It really depends! For me, now it is really a good opportunity to accumulate some really good altcoins as the prices have almost touched the bottom. And the important thing here is how to find the really good ones among tens of thousands of altcions. Here you need to do your due diligence and background checking and see if one project is good to invest. In the crypto world, risks are everywhere, so it really depends on if one project is worth a try! So be smart and take this opportunity to buy some good altcoins, I am sure it the risk you take will definitely pay out in the future!

Holding your cryptos and do not sell them in a panic way! And if you may also take this opportunity to find some really better options and make some adjustment to your portfolio. And do not try day trading or short trading if you are not really good at it as it may drive you crazy in such a bearish market. For me, it will also transfer some of my assets into USDT and try to but some dip when it is relatively stabilized. And the other thing is you should be really picky when investing in some ICO projects as things are different this year, you can't expect to gain 5 or 10X return as it is used to be!

I would say it is highly possible in the long run, but it mainly depends on what you expect or if you still have faith in BTC. So in the long run, I do think BTC will rally up to around 10000 US dollars, but as how long will it take to reach this level, it is pretty much unpredictable as the price is under the influence of so many factors. And the other thing is the uncertain regulation policies with the Chinese ban on ICO as an example. So if you are seeing it in a long run, BTC price will definitely back to its increasing path again, but if you want to make some quick money, the current market may be pretty risky!

I think it maybe has something to with its great instability and the market is influenced by many factors which is not that easy to master the trends and determine when to buy and sell. And the other factor is security related, as you can see a lot of money has been stolen or lost as a result of the improper handling of the private keys. As cryptocurrency to a large extent is still relatively new to a large number of people, they may don't know how to keep their assets in a secure way! And the other thing is it is a 24-hour trading market with no limited to ups and downs, so people may end up losing all their money waking up in the morning!

In terms of crypto trading, you really do need to put your focus on the market every minute of your day! Short-term strategy isn't for me at least, it will not only consume a lot of time and energy, but also may drive you crazy and make some bad moves even when the market begin to turn down a little bit.

It really depends on if you just want to earn some quick money, or want to hold them for a relatively long period of time! If it is the latter, no problem for me as ripple is winning the recognition from some top financial institutions around the world. However, if you just want to make some quick money, I would suggest that you gives it another thought as no one knows where the market will move in such a bearish market!

Yes, as they hold a lot of ETH in hands which definitely make them whales who can really have strong influence over the market if they choose to cash out at some point! Let's just hope that they won't be a big sell for other ICO projects.

However, when bitcoin is going down, people start feeling unsure about the market in general and thus the price of ethereum goes down as well. And eth's price is also really affected by ico bans, because it is the basic platform for icos.
Yet I disagree with the op that eth is dead. It still has chances to recover, even though for now mining it is really unprofitable, taking into account the fact of eth fork that makes eth closer to not being mineable at all.

Yes, I am not saying that ETH is dead or something, just that it may not as that crazy as that in 2017 when almost all the ICO projects can give you a decent return rate! However, facing with strong regulations around the globe, the good projects may emerge which may drive ETH prices up again.
