It seems that only stats are affected, mining still goes without switching to backup pools.

Is there an issue with the Payout Queue? When I go to check it, it is empty.

Pool is in Fail-Safe mode following orphan block 327,848
All mined BTCs go to cold storage

We need our customers opinions on a small upcoming change.

First of all, the global stats page will be split into many pages so that it's not all loading as one.
Once this is implemented, the loading times will obviously be much faster.

Assuming we speed things up with this method, will the global stats page be the first thing that most users want to see when they log in?  Or would they rather see their own profile by default?

There will be a toggle to switch between them according to your own preference, but knowing which one should be set as default would be helpful.

For me i would like it to be my profile by default . I log in to see my stats , its most important to me.

Right so rather confused

I had a payout from Eligus on 2014-03-19 00:54:36 - I can see my BTC Address in the list but nothing has appeared in my account.

Is this due to the blockchain issue yesterday ?

Thanks

Also a 5 Hour block... Whats going on folks  Huh

Payouts from Eligius are like direct mining.  They coins are "immature" until they get 120 confirmations.  You should see it in your wallet.

As for 5 hour block.. it all evens out in the end.  The 4 prior were quite short, including one in just shy of 2 minutes (expected is about an hour).

M

It seems that last 5 blocks aren't updated in stats as it should but balance & hashrate are updated.
Last block in stats is 291283

I hope WK will look at it and fix it as always

W

EDIT: As I wrote this post stats are updated

This pool is great, but I feel like the Terra Hash and its minig pool competitors out weigh by a lot.

Also, "name coin" is pretty useless. If it were LTC, that would be a different story.
I wonder how hard it would be to add / change that.

It's impossible,
BTC & NMC use 'sha256' hash and LTC uses 'scrypt' hash

...

Would it be possible to adjust vardiff for different workers individually ?

Difficulty when using Stratum is per connection not per worker. Bitminter will choose a difficulty for the connection that is suitable for the fastest worker using the connection. That can be a little heavy for workers that are considerably slower.

Setting up two Stratum connections, for instance with Stratum proxy, should work. I'm not sure why you are experiencing problems with that. If you want the difficulty on the old proxy that you had already to drop then you may have to restart it.

Thank for explanation, it works as expected,
when I've stopped ASIC miner, difficulty dropped down for all proxies/workers
and after restart of faster ASIC miner, difficulty rised up again for all proxies/workers

It's clear now.

Hi Doc,

I've defined two different workers for my mining devices, one for faster ASIC miner and one for slower miner
But vardiff rises up difficulty equally for both my workers.
Would it be possible to adjust vardiff for different workers individually ?

Thx

EDIT: I've found that using stratum proxy causes this behavior, so I've setup two different proxies but w/o success.

I have also noticed the var diff settings   I also start at 3 and then it adjusts.  I use CGminer and use the balance option under pool management, I split my shares between 2 slush pool workers nad it keeps my diff down at 1.... I know that's cheating but only running at 4.5 gh with a higher diff variance kills me! esp short rounds when its running at diff 3 or 4, I may only get a few shares in a round..

One question regarding split to more workers:
Is it possible to split workers and lower difficulty if I'm using stratum proxy on one IP address?
Link bandwidth isn't problem for me.

EDIT: mining with cgminer on Linux - running multiple processes = workers isn't problem

Yes it is quite simple to run more workers. You simply run a process for every worker with one config file for every worker / process.

If have set rc file accordongly allowing automated transfer of miners on certain triggers and events.

I've tried to create new worker and split mining processes but difficulty is adjusted at stratum proxy.
So if two workers go outside thru one stratum proxy difficulty goes up.

Conclusion: I need to use more proxies for more workers to keep lower diff
