The new features in this release are:

• Added lock core clock
• The problem with the missing GPU temperatures on Nvidia GPUs is fixed
• Added native kernels for AMD RX6700 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
• Increase the max supported DAG epoch to 550 (should be enough to about Jan 2023)
• Full support for setting clocks, fan speeds, voltages, and memory timings of AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards
• The specific hashrate is now shown in the form of kilo hashes per joule (kH/J). Example: if a GPU has hashrate of 30 MH/s with 100W power usage, the specific hashrate is 300 kH/J
• Added new command-line parameters -ttj and -ttmem, allowing automatic fan speed control based on GPU hotspot (junction), and memory temperatures respectively. Example: -ttmem 83 will keep the GPU memory temperature at or bellow 83C by increasing the fan speed as necessary. These parameters can be combined with -tt, as well as with each other. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
• Added new command-line parameters -tmaxj and -tmaxmem, allowing to decrease the GPU usage when the GPU hotspot (junction), or GPU memory temperatures are above the specified thresholds. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
• Added support for AMD Windows drivers 21.3.2, and 21.3.1
• Added support for AMD Linux drivers 20.50.x. Use this drivers only if you have Polaris or older GPUs, or the latest RX6x000 GPUs. WARNING: Vega, Radeon VII, and Navi GPUs won't work with these drivers!
• Turn off the zero fan feature on AMD cards whenever a fixed fan speed is used (e.g. -tt -40), or when an auto fan with min fan speed is used (e.g. -tt 63 -minfan 35). To disable this feature, add -fanstop 1 command-line parameter
• When -mcdag 1 is specified under Linux, the miner will not wait for the daggen.sh script to finish before starting to generate the DAGs. Instead it will for a fixed 7 seconds. This allows you to do all the following in the daggen.sh: turn off the overclocking of Nvidia GPUs, sleep for 30-60 seconds to allow time for DAG generation, and then re-apply the overclocking of the Nvidia GPUs
• Other small improvements and fixes

The support for -ttj, -ttmem, -tmaxj, and -tmaxmem for Nvidia 3090 and 3080 GPUs is not yet ready for release. We hope to have it ready for the final 5.7 release.

Its hard to say. People love the FOMO and yes it can do wonders for BTC but lets not forget the FOMO was strong all the way up to $20k and then we know what happened from there. It can turn at any minute and I believe that can be the cause of harsher drops. Last Bull run saw a lot of money come in, a lot of newbies and people selling things like houses to get in on it. They were then burnt severely, these are people that will either not buy back in or they will ensure they don't get burnt again. That means a correction at a high point could have snow ball effect. People will want to ensure they secure their profits this time.

Agree, nost sure where this 'market is getting many new people' has come from as from all the articles i have read have mentioned the opposite. Further backed up by how much market cap was lost in 2018 to prove it.

lol all BS, STOX as investment is the biggest POS. Its drop has nothing to do with the market, sure it can come into play but 8c from $1.10 ICO is a laugh, probably a record loss from an ICO entry point. It was my single most disappointing investment. It has been touted as a good entry price all the way down to where it is now.

You definitely wont get early investors back into this project and it will be hard to breakout when people look at the chart (hopefully smart enough to research) and see that epic tumble.

I'm a big fan of verge but there are a few problems with everything.
1. The Partnership isn't bad for crypto and exposure for Verge. The issue is how profitable will it be? everyone keeps saying its genius due to the amount of traffic, but how much of that traffic looks for anything other than porn, ads are annoying to them. Also who pays for porn these days? a very small amount and then out of that small amount who needs to keep it private. One of the marketing phrases was 'now you don't have to hide your porn usage from mum'. I mean cmon.

2. The partnership may have pigeon holed them from potentially bigger things. Other companies have boards and shareholders and they are most likely not wanting to partner with someone asociated with the porn industry. could be putting all your eggs in the one basket.

3. Before the announcment, over the weekend they transfered the coins received in donation from the community to an online wallet on Binance. Now that was a major red flag they were looking to sell some before the announcment, sure enough 15mins before the announcement and the mother of all dumps happen. That is a slap in the face of the community, remmember that was the 'communities' coins they did that with.

4. They had a hard fork after the hacking last week and refused to aknowledge it. That caused all types of issues with mining pools and a lot of coins were lost from miners that were mid way through.

5. Having an announcment for an announcment is inside trading. They knew that would push the price up before the day (buy the rumours sell the news) for Point 4 to occur.

All that has really left a sour taste in my mouth, its shady practice and its throwing a lot in the face of the Verge community yet people in the community dont seem to care....

Number 2 is the major issue here. Whether its a minor issue or not, an attack of any sort doesnt look good and would be a concern for any partner.

Any coin that is on the 'verge' of success will have its tech tested by hackers, we see it all the time. No one can mine it, its been hacked and possibly a major issue for a potential partner. I am suprised the market hasnt reacted, possible slow to react so i have sold andwait to see what happens. ...

And not long after writing it the price drops. I am very careful and I study the charts and do my homework. I have been a big supporter of Verge for ages and that's why it is important to ive hints where we can why things go up and down. it shouldn't take 5 days after an announcement about an announcement coming for it to shootup.

The news will be good for Verge but leading up to it we will see swings up and down for whales to fatten their stacks for that announcement.

This is the problem, people will guess between now and the 16th April and the price will react to those guesses. The price shot up yesterday on the back of the Amazon Rumour. There was no reason at all for the price rise yesterday which means it will be followed by a dip.

Verge rose on the back of the 'crowdfunding' last week, then dropped after they announced there would be an announcement yet it then shoots up yesterday with no news. That aint right and you know that will be followed by a drop.

Yup, I cant see BTC going lower then its prefork price of under 6K and that's where it seemed to have bounced yesterday. Then again it has done a few bounces this year where it has look like a recovery is on the cards and then down it goes again.

With so much good news and predictions around Verge it is crazy if people aren't buying as much as they can anywhere between 4-7c! if the predictions are correct then even buying at 10c+ again will reap the rewards. The community, the project teams dedication and the amount of analysts talking about verge means for a big year. Stock up while you can!

This thread should be removed so it cant be found in a search when it has absolutely no substance to the rumours and infact has been shown to be very active project. It is no more a scam then those that call any altcoin other then Bitcoin as a scam. Ether was a scam, Ripple was a scam bla blah blah.

The best news for TRX is with the China crackdown they are allowing coins that they have a certain amount of control over. It has already been stated that NEO and TRX will be allowed, so guess who benefits when the market is locked into only a couple of options instead of 1500+....

Correct! it pretty much kills that theory and hope. China wants to control and allow coins they can control. They will allow coins such as NEO and TRX. If coins like that are their only option then you can imagine what it will do to the price of those. Other coins will miss out on the chinese market but will recover along with bitcoin, so money is to be made no matter what the coin. They just need to have their own offerings to push them higher once the recovery evens out.

I have been mining for 5 days now on 3 computers running an i5 or higher and haven't found one block so don't get your hopes up. Thinking of giving up soon, tried it for fun but as you can imagine the power consumption vs mining is not great when you are getting nothing. Don't know how its even possible to mine HTML

Agree and its a major issue that people don't take into account. People can call it a correction, FUD or whatever but clearly the bubble popped no matter the reason. This issue with it though is the amount of new investors that have been burnt that wont return and since Bitcoin is more visible in mainstream news the damage will be widespread. We need all those investors to increase prices across the board.

That is the difference between past 'crashes/corrections/News drops/FUDS' and now.

What the? how is now too expensive, it is at the bottom a long with all coins due to the Bitcoin slump. Now is the time to buy all coins that you want!
