Ok, I'm excited!!! Finally after several months of waiting I received my Jupiter tonight. It's up and running steady. The thing is a beast running around 550GH/s. Just saw it shoot up to 590GH/s a min ago. Thanks KNC!

It looks like multipool.in is down. Has anyone else noticed this? I just checked on http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and it looks like a wide spread problem.
i compiled a short list of what would happen if:
miners would be delivered end of Setember and the difficulty will continue to rise 25% every 11 days (re-target time)

Obviously I hope that the difficulty will not maintain the current growth rate, wishful thinking probably.

My bet is that this does not stay linear. Nothing ever does. The only way that this would continue to grow at the same rate is if more powerful mining machines continue to be released. I don't see that happening in that short amount of time, therefore I expect the diff to plateau a bit. Probably rendering the more common GH/s units, either the 5GH/s or the 50GH/s units, into the profit realm of 5 to 10 dollars per day just like what is the case with the HD7970 GPUs today. There will definitely be a saturation point where people choose not to run their units because they don't make a profit.
Im sorry if this has been said before, I did use the search function on this thread to try to find my answer on shipping and import tax. Just because I am a bit confused, rebelrat said that VAT doesnt exist for the US, another had said there was no import tax, but a solid number on the cost for shipping a KNC miner to the US is not established. Is there any assumptions or speculation as to what the final cost would be to ship a Jupiter or Saturn from Stockholm to the US? Thier site states that all shipping costs will be passed onto those who purchase.

Does anyone know if KNC is charging us the importation costs associated with importing to the US, or will we have to fill out some form and send it to the docks so that our purchases will not be held up in transit?

The screen flipping on and off is normal when windows first sees the other gpus. If it continues to lose the signal, then its probably the psu.
Run the AMD uninstall utility, then try the 12.11 beta drivers. They have run every gpu mix I've thrown at them.

Ok, wanted to update everyone with an email I received from Sam about the confusion with the pre-order number versus the order number. Looks like my place in line is, just like was being said before in this forum, based on the pre-order number. Mine is 1700+ for a 1-500 Jupiter, but I guess there hasn't been a lot of paying customers so my order should still be within the first few days of shipping.
This will be good news for anyone who has a pre-order number above 1700 or didn't pre-register for the 1-500.

Even if you have the cash, debt is a very convenient way to mitigate risk. I've watched many investors in the last couple years successfully mitigate risk with debt in the bottom of the real-estate market and they are now cash rich millionaires.
As with any investment, you have to weigh the risk.
$7000 dollars is a very small scale in comparison, but say you had 1 mil in the bank. Would you risk the million or borrow from a bank with only 25% down payment? Your skin in the game is now 250k. Much more palatable than going all in.

Somebody quote me, I've the feeling they will say... First paid, first shipped. This thing is too messy, there are people with preorder ID 2700 who could order a 1-500.

Have you heard of anyone not being in the 1-500? Pretty much everybody could see that on the Web regardless of their order number, right? Or I'm mistaken?
As an experiment, I created a new account with a different email. The products page does not allow the new account to order a 1-500 unit. So only people that pre-registered back in April can make orders for the first batch.
It could be that I'm blowing this out of proportion, but IMO this is a big deal especially for a company charging $7000+ for their products.
if you could pick the 1-500 item then you are in the first 500. your order number doesnt mean a whole lot unless you are not in the 1-500 and hoping to get into the 1-500
There is more to it than that. Everything about my order says that it is one of the 1-500 Jupiter units, but the pre-order number does not reflect my order within the first 500.
It certainly is messy and I think having pre-orders like #17xx is confusing people, and I can't see how a 1-500 could have one that high.

The product that I think I'm paying for may later turn out to be not the product I paid for.
I agree.. but they would of had to actually hire a real web dev crew to hash up some code to maintain two order flows. Nothing too hard; the 1-500 would retain their original place until 7 day toss out and all the others would of started at 501.

they had two queues. the pre-reg and the current placed orders.
you get a 1-500 by your place in the first queue
the second queue started as soon as they took orders. anyone can place orders. after 7 days, they will sort out the 1-500 customers that placed orders.. if there are any 1-500 customers that didn't use their orders, some of the regular orders will go into the 1-500
This still doesn't make sense. From my knowledge only people who signed up during the pre-reg can put in an order for a 1-500 Jupiter, but they allowed more than 1700 people pre-reg. So I guess this means that since I am number 1700+, there is a "chance" that I will not receive the 1-500 Jupiter and the only way to find out if my order of a 1-500 unit is really a 1-500 unit is to pay and wait on them to sort this out.
I guess there is no way to tell then if I will be in getting a 1-500 Jupiter.

I guess the preorder ID is worth nothing. The order numbers of the time they opened the payments are clearly different.
Well the issue goes both ways, trinsic has an order number +1000 for a 1-500 unit. Would that put you in a back-up status until +501 units go unpaid?
