Appreciate the brutal critique - you don't have to use the entire shaft - the tip will do. It actually does help fund folder's electricity bills and equipment maintenance so more science can get done.

There's a new folding pool in beta, and updated blockchain on the 2022 horizon. A lot of plans change due to unforeseen circumstances; the proposed VBK integration complicated original trajectory(ies) but the token, as is, still works for its original intended purpose.

We’ve had feedback from would-be participants, that our Knowledge Base tutorials, FAQs and detailed instructions are a bit intimidating (since we try to cover ALL caveats in one document - including merge-folding which is not included here).

Rather than rework our legacy articles which are still very useful, we’ve started a collection of fan-produced videos which make getting started with Folding@home and Curecoin simple, fun and entertaining. While these may not cover every possible scenario, or everything that might go wrong during setup – they will put you on the fast track to start earning CURE tokens with Folding@home.

Folding Pool Distributions are Caught Up (and Curecoin Website Updated)

Many folders have experienced delayed Curecoin distributions over the past couple of weeks. The problem with the folding pool has been identified, folder database rebuilt, and you should be seeing distributions arriving in your wallet again. We apologize for this delay in processing.

CygnusXI stated:

"Normal operation have resumed" and "I have been making a lot of backend updates going live with this patch. Enhanced stat tracking and history will be added to the folding pool [page], along with a much cleaner stats dashboard … main bug fix with the pool right now should be resolved … lots of work has gone into [the pool] this year, prepping for upcoming modernization efforts… and for those who chose the cloud folding option"

Projects are currently being run through quality control / beta testing at consortium labs and will be available to the general public soon - according to the scientists involved.

Even if you get an early start, just select "Any Disease" in the Folding@home client - you will be helping researchers with Cancer, Alzheimer's, Ebola and many unusual diseases on the network.
New, always fall under the "Any Disease" category and be prioritized by consortium needs until a more granular drop-down list of diseases is designed into future folding clients.
