Do you have the full ver. of the wallet installed? I had the same problem when I only had the first wallet (the alpha version).
Once I upgraded to the beta version, my balance updated as well.
Also, if you're talking about the freebie coins, OP processes those requests within 24 - 48 hours so it can take a day or two
before your coins arrive, but arrive they will

if anyone has recieved double the amount of coins, that address will be skipped for the next portion of the airdrop, bare with me here, trying to get everything working correctly lol

I had to stop sending out TALK for a short while, I was worried that the chain was just going to either explode or never move again. I will restart sending them in a few hours, they are about 1/3 sent now

I tried everything above and after deleting the blockchain this was displayed while redownloading. Notice it says "downloading 9347 of 16922 blocks".
Eventually this was displayed on a hanging client. Notice it says "downloaded 16922 blocks".
I then tried downloading the new v1.5.2 client from mega again. I got this error again.
