Re: [ANN] ExchangeMyCoins.com - Easy, fast and anonymous exchanges of crypto coins
by
wpd
on 11/07/2017, 00:48:58 UTC
I've send my Bitcoins that I've earned using my Faucet Rotator but it says
 "The exchange is too small
We have received your coins but the amount is too small to exchange. The miner fees required to transfer the exchanged coins to your wallet exceeds the amount you have sent us, which makes it impossible to exchange the coins."

How can I get my Bitcoins back?

How can I in the future trade safely my Bitcoins?

     Regards
           ZenJB

Hi ZenJB

To protect our users from making small and expensive exchanges we have created a system that prevents making very small exchanges. The miner fees for a Bitcoin transaction is usually between 0.0001 and 0.0002 bitcoins. If a user tries to exchange i.e. dogecoins into bitcoins and send us a very small amount of dogecoins it will become a very expensive exchange, because the miner fees will eat up most of the exchange amount. If a user sends us a small amount of dogecoins the system prevents the exchange from being processed to protect the user. The user is notified by email, as well as on the site, and is instructed to send us their dogecoin wallet address so we can refund the full amount of coins. This is done free of charge and we will pay all transaction fees.

In your situation, I will kindly ask you to send the deposit address as well as your Bitcoin wallet address to our support at support@exchangemycoins.com and we will refund your Bitcoins to you, free of charge.

Best regards
Jacob Worsøe

What amount in bitcoin constitutes too little? It would be nice if the lower limit were on your website.

Re: DASH pumped, anyone made some money?
by

on 24/02/2017, 21:52:15 UTC
I have no idea why this coin pumped, specially while BTC is going to the moon too. Looks like DASH was the winner pick after all. Must have been cool for the people that bought before the pump, but who would have know when to buy? it could have keep stagnating.

It's overhyped marketing.  Plenty of manipulation.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@thedashguy/warning-why-i-don-t-trust-the-price-of-dash-nor-the-community-be-careful-folks-invest-wisely-diversify

Yeah I was going to share this too. How come a coin goes on pumping while others are being dumped because of BTC rally.

Is Dash so good that it can surpass BTC ?

Come on do your own thinking about it, for me it is clear manipulation

Dash is a pump and dump coin that is cleverly manipulated by the >50% supply owned by the company.

Re: Becoming rich owning all altcoins in 5 years?
by

on 23/02/2017, 04:41:56 UTC
Answering the question i would say probably not. Lets say you buy top 100, average price lets say 0,5usd. 100*1000*0,5 you need 50.000 usd.

If we look at the past for every 100 alt only one made it, and lets say you find 2, which will go 50 times up, the other will probably dissapear. So 2*1000*25 makes 50.000 usd. Even if you find 2 alts to go 50 times up, you will get your money back !

So isnt it better to invest at BTC or choose more carefully altcoins ?

I agree. Altcoins are too risky to try them all. I would stick to the top ten altcoin, probably only the top 5 or 6 among those.

Re: Bitcoin vs Monero

Monero is more anonymous than bitcoin, which is only pseudo-anonymous, that is a fact. But do you seriously need more anonymous coin?
It won't be ever pushed to the level of acceptance bitcoin received, not when we are still obliged to follow legal rules and subjugate ourselves to AML/KYC law.
But if you want to use Monero as Dark Market token, yes, it is better than BTC for that purpose.

We may need to now; Denmark is trying to track down bitcoin transactions. https://thenextweb.com/eu/2017/02/21/danish-police-hunt-down-criminals-using-bitcoin/#.tnw_ACSpOZNN

I am sure that bitcoin will rise in the near future but I don't think it will rise that high ..
That amount is insane and I doubt bitcoin will ever be that worth

I think politics and the need for decentralized currency will largely determine if bitcoin will remain stable or skyrocket. I also think smartphone availability in less developed countries will help the value of bitcoin.

Also subscribed you channel Smiley

Not OP, but I personally use https://api.bitcoinaverage.com/ticker/USD/last as my bitcoin reference. It's pretty reliable and well-updated.

Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon?
by
wpd
on 15/02/2017, 04:00:36 UTC
I honestly don't think it'll happen, certainly not in 15 years... In 100 years maybe?

I don't think the problem is technology- we already are extremely close to being able to replace the dollar in that matter, due to smartphones. The problem lies with government control of money, and the legal guarantee and security (stability-wise) that it brings. If smartphone technology becomes cheaper, I think we may see countries with unstable dollar value using it more.

Re: Is there a chance Satoshi is dead? Car accident, heart failure, ect

Well the worst part is that we can't know and I doubt that we ever will. If he was truly dead, I believe that he would leave in his last will maybe to reveal his identity. Those AI stories ain't that crazy too, who knows... maybe the government created bitcoin as they did TOR project. We can just speculate until one day, possibly, someone who's the real creator(s) of bitcoin comes forward.

I’m not sure that a government would have created bitcoin. What would the purpose be? If anything, it would hurt a government, since bitcoin is an alternate currency to the government-issued currency. Unless it was meant to track drug trade, but I’m not sure if is possible, since much of the bitcoin code is open-source.

Re: How do I educate myself on bitcoin for investing?
by
wpd
on 15/02/2017, 02:21:32 UTC
perhaps by seeking in-depth information about bitcoin, and trading. besides, the activities directly required to do, because most accurate information, can be obtained from the experience. Well, besides that, you can also find information about bitcoin, and altcoin in this forum, that you need is perseverance.

I agree, experience is the key. I started learning about bitcoin simply by making small purchases and transactions. Small transactions won’t give you much profit, but it’s a great way to get familiar with bitcoin, and figure out some of the finer details involved in the market, and how to trade.

Re: Is bribing via bitcoin a good idea?
by
wpd
on 15/02/2017, 02:00:09 UTC
I’m not going to talk about the ethics and risks of bribery, like most of the replies that you are getting, but I don’t think that bitcoin is the ideal medium for bribery. Bitcoin is not a very common currency. You talk to the average person about it, and they’ll probably tell you that they don’t understand bitcoin. Of course, if you give anyone $1000 in bitcoin, they will still have the motivation to cash it in, but they’ll also have trouble doing so. If you are trying to bribe someone with a usb stick holding bitcoin, it is too slow for them to verify the amount of bitcoin on the usb. Bribery should be quick and discreet.

Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto an A.I.?

31000 line of code is not a big task for any programmers because I am just a moderate level programmer and writing 1000 to 2000( or may be more then that ) line of code is daily time table so I think writing 31000 line for a revolutionary technology is not behind our imagination. its possible to do that may he had some assistance or if he was alone then also writing 31000 line would hardly 1 month and for logics and algorithms and testing I will give him 1 year to write those and I think its enough

I don't think he's saying that 31,000 lines is too much for a human; he's saying that it's not too much for a computer. With that aside, I don't think that there are AI's capable of writing that kind of complex code, especially when bitcoin was created in 2008. Do you know if there are code-writing AI's yet? Because I feel that logic itself is too complex for an AI to create even a fizzbuzz program, or something else simple.

Re: Easiest way to convert money into BTC?
by
wpd
on 14/02/2017, 14:44:52 UTC
Actually people from third world country don't have opportunity to buy bitcoin easily from any of the bitcoin trading platform like coinbase. Coinbase still don't support many developing countries also in localbitcoins usually deals for this countries are really expensive to buy from using local bank transfer.

However in european countries and china anyone can buy bitcoin or sell it quickly for profit or just buy and hold for long term with peace in mind. This have created a sense of "bitcoin is actually only made for developed countries, Tier-1 countries".  Angry

Have you tried other online methods? I've used Reddit to buy bitcoins directly at 90% price, which is better than anything that I can find for Paypal on localbitcoin or coinbase. You can also buy an Amazon giftcard from a third party source with bitcoin and sell that for bitcoin.

You can't earn free bitcoin. You can receive them for signature campaigns in exchange for regular, quality posts. You could trade them for altcoins, and sell them at their highs. You could provide digital services and request to be paid in bitcoin.

A dedicated Bitcoin bank is hilarious. I have 3 dedicated Bitcoin banks sitting in my living room called wallets.

A more appropriate term would be dedicated Bitcoin exchange.

Yeah, the only difference is that the "bank" is for many people.
