, we are trying to do something here, we are all working really hard to make this a success so please mind your own business and let us work on what we are doing.

ALSO - You claim that LITB will be disappeared in 1 year? TIME WILL TELL YOU. We are here for life!  Wink

About the GUI miner I was perhaps confused with the multiminer that has you listed. But that's not my main point. I can guarantee that you (yes YOU) are not doing any dev work whatsoever on the miner. You claim to have a great project, but how the hell can you insure that if you're not doing the development work? You're not even paying the cool people who are too nice to ask for payment on the project. PAY YOUR DEVS! Then you might get some good work out of a project you aren't even developing. You're just the hype man who wants to add another shitcoin to our overflowing markets.

About the exchanges. Where. Are. They. Definitely not on your [ANN], which is basically just a shitty generic png. And I've already proved they're not on CoinGecko. This can mean 2 things:

1) The exchanges you're on are so shitty, they can't even get a CoinGecko listing to add you (essentially meaning they have 0 volume)
2) The exchanges you're on are so shitty, they won't even update their coinlist for you
3) The exchanges you're on are so shitty, they know you have 0 volume on their exchanges and won't even add you

Ex4ange is an example of this. Not even on CoinGecko. Free listing. By all accounts, a shit exchange.

Mind my own business? You posted this on an [ANN] thread! This is exactly my business! And everyone elses! I was on your Discord a couple weeks ago, so your "we are all really working hard" is just BS. I bet Liquid is. I bet any other developer you're screwing over is. But you, YOU the so-called Natasha Otomoski are not working hard. The hard work in a cryptocurrency is developing, which is at the stage you're at anyways. If you're doing something other than developing right now you are doing this wrong. Development first, marketing later.

Now about sugarchain. Yes, I'm going to respond to every single one of your points.

Your codebase is virtually identical with sugarchain's, except for some stuff in block.cpp that your dev scrapped because it was unnecessary. So maybe sugar wasn't first, but you forked some yespower currency (there are like 7 now?).

Not to mention somebody's complete incompetence with git. I don't know who is running your GitHub account, but why would you upload TAR and ZIP files directly to a repo? That's for the releases. Plus, nine out of your TWELVE commits are just related to archive files.

Not to mention you can't even use .gitignore to remove the *.save files that are in your src/ directory and elsewhere.

You're just preying off of people new to crypto and it makes me sick.

It's a generic roadmap that every shitcoin has. There graphics are all stock images as well.

Great experience so far, I am a total noob and this has been a friendly experience, thanks!

If you're a noob, you should definitely not be starting with this chain. It's a mess, and frankly won't be alive in a year. Here are some coins I'd suggest that definitely aren't scams.

Bitcoin - It started the entire cryptocurrency arms race
Ethereum - An incredible smart contract blockchain, easy to learn, and it's fun to deploy contracts. Second to Bitcoin on CoinMarketCap
Tron - It's mooning right now (also SC platform)!
Grin - Privacy coin, raised millions of dollars
DASH - Masternodes! Get paid to help host the network.

Check any one of these out and you'll be far more rewarded than this blockchain with no devs.

Been mining past few day's with my ryzen 3900x. Using cpuminer.opt and doing 1,7kh.

Thanks for you interest in LightBit! Mine as much as you can, LITB is going PoS soon!  Grin

how soon ?

It is planned to go PoS on its first birthday, i.e.: 10 August. But, it could be sooner.  Wink

If you don't have a specific launch day in mind, you shouldn't even ANNOUNCE the change.

oh.
well bloating the blockchain with meaningless data is not really a good thing to do
no one is going to happily advertise how to a newbie. otherwise everyone would be doing it

I mean it's just a fork I'm learning with for fun. So is there documentation for this then?

Oh ok thanks. I want to try to clarify though because I might've come across as misunderstood. My end goal is to put info on the blockchain that might not necessarily be a TX. I've looked for documentation on how to do this but everything seems pretty empty.

Hey everyone! I'm taking a look at Bitcoin core and am looking for where the TX is effectively "generated" and send out to an address. I've found the
Code:
nSubsidy
block reward, but I'm currently looking for where the transaction is sent out and recorded on the blockchain. If I don't understand something right, please correct me, otherwise, if you have an answer please tell me!

Thanks, Whoffie
