WOOF COIN

Since the beginning of the pandemic, pet surrendering rates have increased dramatically around the world. Waitlists for surrendering household pets have increased to a remarkable eight months as animal shelters and welfare organisations have seen an increase of 34% for animals needing help.

Typically, animal shelters are under resourced and under financed; relying heavily on donations and the volunteer efforts to assist animals.

This is where Woof Coin steps in. As avid lovers of dogs, we wanted to make a difference. Using the power of Proof of Work mining, we’ve created a coin where miners are contributing to the donation of money to animal welfare shelters. These shelters initially include the ASPCA who already have a cryptocurrency donation mechanism but with intention to expand to the RSPCA and other organizations suggested by the community.

Our aim is to put animals first and we intend on developing ongoing relationships with pet shelters to help adoption.

Re: Online Shopping

I like to buy things easily...but I'm hesitant because of the possibility that items you purchase have issues on Durability and Value for Money.. What can you say about Online Shopping?

I don't mind online shopping but I'm pretty particular with what I shop for.
I would never do online shopping for my groceries or clothes.
I buy books, art, electronics and furniture.
I also like to shop for gifts online too.
I've found some great deals for quality items but I've also said, "You get what you've paid for" when it comes to cheapy purchases, so that's on me.
And I do not always trust the online reviews. I've been around long enough to know that many vendors pay for 5 star reviews.
I guess if you're looking to do some online shopping and you're not sure about making the purchase, reach out to your family, friends, and trusted online community for their opinion.

Re: What do you think about immortality?

What do you think about immortality? Will people find immortality in the future?
Is it possible to transfer a digital copy of the brain to a computer environment?

I personally would not choose immortality. I like the idea of having a finite amount of time and making the most of it.
This also comes from the mindset that it's kind of rare for anyone in my family tree to reach the age of 60.
The idea of AI is intriguing and kind of scary to me. Can a bot truly feel love and empathy?
As far as transferring a digital copy of the brain...  Well, maybe that will be possible in the future. Synapse are like lightning strikes. I like to think it's that energy and not the gray matter which carries our memories. But if I was going to "live forever" I would like to think it would be through stories and wisdom that I may have passed down to my children.  Great questions!

Re: How and when did you start in cryptocurrencies?

I got into crypto kind of by accident.
I saw something in Facebook about free Stellar and thought, meh, it can't hurt!
So I was in the first distribution and pretty much forgot about them.
Then I saw a friend joined Steemit and I love writing so I ventured over there and started blogging.
Once I found a way to convert crypto into fiat, I was hooked. I went digging for my Stellar and started working my way through the learning curve of how to use crypto exchanges. I've been hooked ever since. I'm no crypto millionaire...but I want to be!  Grin
Goals.

Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched

Hands down, the worst movie I've ever seen was Battlefield Earth.
It was so bad that I couldn't peel my eyes away and it felt like my brain was melting.
When it was finally over it took awhile to recover from my semi-catatonic state. I shiver just thinking about it. Cheesy

Hmm.  I just read https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0
According to activity calculations, activity is increased by staying logged in or by posting and is updated every 30 minutes.
There is a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.
UGH. It would take about 1.5 months to build an account to JR. Member.
Like most things, building up one's reputation and following takes time, effort, and a bit of care.

And why are you posting that here? I wouldnt suppose it would be to increase the number you were just talking about.... thats not allowed, low quality posts

And I suppose you consider your response "quality"? Have you helped me learn more about this platform in any way?
I am trying to move the conversation along and learn at the same time. The information in the link I shared is basically a reiteration because the post itself is TL;DR. So, if stating maximum activity points to gain quality readership, which could lead to merit points is considered low quality then yes, I'm guilty of that. Have a nice day.

Re: When Will Bitcoin Be Back To $20,000 ?
by

When do you think Bitcoin will go back to the $20,000 mark and what factors do you think could contribute to making it happen sooner rather than later?

I'm hoping BTC hits the $20K before the holidays but right now it's having a hard time getting back to the $10K mark!
Factors...  Honestly, like marijuana, it's going to be a hard journey for crypto in general, until big government finds a way to make money off of it and poison the ideals behind crypto in the first place. Since there's only a finite amount of BTC and it's gaining in popularity in the mainstream markets, I think FOMO will definitely kick in and drive the value up.
