Hello all, I wanted to give an update about my hardware store.

I started accepting Bitcoin payments in september 2021 and it has been a very nice journey learning about this wonderful invention. I recently invested in a ColdCard mk4 to keep my funds safe (using it fully airgapped). It really made me understand how Bitcoin works, I learnt that cryptography is literally what holds Bitcoin together, which I find awesome.

I've built up a pretty nice amount of Bitcoin over time and I have never spent any of it (except when purchasing my coldcard). I know for a fact that one day Bitcoin will be worth so much more, cryptography is the future.

It's pretty nice too because customers who know about and pay with Bitcoin at my store tend to come back when they need to purchase something and pay with Bitcoin.

So yeah, this was my little update, thanks for listening to my ramble , I'm out.

I recently purchased the Coldcard mk4 hardware wallet and I was already familliar with electrum so I made a wallet in electrum for it and transfered my funds to the first address in the addresses tabs, I was then able to transfer bitcoin out to buy some stuff, but my question is: if I, for example, send 1 bitcoin to the first address, 1 bitcoin to the 2nd address and 1 to the third, would my coldcard automatically sweep all the coins from the address into one transaction if I had to send 3 bitcoin to someone?

Hopefully someone can answer my question, let me know if anything is unclear.

I just bought a domain using some Bitcoin and I visited the transaction page on Blockchain.com and it said that this address (me) payed 40% more fees due to inefficiencies in older wallets.
So I've heard of segwit, but is that what they mean? Do they mean bech32 address?

Thank you for the information. I'm just curious, if I would be to do an experiment with, let's say, 10 ASIC usb stick miners, how much BTC would I make in one day on  a normal pool (not solo)?

I remember mining Bitcoin in 2018-2019 and making decent profit but nowadays its pretty hard to make good profit with a normal computer. I've been thinking about buying ASIC miners and trying to solo mine but I have no idea how to solo mine or if it's worth it to try. Are there any good guides on solo mining?

also if you guys could suggest me a good ASIC miner, I'd appreciate it

To be fully honest, accepting Bitcoin in my store is mostly an experiment. I didn't implemented BTC payments with the goal of profiting from it.

Oh you'd be surprised... I get the "1 cent" nonsense very often and it drives me crazy. People are ignorant.

Hello all. It has been a while since I made a topic regarding my hardware store which has started accepting Bitcoin as a payment in September of 2021. It has now been 6 months and the business is going very well, but sadly not a lot of people decide to pay using Bitcoin. I often get people saying things like: "Isn't Bitcoin a huge scam or something?" or "Couldn't Bitcoin just drop to 1 cent?"...

It's sad to see that people still have those stupid stereotypes about Bitcoin. This honesty sucks because it gives a negative reputation to Bitcoin and my business.

However, I have made sure to inform people who used BTC to make a purchase about the BitcoinTalk Forum and how it is a good place to learn and read on the topic of cryptocurrencies in general.

I recently invested a large amount of money in Bitcoin, and added Bitcoin as a payment method for my business. I read that online wallets are not the safest, but that hardware wallets are the safest since they are not connected to the internet.

My question is, what is the best hardware wallet for security and for holding large amounts of Bitcoin? I plan on using it as a vault for my company, I would send the BTC from sales every week and hold for as long as possible.

Yeah, I'm really happy to have implemented this now! Other stores and shops in my area only accept boring fiat. Who knows, I might be recognized later when Bitcoin will be accepted everywhere!

I would like to thank the people who replied to my topic where I asked a few questions regarding the implementation of Bitcoin. Putting that aside, I have successfully implemented "Lighting Network" Bitcoin payments in my hardware store. Already 4 different persons have used Bitcoin as a payment today. I have not only implemented Bitcoin payments in my store but I invested 10 000$ in BTC.

I am fascinated by Bitcoin and I will definitely stay active in this amazing forum.
