Re: Beginning programmer looking for some help with API's

I know C++ but I realize its not ideal for this.  I am planning to write the program in Java or Python.  You don't need to teach my languages, I understand the syntax and concepts, just maybe show me which libraries to use and how to send requests.

Beginning programmer looking for some help with API's
by
winnate
on 12/12/2014, 17:50:33 UTC
I am fairly new to programming.  I understand alot of the ideas and concepts behind programming, it makes sense to me, but I haven't been taught how to connect and interact with API's yet.  I want to make a bitcoin dice bot for PD3 and would really appreciate a walk through on how to connect to the API and make my first bet, I dont need my hand help through the ENTIRE process, just connecting and wrapping my head around how the interaction works.

I'm really broke but if you need to be paid, I guess we can work something out.  I've been trying to do this for months and would really appreciate a human teacher.

Domains For Sale: Bloggingbitcoin.com, bitfaucets.net, bitfaucets.com
by

I'm officially broke and am scraping bottom!  My girlfriend moved out, left me with all the bills, rent, and i'm going to uni and have $0!  For sale are all the bitcoin related domains I own, purchased through godaddy.

If I had a convincing bid I'm more than happy to sell outright, otherwise the highest bid for each at the end of the week (Friday the 17th) gets it.

Don't be afraid to bid high so I can pay rent and live and maybe even eat if i'm lucky!

CHARITY IS ALWAYS WELCOME!

Can someone give me an estimate to build a bitcoin faucet/gaming directory?
by
winnate
on 07/08/2014, 20:54:38 UTC
I'm looking for someone to construct me a directory site for referrals.  I'm looking for a modern, minimal look with only about 3-4 static pages.  I was thinking just one home page that would have the featured links, a few from each category, then a page for each individual category.  I was thinking of having a page for faucets, one for gaming, and another for other services such as cloud mining and exchanges.

I'm lazy and would like to get it live, anyone who wants to build it will get a percentage of all profits, to be discussed.

Naw actually I got fired from best buy for causing damage to a car (I was an autotech,  I guess the jokes about best buy autotechs sucking are true).  About 3 months ago, when best buy closed their music department, this here gem had a hell of a time selling.  It was on clearance for a while so I threw an offer out there and it was accepted, but I didn't have the money at the time.  I kinda got over it but, one month later, it was still there.  I lowballed really hard, my manager said ok yeah whatever just buy it right now.  So I did.  I've been playing with it for a while but I got it really cheap and don't really ever plan on doing anything with it besides it being a glorified MP3 player.

But yeah I agree the lock is suspicious.  If I remember correctly the key was lost while they were disassembling the music department and turning it into clearance and more.  I don't have a receipt on hand but If you want me to get a reprint of the receipt I could most definately do so  Tongue

Thanks For The Great Year!

While I was taking off my referral accounts from my signature I noticed that today i'm one year old!

I'm a little blown away by it!  I've been a part of bitcoin since 2012, buying my first BTC in January of 2012.  I've had accounts in the three figures, I've bet over 50BTC at once, and I've probably lost a mind boggling amount of money at todays exchange rate because of it.  I pissed them all away as soon as I got them, having none left over when the price took off.  I bought one or two after that,  I rode the peak and held the few coins I had, and recently had to sell due to unemployement.  As of two weeks ago I had a quarter of a BTC, and today i'm at a little over half.  I've never hit it big, i've had so many chances but I never realized them.  I want to congratulate everyone who was with me at the time who decided to keep them, you deserve it.  None of us had any real idea that this would take off so far, but look at it now!

I don't know if Bitcoin will survive the long haul, but guys, this is one of the most life changing pursuit of knowledge i've ever partook in.  I've learned about the fundamentals of a society, finances, how value is applied, and so many other countless lessons.  Its been a complete and utter obsession, Bitcoin news and sites are my morning newspaper.

Even though I haven't posted often, thank you all for being such a big part of my life the last year!  TO THE MOON!

I've fallen on hard times.  Due to fucking up at my job, I lost my job.

This was a floor model at Best Buy.  Everything works mint, no broken or sticky buttons, no cracks on screen, no dents.  Some scratches.  Ya' know, it happens.

Anyway, shits pretty cool, but i've found that I have no idea what sounds good. I wouldn't mind parting with it.

Escrow, blah, blah, so on so forth. Secure payments.  Not here to screw anyone.

Anyway, I don't know what I want for it.  Give me an offer, feel free to vastly overpay.

Oh, it has a box but I can't find the damn manual.  Doesn't come with a damn manual.  Everything else is there though, USB, powercord.  Actually, that's about it.  Comes with it though.

So yeah, if ya want you can buy my shit.  You'll probably be glad you did, this thing is neat.  If you find you can't mix music, fuck it, you got yourself one big ass MP3 player your friends can gawk at.

So yeah, lemme know.

Some damage to the lock mechanism thing.  Doesn't affect anything but heres a picture.

I was using the URL as the link to my profile for a few weeks, I emailed it to myself and would access it that way.

I had .25 BTC invested with Ice-dice.

Today when I clicked my link to ice-dice, it created a new account for me using my old URL, giving me a new name,
and a balance of 0 BTC, invested or pla

Sent email to them ten minutes ago regarding the subject, got antsy, came here to complain, and got an email back regarding the issue before I could even type it all out.

I feel like there will always be a way to uncover TOR users, resulting a cat and mice chase to cover yourself up, but a high speed option would be great non the less.
