Thanks!!

Also, to other above posts... +1 for coinmine.pl/prt/  - it's my preferred pool.

I'm also working on an ABE block explorer... If someone else is considering setting one up... please do so! This will be my first attempt at configuring one (so no promises yet) but I hope to one have up this weekend... within the next 48 hours. If you have experience and want to help out, please PM me. I'm happy to provide the domain and server for hosting Smiley

You should remove HackShard from the Pool list in the OP. The pool is closed. Stratum is off and its only online for payouts:

ATTENTION: ★☆ PLEASE ENABLE AUTO PAYOUTS!!☆★ Server has been shutdown due to lack of usage of this coin. Please withdraw all currency by 1/20/2014 or you will surrender it to the pool.

I know people have been experiencing unauthorized logins and payout address changes across several pools since yesterday. A pool (pickaxe) from the dgb launch I believe has been pointed to as a possible source but I'm not sure whether there is any evidence to support the claims.  edit: confirmed, read the dgb announcement (first post), it mentions the pool. If you joined that pool be sure to change your password if it was reused on another pool!

I trust feeleep and the coinmine.pl entirely. Change any passwords that are used across multiple pools for safety. But coinmine is not a scam. I've been using a couple of coinmine's pools for awhile now and only have good things to say about them.

Edit: wanted to clarify.. The login attempts and recommendation to change reused passwords extends to all pools for all coins. Not just particle and/or coinmine. It would appear account information has been leaked to an extent so best to be on the safe side if you do reuse your logins and pins.

An alternate "coin" form logo for those possessing dissatisfied of our bold original:

http://i.imgur.com/tMoRGYE.png

I think the coin should look more digital and bold to greater emphasis the name particle.

Take this for example; http://vimeo.com/44083487

Using that sort of effect for the outside of the coin, someone with good photoshop skills could create a coin using particle-style effects that would look amazing.

The "P" Would also have this particle effect, perhaps in a different colour to stand out. If you can picture that, then that's how the coin would look awesome.

I actually like this idea a lot. I don't really see the need to make it look like a physical coin. Perhaps it does need to for the more mainstream audience. However I still think the particle effect would be cool if done right.

Coin looks promising. Premine is very reasonable and launch seems to have gone pretty smoothly. I think it has potential.

Sooooo........everyone is ignoring the fact that this coin will be fully mined by Feb?  No dev around to address this?  Welp, into the trash heap of shitcoins it goes.

seriously? ugh, I was just getting interested in this coin (yes, i know i'm late) since it's like quark. But all/so many of the coins being mined so early is what has turned me off to quark. It's a shame to see the same thing with this coin.

I like the idea and appreciate the honesty about it being for educational use. I really like the idea of more intregration... Great to see something beyond a straight clone. Good luck! I'll be keeping my eye out for updates.

Re: [ANN]PLEASE STOP DOING MORE COINS, THATS BAD TO ALT COINS

I agree that is very annoying to see multiple clones launch everyday while not even attempting to be unique outside of a new name, sometimes a logo and a few parameters tweaked. I do think this will result in a harsh correction from exchanges, ultimately reducing the number of coins traded and possibly making it difficult for the next innovation coin to get listed. However, the market will drive all of that, so beyond some annoyance and watching the pumping and dumping, things should work themselves out. Many of these new alts will drop to essentially no value and surely get pulled from exchanges before too long.

Many of the newer clone coins are already getting less attention on their launch days. It'd be nice as a community if we could work on getting more people involved and have a good experience with cryptocoins rather than setting them up to get screwed by these pump and dump coins that are catching many people's attention right now.

sounded interesting until closed source. I don't see that working at all.

What exactly would YOU do with the source code?

Diffs on it to ensure the changes are relevant and what is claimed. That no code is malicious (admittedly, perhaps not me personally but it's important for the option to exist in my opinion). I always compile on Linux...

Trust and faith in a coin is important and attempting to avoid pools is an interesting idea but keeping the source closed is also a red flag for me. Users typically look for transparency and that's much more difficult to achieve with a closed source.

I also agree, I don't see the harm in pools. Keeping this CPU only would be nice in an attempt to keep it fair. How many people on celerons will continue to mine this if they are easily discouraged that all blocks are going to the fewer users with much higher hash rates? I still think the idea of solo-only mining is interesting but I don't see how attempting to block pools truly makes this "fair". I'd be much more interested in a more thought out approach to this idea rather than just withholding the source which will make some people wonder if something is hidden there.

Some of us prefer to build from source and not just run random binaries hosted on mega Smiley

edit: Thank you for opening up source review for Hero members. I do believe this will help. My concerns aren't that *I* don't trust it but that others won't. If others won't and don't adopt the coin, it doesn't provide much value. Having a 3rd party verify integrity could certainly help address this.
