Re: Why do you involved in Cryptocurrency
by

The need for a change was what led me to this. A friend who has benefited financially with this forum, he proposed this to me as a job offer and immediately I accept, I had nothing more to lose than a little of my time.

However, despite the fact that I have been in this ecosystem for short time, I have been attracted by the concept and essence of this and I hope that as I increase my knowledge, I want to risk and work on something more than just signature campaigns.

Re: Who is selling Bitcoin?
by
wolfracer
on 04/05/2018, 22:48:39 UTC
Everyone in here is desperate to convince each other the Bitcoin can only go up and therefore you have to buy and hold.

But when you buy Bitcoin, someone is selling it to you.

Why are people selling Bitcoin?

The knowledgeable people are the ones who are now slowly selling out before the bubble bursts. When you are now buying more and more Bitcoin ("investing" as people in here call it) who do you think you are buying them from?

You are buying from the knowledgeable people who are slowly getting rid of their Bitcoin.

There are countless reasons why people sell their bitcoins, you do not necessarily have to be a newbie to sell them, everyone in this forum at some point were newbie and took unreasonable decisions.

Various reasons push its sale: Economic emergencies, basic needs to be met, diversification of investments, tastes, luxuries, etc...

Otherwise, what function would bitcoin have if no utility is granted?

Re: Is Bitcoin a good investment?

When buying crypcurrency, Buffett said, "You do not invest when you do it. You are speculating. There is nothing wrong with that. If you want to bet others will come and pay more money in the near future, it's a kind of game. But that is not investment. " Are we participating in a game?

As long as you have knowledge of what you are doing, it's the best option of all. Also, Bitcoin is not a bet, It is an investment and how any investment allows us data and information (incomplete) to help us make decisions.
We speculate?! Yes, but we also do it with any decision in life, no decision is 100% safe or it has complete information.

Re: Is bitcoin digital gold?
by
wolfracer
on 03/05/2018, 21:43:34 UTC
The billionaire venture capitalist is doubling down on BTC, likening the digital coin to gold’s online equal.

Thiel touts the No. 1 cryptocurrency for its size and its ability to compete with gold as a safe haven, saying at the Economic Club of New York:

“I would be long bitcoin, and neutral to skeptical of just about everything else at this point with a few possible exceptions. There will be one online equivalent to gold, and the one you’d bet on would be the biggest,” said Thiel.

But with the exception of a few digital coins, Thiel remains neutral on the rest of the cryptocurrency pack. He didn’t dismiss the possibility that bitcoin could be surpassed by Ethereum or other altcoins that prey on the leading cryptocurrency’s weaknesses, but bitcoin’s strength is in its size.

Bitcoin controls more than 40% of cryptocurrency market cap compared to almost one-fifth for Ethereum, as per Coin Market Cap data cited in CNBC.

Bitcoin as gold.... Its comparison has very marked differences and is that unlike gold, the price of bitcoin is not constant, its volatility has made it unpredictable and despite being an investment that has long tended to grow, in the short term it has suffered multiple recessions, In addition, it is still a high risk investment because we do not know if it will pass the test of its value over time.

So it's not the best comparison...

Re: There is no doubt that bitcioin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency
by
wolfracer
on 03/05/2018, 21:19:44 UTC
I had previously doubted that Bitcoin would be replaced by another currency. But my mind has changed. Because I see there are many other cryptocurrencies that the developers are trying hard to solve the problems in cryptocurrencies.  What about bitcoin? We don't know who are the developers and no effort is being made to develop it.
If you don't try hard, your rivals will win. Bitcoin's rivals will win too.

When bitcoin will no longer considered the most profitable investment (Which is the real reason for its high demand) It could end up being replaced by another currency, but while this possibility continues to exist, bitcoin will remain the main cryptocurrency.

As recently government are banning bitcoin in some countries. Do you think can government distroy bitcoin?

The original idea of the bitcoin, its decentralization was what attracted millions of users to this ecosystem. The end of bitcoin is not in the hands of a minority group, but in the decision and confidence that each of its users give to it.

Both currencies are excellent investment options and high profitability, however I would lean towards the benefits I have received over time with bitcoin, I have believed in it and it has worked for me.
This does not imply discarding other currencies that complement the failures of this one.

Re: What makes Bitcoin valuable?
by
wolfracer
on 01/05/2018, 21:08:52 UTC
Everyone in the crypto space has had people tell them that Bitcoin is worthless or that it doesnt have any true value.

Of course, thats infuriating to hear, but for investors new to the space, its sometimes hard to craft a good answer.

So heres a little cheat sheet for any newbies out there who get this question or accusation:

1. Bitcoin is safe.  It cant be hacked because its decentralized.
2. Bitcoin eliminates layers of transaction fees.
3. Bitcoin is fast (especially after the lightning upgrade).
4. Bitcoin provides more privacy than normal transactions.
5. Bitcoin hedges against stupidity from central banks and governments.
6. Bitcoin cant be counterfeited.
7. Bitcoin isnt tied to other asset classes and is a hedge against other investments.

In short, Bitcoin solves massive problems with the financial and political world, and that is its value.

And because its the most tested and has first mover advantage, it has been established as a store of value, much like digital gold.

-
@charteroakpublic
- a Telegram channel with leaks from premium sources like Palm Beach Confidential

8. Its value is governed only by the interaction between supply and demand.
9. Despite its high volatility, its price has always followed an upward trend over time.

Re: bitcoin scarcity
by
wolfracer
on 22/04/2018, 23:56:09 UTC
we see bitcoin today experiencing high fluctuations below and will always drops, probably going back to the point of $ 4500. but if I look with bitcoin stock today which a little again $ 3.5 million , then this condition is not normal. because it should be when bitcoin is scarce, then price and value will quickly rise and higher. but today why down? do we have to wait 1 million bitcoins?

It is not only the scarcity of a good that determines its value, there are other factors such as its usefulness, however, this will vary and it will be granted depending on the preferences of each user or the situation in which they are, that is, the demand is the predisposing factor in the determination of its price, and due to the direct price-demand relationship, a fall in demand will mean a fall in its price level.

As we Know Today bitcoin Is Worth Of USD $9108
is to late for me to buying it ?
It is too late to invest on this BTC BTC?
any good reason why i should buy bitcoin now? or just watching?
thanks!

At this moment bitcoin is in a period of inactivity, see its price exceed the barrier of $9k by the end of this month has a low probability.
My recommendation for you is that you do not get carried away or make decisions just for the opinions of the masses. Read, learn and be you who draw your own conclusions, to thus avoid making biased decisions.

Re: Bitcoin as new hope for humanity
by
wolfracer
on 22/04/2018, 17:59:30 UTC
Bitcoin is not just a life saver but also a life changer. Before, I don't know anything about investment. I'm just a minimum wage earner and my salary is most of the time insufficient to my needs. My family is struggling financially. When Bitcoin was introduced to my life, everything changed. At first, I invested a very little portion of my salary to HYIP and gambling hoping that my life will change instantly as what those sites promised me but I was scammed multiple times. It was devastating so I decided to stop investing on Bitcoin. After a few months, I saw some posts on social media on how Bitcoin changed a person's life so I decided to give it another try but this time, I will make sure to invest in myself first and study more about cryptocurrency. I learned about this forum and from here, I learned more things about Bitcoin specially on trading and investments. Now, I cannot say that I'm completely financially free but I can say that I'm already earning more than enough for me and my family's needs.

Bitcoin gave me another hope about life. There are times when we are feeling wasted and wants to give up but before you give up, ask your self first if you already did your best. There are times that we will definiyely lose and people will ruin our dreams but that is not a reason to stop. Just like on my experience, I got scammed but after a few months, I gabe it another shot. If I gave up, I might still ne struggling financially.

Life will definitely throw you lemons. All we need to do is learn how to make it into lemonade. I'm very thankful to Bitcoin. To all investors out there, just invest on your self first and I assure you, you'll get profit from it!

This story has been the common denominator of many users of this forum and even those who wish to enter the world of cryptos. It has been my story and that of my friends those who were the ones who made me known about this new world and unintentionally they also gave me a new chance of life.

I have been in this ecosystem for less than six months and my ignorance and apathy have been my great obstacle, However, the great socio-economic crisis facing my country as well as the desire to continue studying and helping my family, they have motivated me to cope with this, but first I have to invest time in myself to learn and know more about this ecosystem and the various opportunities that it offers us.

Re: Bitcoin will be fine
by
wolfracer
on 22/04/2018, 03:49:34 UTC
There's allot of uncertainty around bitcoin at the moment but with all of this commotion I think it's important to put this all into perspective. At the time of writing this message we are at $8700. This is 8x what it was a year ago. Another thing to remember is many people never thought they would be lucky enough to see a bitcoin dip that would put bitcoin at these lower prices. I feel lucky enough to have come into the market early enough to buy bitcoin at these extremely cheap prices. I reckon we will look back again at these times and there will be another batch of people kicking themselves for not buying bitcoin.

It may sound very optimistic but this is the essence of bitcoin, speculation since there are really very few factors that allow us to accurately determine a possible increase or decrease in its price level. That is why despite the fact that many users have decided to retire due to the uncertainty caused by the fall of its price, I have decided to keep my bitcoins and increase them.

Re: Is bitcoin a better payment system?
by
wolfracer
on 21/04/2018, 20:37:11 UTC
The answer is that it often is not, at least for most people, most of the time. Eventually it will be the best payment system, but it needs to develop further, gain more adoption, and get over the scaling obstacles. Even so, Bitcoin is already the best payment system for certain use-cases, such as sending money across borders, or receiving money from someone you don't trust (which helps further in cross-border transactions).

Consider Bitcoin as the best payment method is still questioned because the disadvantages that this practice brings are greater than its advantages.
Only on specific occasions does bitcoin act in such a way, and between it, we find when the transactions are international since it facilitates the immediate ones of the same one.

Bitcoin increases almost every year. So what is your opinion on what will happen next?

Let us hope that the end of this year there will be a recovery in its price level, there are still people who believe and invest in bitcoin, there are still people buying bitcoins and taking advantage of this drop.

Re: Bitcoin is gold?
by

on 20/04/2018, 17:16:03 UTC
I watched a video telling that every paper currency in history all collapsed , and USD will collapse too, in future.

The time in which a currency collapses is when people don't believe in its value anymore. And obviously, when thought reversely, something becomes a currency when more and more people believe in its value.
And currency becomes money when they don't lose value between people regardless of time, like gold.

Do you believe btc could be in this position? BTC could become gold?

Bitcoin has not yet passed the test of its value in time, therefore its comparison with gold is questioned. However, Bitcoin has nowadays reached a value well above the price of gold and it has become a much more profitable investment than this.

I consider that the constant possibility of increasing your money, it´s the main attraction of bitcoin.

Re: Why not compare Bitcoin with money?
by
wolfracer
on 19/04/2018, 23:21:12 UTC
Objectively, the money is just a sheet of paper, why? The paper is recognized by the state government to ensure that, so what is the guarantee? that is gold. Which country more and more gold, wealth assets are terrible, that currency is priced compared to other currencies. To understand more about currency you can see the book "War Money" nhé!

Bitcoin is generally accepted by the community and is priced against USD or gold so it's worth it.

In short, every value is converted into gold. But gold has some major disadvantages so new alternatives are available such as money and now Bitcoin.

The clear differences between fiat money and bitcoin is the reason why maybe some do not refer to it as money, as for example and the most marked of all, is the intangibility of bitcoin.

The transactions made by bitcoin are only technological, which impede its absolute mobility. Also, its value is always in constant growth, which gives indications of considering it more as an investment good than as money.

I don’t know how much more. My $1350 investment is worth $526.78 as of this moment. My coins were BTH, LTC, and ETH.

At least, it was not too bad for you. In my case, I had a reward of $ 4000 and by not investing in any other profitable currency decreased to $ 800 in less than two months.
So, my recommendation for you is to evaluate the profitability of your currency in the future and you don't despair about the current recession that is facing.
Remember that, the waiting and information are the keys to getting a good reward.
