The issue is lack of updates. So its hard to decide if we should continue supporting the venture or not.

Because of the price rise of XLM and BTC, refunding in USD values seems like such a poor return for the people who believed in you. Why not give them further reason to believe in you?

Or else, keep your promise and let all GFT tokens be redeemable for $1 as was claimed on your website.

GFT buy-back program

Our goal is to build a financial instrument fully trusted by people and companies. We appreciate credit of trust our community supporters gave us by purchasing GFT tokens during the presale phase, and we want to reassure you that we follow our liabilities. Lately, one of our early adopters sent us an email with the presale refund request. Following the principles of free exchangeability and circulation, we are establishing GFT buy-back program. Since today we will be regularly setting orders on the Stellar decentralized exchange, so anyone will be able to exchange GFT tokens back for XLM at the presale price.

Thanks for your support. Keep following us to receive the latest GFT Network news.

Can you please clarify the exchange rate for the refund? GFT tokens can be exchanged for the same amount of XLMs sent? Because I don't see those rates on the decentralized exchange.

You need to find a hook to get restaurants to promote GFT themselves to all their patrons. (Which may mean a referral program for restaurants which helps them get diners to come back.)

You need to go with direct sales to corporates (everyone eats lunch). But this can only work if the walking distance area has more than 1-2 participating restaurants.

You need to list on various coupon websites, at least initially. groupon and retailmenot etc.

Really, there have been a lot of startups that have failed in the gift certificate business who have had awesome tech - because their marketing didn't match their tech strengths.

You should not aim for a global launch. A GFT voucher user doesn't care if there are 500 restaurants on board in the whole world. He only cares if the best 20 restaurants in his area are on board.

If you're smart, you'll take the facebook approach. Launch in a smaller region, make it really popular there - so much so that everyone in that region has heard about it - then scale to other regions.

Seems like no information on the people behind GFT has definitely hurt the pre-sale. Otherwise, the tech and the idea seem sound.

What are your plans for aggressive marketing and promotions? How many restaurants will be on board during launch? How many can you add per day after that?

Any further updates? Or dividend payments?

I still have funds stuck in cryptomex and would love to get them back.

Thanks.

I had withdrawals as well as balance pending on cryptomex and I have not yet received them in the monthly distributions.

What should be done?

If you had a withdrawal pending on cryptomex, it will be added to your account for distribution on the new blockchain-based distribution which 297 is currently executing monthly from here:

Can we please get a count of:

Total number of shares in Icedrill? And total payment made till date?
This will let us know if the amount of BTC we received is accurate or not...

Because some of our funds were still stuck in cryptomex - its hard to tally the numbers.

I'll be clear: In my opinion this project has evolved from business/technical to predominantly legal/technical, for now. If you have anything to contribute on either of those fronts, please do?

A lot of us have added to the "technical" part of the conversation and you have consistently ignored the suggestions. Please don't push cryptomex on us as a technical solution to receive payments and do the trades. Do it manually (like asicminer does) as you already have everyones signed bitcoin addresses. Or via a pass through on an already established platform like havelock.

You are trying to do a lot of things together and things are getting delayed. On top of this - how will you ever build liquidity on a new trading platform that no one prefers? Keep things simple. Keep IceDrill and cryptomex distinct and separate. Your technical as well as legal complications should thus reduce.

Your thoughts as to why this is not a viable solution?

I ran a ASICMINER Pass Through before,
The system works but there are some flaws.

First of there is a lot of manual work, which in turn leads to a lot of errors. I had several times where Transfers that should have been done wasn't done or shares who were suppose to be sent one place were sent somewhere else.
Second a lot of people (several have contacted us being worried about this) are not in control of their payout address, meaning we would have to build a site/routine to safely and securely allow people to switch their payout addresses.

It is just a lot of work and we would rather if we can try to reuse the work put into CMX by the CryptoMex team and use their platform to hold PUs and pay out people, if possible.

As regards to the question about money spent on CMX. No IceDrill money was used to fund CMX, it was funded by the CMX team and external investors.

In a choice between:

i. convenience for the company to make payments
vs
ii. convenience and peace of mind for investors to not to fill out a fairly invasive kyc form

I hope you guys decide to side with the investors even if it means a bit of discomfort for you.

To us - it seems like cryptomex is being forced down our throats only because icedrill and cryptomex promoters are the same. If cryptomex is good, it will grow on its own. But please don't tie the fates of icedrill investors with cryptomex.

Please look to do what is most convenient and in the best interest of your investors.

Please give us better options. Either direct payments like ASICMiner does. Or a pass through on Havelock.

Thank you Will and team for trying to do your best.

1. Why not simply follow what ASICMiner does and pay directly?

2. And have a pass through listed on havelock? Let them take on the legal burden. You just need to do the KYC process for them and have them as a single share holder. And allow every one who don't want to use cryptomex to transfer shares to havelock.

I hope these questions are straight forward enough that you will reply.

(Because no one is happy with cryptomex's KYC process.)

If we deduce the trade-ins from the original amount we land at roughly 174 Thash in total hashing power.

//DeaDTerra

Can you also let us know how many shares were transferred in - or actually - what are the total number of shares in circulation right now? How much of 174 Thash does 1 share signify?

Thanks Ukyo.

1. How do you withdraw the available funds?

2. Can you please explain why 94% of the funds are unavailable? I read your past posts here and have no clear answer to it. Will these funds ever be available?

Thanks Ukyo.

I've sent a PM to you a couple of days back - haven't received a response yet...

If you still have BTC stuck on BitFunder then PM me and I will help you get it migrated into the claim portal.
