Re: 10 ASICminer Blade setup with backplane is rebooting every hour.

A guy on IRC Slush's pool said his was resetting every 2 minutes after he placed all 10 on the back plain.  After some testing, they were stable with 7 blades.  At which point he shared his PSU.  I didnt write down the name of what PSU he had but another member recommended this PSU to him:

http://www.amazon.com/HP-403781-001-DL380-1000W-Supply/dp/B001U0EM1W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1385616853&sr=8-2&keywords=ATSN+7001044-Y000

Thats about as much info as I can give you since i dont own the blades.

Good day Luke-Jr,

My Internet goes in and out every so often.  Is there a way for the miner to go into standby mode, then continue mining when Internet connection re-establishes, rather than crash?  Thanks in advance for any info provided.

Edit: I noticed the miner went into wait mode when the internet went out for a short period.  I wonder what's be causing it to crash lately, then.

I use Armory offline wallet.  Do I have to worry about losing BTC through the new change address?  I've only deposited.  I havent withdrawn any coins yet.

Re: Building Armory on Raspberry Pi

IP_of_PI is the ip number of your Raspberry Pi, I use the command ifconfig to find it.

IP_of_PI is the Internet Protocol address of your Pi. like 192.168.0.11

Thanks for responding, bektar & whiskers75.

So, the raspberry pi would be connected to the ubuntu computer, in a closed network?  I'd disconnect the ubuntu computer from the internet and connect to the raspberry pi so that the raspberry pi never touches the actual network?

## Copy libraries from Pi
Quote
   scp -r pi@[IP_OF_PI_GOES_HERE]:/usr/include/python2.7 ~/src/Crosstool/RaspberryPi/include
   scp -r pi@[IP_OF_PI_GOES_HERE]:/usr/lib/libpython2.7.so ~/src/Crosstool/RaspberryPi/lib

I'm stuck on this one.  Can an example of IP_of_PI be given?  Thanks for any help provided.

Hello
What happened to this project? is still alive? can I get dev-boards?, is some firmware already working with cgminer?

I just jumped into this and wanted to start playing with FPGA.
thanks

3rd attempt at mounting to reduce temps, ready for the new fans. This seems to be the approach most are taking, flat with a 1" gap underneath. This will be ventilated with the old 120mms once the new ones arrived.

As it has been said before, this approach is the worst, because the fans are just circulating the heat around the blade. The goal is to transfer the heat from around the blade.

The problem with turning the fans into a pull config is that there isn't a seal, or anything close to a seal on the fans. They'll just spam all their pressure sucking in the non heatsink air because its so much easier to move. At least with a push config it has to go into the heatsink.

These blades seem to be a pain in the butt.  I'll take one for the team.  I'm willing to adopt them and give them a home.

Got the first one up and running. Working on setting up PSU with all six. If the fan does not start automatically, switch which 3 pins it is plugged in to and it will start right up. Here are some more pics.

How is the hashing/temps/stability etc?

http://picload.cz/images/2013/05/06/lin.png - connected all to raspberry pi via usb hub

temps are fine, you should hold hand on it.) can't gauge it, but basically overheating is not a problem - maybe little noise from fans.

this is actual from cgminer:
(5s):1.975G (avg):1.529Gh/s | A:3803  R:9  HW:11  U:13.2/m  WU:21.3/m (4 units)

Thanks for posting =)
