Re: Can you wait to prove them wrong about Bitcoin?
by
xAnima
on 23/07/2018, 14:35:36 UTC
I think a lot of people around us has told us that Bitcoin is a FAD or a SCAM or a Ponzi scheme.

Some of our closest relatives have told us to SELL before the BUBBLE will burst. {guess we hear that enough?}

The media is telling everyone that Bitcoin is the tool of criminals and terrorists and child pornographers and paedophiles.

Most of these people are not invested in Bitcoin, but it looks like they are looking for reasons to attack it.

How many of you want to prove them wrong? I sometimes look at these people and I think... WTF are you on about?

I seldom bring up the subject anymore, because everything coming out of their mouths are negative. The only time when they

are interested, is when the price hits a all time high. Then they want advice to invest in Bitcoin and when they buy at the ATH,

and the price drop with 10%, then they panic sell....lose money....blame Bitcoin. I am sooooo sick of this.

I hope we can finally prove them wrong in the near future, because this is definitely getting under my skin now.  Roll Eyes

Well, we already proved them wrong if we gave them the results of our hard work in the Cryptocurrency Industry. They are not knowledgeable or ignoring the fact that they can do something or earn something in this Industry. They must be at least interested in some of the platforms or at least know some basics about Crypto. Proving them wrong will be good and making them believe that it can change something for better is actually better.

Re: Crypro will make people smarter?
by
xAnima
on 23/07/2018, 14:27:06 UTC
I reflect on the fact that lack of regulation in the field of crypto currency, gives wide opportunities for scam projects. And it will not be possible to regulate the cryptocurrency, no matter how much the goverments want to do it. In the fact that in the world of crypto, lots of scammers and they remain unpunished, I see one big plus.

People will be forced to learn to be more insightful, calculating and rational or will be scammed. Protection from the state decrease our instinct of self-preservation and slowed our development.

Crypto currency will make the next generation of people smarter.

Let's discuss this topic.

You are actually stating a fact and you should edit your question into "Can Cryptocurrency make people smarter?". We know that Cryptocurrency is also doing something revolutionary and people are supporting it because it has affected their life. As i was learning Cryptocurrency, it intrigue me because of the fact that something so simple can create a big difference in the world. If Crypto and Blockchain Technology gets the chance to be taught at some point in the Education System, then it will be a huge difference.

Re: How to avoid ICO scam
by
xAnima
on 22/07/2018, 14:49:16 UTC
I mean, is there an exact list of rules that could guarantee that someone who follows them will surely not become a victim of another ICO scam. Of course there are obvious rules like event participation, reputation of team members among ather prifessionals, approve by well-known advisors. But potential scammers also know all these criteria and know what to fake exactly.

Is there a 'blockchain way' to create an algorithm, scheme or set of conditions allowing to recognise and ban scammers? Not government laws way which also good for the market in my opinion.

Would be appreciate a link to an old thread, perhaps I just didn't find it.

UPD Best Advices:
  • learn about previous ICO projects, select viable ones and participate similar ICOs
  • invest in an ICO with a working prototype only

You are actually right because if people does not do enough research, they might be involved in some fraud and lose their precious time investing on something that is not real. People must have the interest to know if something is real and true. This would take time because scammers are also taking their time to scheme something that is not true and let people invest on something that will only benefit them.

Re: Why bitcoin requires approval from countries ?
by
xAnima
on 22/07/2018, 14:29:00 UTC
I mean its normal to think that it really requires approval because of its high value. If its value is that high, then we must at least place something that might control its value or like approving the use of it. We know that it is from the internet and some countries are scared to be overthrown in their wealth. We know Bitcoin's value is still being developed even though it reached a milestone last year. Some countries are banning it and some countries are happy on the use of it.

Re: Are Cryptos finally getting stable?
by
xAnima
on 21/07/2018, 15:59:05 UTC
We can say that for the time being because we can finally some stable lines where the prices are staying at for a long time. We can say that even though the prices drop for a long time. It actually happens once a year and goes thru a cycle every year. If this stays the same then people would guess the pattern when would be the right time to buy and sell Cryptocurrencies.

Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money
by
xAnima
on 21/07/2018, 15:48:06 UTC
Of course we need to be mindful of placing some regulations on Cryptocurrency. As time goes by more and more Crypto's are being launched and Blockchain Technology is being widely used all over the world and we know that we can earn from this. We need to at least regulate some prices because if we do not do that, the world will be over populated with unused Cryptocurrencies that has no value and would be call junk and this is what some Crypto Enthusiasts are trying to avoid and not do. They are avoiding to fail their proposed projects because they believe it might do something fruitful in the future.

Re: Why is Bitcoin making the world go crazy?
by
xAnima
on 19/07/2018, 16:51:47 UTC
Since the sudden surge in the price increase of almost all Cryptocurrency including Bitcoin, some users really took the opportunity to invite more people to make them invest in something that also gave them profit. It does not make the world go crazy but it is making the world hungry for more allowances or money. They believe that Cryptocurrency might be the next best thing to make them rich and it is quite true for a few people.

Re: Why people are still buying BTC?
by
xAnima
on 19/07/2018, 16:46:47 UTC
Hello guys,

To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now...
I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

I don't get it.

Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  Roll Eyes ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.

An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.

Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).

I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

What you actually stated is the truth and it is still the truth however for the people involved around Cryptocurrency and the new users being involved in Cryptocurrency are here because of Bitcoin. Cryptocurrency would not be known if it werent for Bitcoin and users still somehow believe that the value of Bitcoin might still increase (which we still dont know and hope would still increase). Maybe they are taking the opportunity of buying Bitcoin at still a fair price and wait for its price increase in the end of the year and create more profit.

Re: bitcoin in developing countries

We know some countries are starting to legalize the use of Cryptocurrencies and this maybe because of the fact that some of the government officials are doing some research on how it can affect or improve their countries economic status. We know Thailand just recently legalize the use of Crypto and it is a huge move to believe that it will make their country better in terms of employment and the communities ability to sustain their personal needs.

If Thailand legalize the use of Cryptocurrency and is currently residing in Asia as one of the first country to ever Legalize Crypto Use in Southeast Asia, then it is a huge advancement or advantage to create more opportunities in their country and not only inside but also outside investments can be created into the country. If Thailand believes in Crypto in making their community or country better, then other countries should also do research what are the benefits it can offer for them.

Re: Token goes down. Wait or sell?
by
xAnima
on 16/07/2018, 14:26:09 UTC
Hello everyone!

We all know that the situation with market is not that good as we want it to be. Thus it affects a lot of ICO projects. On the one hand people don't invest in coin so much money as they did last year. On the other bounty hunters sell tokens fast and the price goes very low. That is why some projects prefer list their token on Idex first. They want to see how a coin plays on market.

And what investors should do in such situation? Sell all they have for small money or wait until a token will go up?

I'm asking as a person working in such project. After ICO token price went down (KCY, I'm sure you heard of it). And It is interesting to know investor's opinion about such situation.

What is your idea?

It actually depends on how you view or how will you speculate the next value of the token in the following weeks or even months. We know that some ICO's release their Circulating Supply to the Bounty hunters after they have reached the Hard Cap and some of their values decreased after doing this. This maybe because of the fact that bounty hunters sell to fast to get more money and not wait for the right time to sell.

We can see that the market is still going up and down but we can say that its value is still low. Its basically better to wait if you want more profit but if you strategically buy and sell some token or coins, you can gain more profit.

Re: What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin?
by
xAnima
on 15/07/2018, 13:52:37 UTC
Bitcoin has come a long way and come really come to stay. As a matter of fact, anytime some people who know nothing about bitcoin are introduce to bitcoin about how bitcoin works, they channel all their attention to whoever is passing the information to them by listening attentively. However, after developing the interest in bitcoin, they quickly revert their interest in bitcoin the moment they hear of the volatile nature of bitcoin, thereby, deciding not to invest into it anymore. Guys, what are some other factors that scare people from investing into bitcoin?

There are a lot of factors that can and will scare people from investing into Bitcoin and not just into Bitcoin but also in investing INTO Cryptocurrency. We know that people not knowing about Cryptocurrency may refer it to an scam or a fraud that will only cost them more money to waste. But for us users here we know that we can make more out of it if we use it properly and utilize our knowledge about it. We may convince them once we show them results from our hard work and if we tell them more knowledge about Cryptocurrency.

Re: How can a goverment trace you have BTC?
by

on 14/07/2018, 14:23:00 UTC
The government can trace your wealth if they at least placed recorders on what websites do you use on the daily. They can actually know where you live by their sleuth like behaviors that can allow them to trace any one they wanted to be traced. At least we can say that the Government is not that interested yet with the people who are HODLing large amount of Bitcoin or even alternate coins. We just hope that they cooperate with civilians that has not interfere with their daily lives and jobs.

Re: When will people feel comfortable using BTC ?
by
xAnima
on 18/06/2018, 08:28:13 UTC
What you have posted in 2014 is still a helpful question in the time present. We know that people are using Bitcoin because it can become a source of income and it is an easier way to do transactions but not all of them are comfortable and they are not 100% sure about if it is legit. Maybe if Bitcoin have some kind of regulations and rules that will be followed worldwide, then people might start feeling comfortable.

by

on 17/06/2018, 11:33:18 UTC
Well, i do not think that it is stupid to sell Bitcoin because it is one way to earn more profit. It is also a way of investing in other terms of Cryptocurrency and that means buying alternate coins. We can say that Bitcoin can be number 1 for another 2 years but we really do not know how long will Bitcoin can stay number 1. People are still developing it and that is a good thing for all of the users.

Re: Do you join ICOs that requires KYC?
by
xAnima
on 16/06/2018, 09:07:43 UTC
Do any of you participate in ICOs that requires KYC (Know your Customer). We actually experienced this one on exchanges but how about in partipating in ICOs or just even in airdrop that requires KYC.

I think it depends as for me as they are many scams as well just getting your information. In some instances, we can be blind sometimes, mkay? I really do not join airdrops if it requires too needy to get your personal information.

I believe some people are not cautious as long as they can join airdrops. How about you? What are your thoughts about KYC in ICOS?

This is actually good because Know Your Customer's or KYC are proofs that it is actually you that is joining and have taken interest on that ICO. The platform will know where their customers might come from or how will their platform be expanded around the world by knowing which Country is taking interest on their platform. We also need to keep in mind that it is not safe to give information and we need to be cautious in doing this.

Re: Do you think the whales are manipulating the markets
by

on 15/06/2018, 07:40:30 UTC
I think not because if Whales are really controlling the market, then those day-by-day-traders would not spend their time trading if they knew that it is controlled or even manipulated. Maybe the one's who control the market are those who uses them in need because they are demanding and supplying the needs of the markets.

Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
by
xAnima
on 15/06/2018, 07:38:40 UTC
If that's even his name. Just read the bitcoin wiki on him and I'm amazed. Nobody knows him.

Long time passed since he last posted in here. Why? "Busy"? I don't think so. He was active when bitcoin needed support but since the slashdot...
Also, it seems has knowledge in many areas, especially economy. He doesn't act like the average human. Not taking advantage out of his creation, leaving without telling anything. Is he even a single person or a group?

How can someone create something so great and not stepping out to get the credit?

Maybe because if he stepped out, the Government or any human that has great power even if it is bad or good and knew that he created something that is very secure and revolutionizing, he might get controlled or even kept away from society. I believed that Satoshi Nakamoto is a group of people but they do not want to be recognized because they want to be helpful even though they are not known.

by

on 14/06/2018, 04:34:54 UTC
Bitcoin is not actually recovering but we can say that it is ITS trend. The value of Bitcoin will exceed its previous highest value from last year then will receive a sudden decrease in value in the first half of the next year then it will happen again. The trend can be seen on the graph of Bitcoins value.

Re: How to detect scam ICOs ?
by
xAnima
on 11/06/2018, 13:48:38 UTC
It is hard to detect or determine fraud ICO's or ICO's that were set to scam people. You wont know it until the last minute because to earn money, they need to at least invest their talents to make people believe that what they are launching or campaigning for is real and legit. I guess the gut feeling of the person joining that ICO will decide what is good for himself.
