Hello,

I have not been in the crypto world for some time so I am wondering if anyone here can accelerate my learning curve a bit lol. I downloaded einsteinium wallet for mac and managed to install it. It says no block source available, is there some settings I can change to get it to start syncing? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with this issue.

Hello fellow Einsteiners,

Ryan has worked long and hard and I'm proud to announce to the world our first video covering EMC2.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cixWuh6AUcc&feature=youtu.be

This is the first in a long list of videos that we have cooking in the back ground. We look forward to your reviews, comments and creative criticism if there is any that is.

Dont forget to share it on your social media pages. Lets get the word out!

Love the video, the music is wicked. Thanks Ryan and Christine!

The video is all ryan. It is good to see it's finally up!

Nice job on the YouTube video!, Not sure if anyone pointed it out yet but there is a typo on the very end it says "find our more" Instead of "out". Just trying to help , and I will be sure to share the video as much as possible.

It does not match with the blockexplorer for such EMC2 address : http://cryptexplorer.com/address/EcXNXDEjesUuUF3eD3oVknA84fJuneg81y

What does not match?? All I'm saying is he is getting significantly larger payments on a consistent basis with half the mining power and pretty much the same exact setup except mobo, cpu and isp. Every payment he gets on the same pool as me is several hundred with 3MH, while mine is like 40-50 with 6MH.

I am offering a 20000 einsteinium bounty to the first person who can help me solve this problem.  I have the exact same rig setup as my friend minus our motherboards and internet service providers.  I am running two rigs and he is only running one. We are mining on the same p2pool as well. In a given day I am receiving about 3000 emc2 running with my two rigs while he is receiving about 20000.  Each of his payments are 300+ today while mine are only currently 40-45. Please let me know if you need any more info. I will be glad to provide it. Huh Huh Huh

20K emc2 a day..

something sounds fishy here.. even if you have 2 rigs with 5 cards each you wont get 20K emc2 a day.

I have 15 cards and don't get 20K emc2 a day.

you sure hes telling you the truth?

20K emc2 with 2 rigs is (dare I say) Impossible.

It may be possible but you need 15MH.. dammm that's 2 jam packed rigs if hes getting 7500KH a rig

He is getting that with only 1 rig 3MH, I have 2 rigs 6MH roughly and he is blowing me out of the water... yes I am positive he is not lying he is a close friend of mine, and we have both been working closely together on our mining efforts every day. Trust me I can't believe it either. Screenshots of his mining payments coming momentarily.

he could be using a different mining software, have higher overclocks, and maybe he is also cpu mining.
use this miner http://k-dev.net/cgminer/
and try to find a listing of your card here and mimic their settings to get the highest output you can.  https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison

another option people talk about is using http://guiminer.net/bamt
this is a dedicated mining OS
i've heard people getting better results using their software.

Everything is identical except for motherboard and isp as I previously stated. We are both running newest version of bamt, and only gpu mining. Our internet speeds are almost identical so I am leaning towards ruling out that possibility. Anyone other ideas?? He has a biostar h81 board with dual core processor while mine is asrock 990fx extreme9 with a single core if that makes any difference. Our cards, power supplies, etc. everything else identical.

Thanks for responding, I'm trying to get this 1.1 mac wallet updated asap. I have a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB ram, running latest mac os mavericks 10.9.2. I'm not sure what to do if I can't get my wallet upgraded in time for the fork. I have backed up my wallet keys at least so hopefully I will not lose my coin. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.

Don't worry, as long as you don't make transactions with the outdated wallet after the fork you won't lose coins. You could forget about EMC2 and update in a month and your coins would still be there.

Does this apply to mining transactions?

After downloading the mandatory wallet update 1.1 for mac, and trying to open it says quit unexpectedly every time I try to open the application. Is anyone else who uses a mac having a similar issue? I tried replacing the old wallet version, restarting my computer, and re-downloading the file to make sure it wasn't corrupted some how. Anyone have any ideas or is the updated application currently broken for mac. Huh

Sorry to hear that you have got the problem with mac wallet. Is your mac Core2Duo by any chance? What exactly OS release does it run?

Currently the wallet seems to be compiled using some instructions that are not compatible with Core 2 Duo. We'll be releasing a fix soon enough and no, the fix doesn't mean everyone must download their wallets again, it's only for mac users with old gen CPUs (pre i3).

Thanks for your quick reply. Will you post to let me, and others know when this is resolved please? I haven't had any problems with 1.0 or any other wallets really so I hope it is not a huge problem that needs fixing.
