Re: Bitcoin rises still, but why?

I'm pretty confident that BTC is rising in popularity and spreading throughout social media like wild fire. There's been a huge influx of social media advertisements and just ads in general related to cryptocurrency bringing new people into the scene. I can't really see an end to this uptrend as it will continue to spread for quite a while. This is a very interesting time for bitcoin as the potential for growth in a short span of time is huge. I'm very interested to see where we will be in the next 6-12 months, hopefully it will continue to rise as it is bound to drop at some point once things settle down.

Quantum Bit (qbit.gold)
by

on 04/12/2017, 20:21:59 UTC
I was working today and after / whilst helping a customer he told me about this project they are releasing in about a week. Sounded a bit fishy as he told me Satoshi himself was working on this project and referred me to checkout the website ( qbit.gold ). Just curious what you guys think about this after taking a look. He said this will run off a brand new block chain that blows BTC out of the water. He also mentioned when the countdown on the website is up ( 7 days roughly ) they will be giving away 10 qbit coins to the first million visitors (Number might be off) along with a free software wallet download

Just wanted to get some opinions on this and get this out there in case it is actually legitimate

Referral links are an iffy one, not sure if you can do anything with that using Ad Sense. You could try those advertisements that popup in your Facebook news feed with your link and a photo or something like this. Legitimately, your best bet would be to write a blog / article entry on the site you're trying to get referrals for and use your link

There are plenty of alts that have great potential and are great for what they were designed for but it will be a long time before something revolutionizes as Bitcoin did. There's not that spark of origin with alt coins

Sure it will, just a matter of time. It's easily used as a payment method online and with online purchases on the rise it only makes sense

More than likely there are hackers out there trying to target exchanges nearly 24/7. Always someone trying to profit off of someone's hard work. It's not easy to combat this sort of thing but lots more go unsuccessful than not. With that being said we should "seize" their communist cold storage wallets

This would be amazing but I don't think so, just hype.... I do believe BTC will hit these goals at some point in time but in the next 2 years fat chance. Just hyping up so can sell off, price will drop to 2,500 at some point before it breaks 5,000 again i think. We'll see what happens...

With China's population of over a billion it's not really a surprise. Their people live in a state of poverty and depression so the political entities in China might be laughing but in reality the country really isn't that great. They're too invested in finance and resources / government than their own peoples happiness..

Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose?
by

I would strongly advise against it but it's your BTC / Money so do as you will. Would you use your investments for fun or would you just use your regular cash? My outlook is to use a percentage of the fiat i make from my job and convert it to BTC every month, but I look at it as an investment. Don't get me wrong sometime i'll use a small amount for some sports betting because it's something I enjoy doing and when / if I win, it goes right back into my wallet. It all depends on how you view bitcoin itself and that will determine how you accumulate and use it.

Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment

Contribute to the forum and eventually, once your forum rank is high enough, you can participate in a signature campaign assuming you are a quality poster and have positive trust at that point. There are faucets and this sort of thing but IMO they are a waste of time as you will literally only make a dollar in one full day of work. If you really want to earn a good amount of bitcoin you're pretty much going to have to invest. Maybe give freebitco.in faucet a chance and get lucky enough to roll 9999 and get some bitcents going for you. Nothing in life comes free or easy my friend

Re: At what price point per BTC will it be too late for the average person
by
xJuturna
on 28/08/2017, 12:48:01 UTC
That "It's too late" attitude already being in someone's head means it's already too late. It doesn't really matter what the valuation of it is, you can still invest little by little and it will accumulate over time. Bitcoin will come down again, and more than likely not just once and this will be the time for an "average" person to buy. As long as bitcoin is profitable and continues an upward trend then there is no reason not to invest some money and time into it regardless of what the price point is. Buy low sell high

Re: Price of 1 Satoshi rise to $1?
by
xJuturna
on 24/08/2017, 13:11:22 UTC
There's no real way to tell but I can guarantee most of us dream of this to happen. $1 per satoshi would mean a bitcoin would be worth $100,000,000 which is pure insanity and 99% of us would be rolling in $$$. Also with 21 million bitcoins in circulation at 100 million per coin, well you do the math. I think 1 cent or maybe even 10 cents per satoshi would still be amazing and somewhat reasonable. Then again who knows what will end up happening. In my opinion I couldn't see bitcoins being worth over a million dollars and that's a HUGE stretch, more than likely it wouldn't go above $50,000.

Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or asset?
by
xJuturna
on 22/08/2017, 23:07:47 UTC
Well if you think about it, it's a little of both. It is a currency only because it has a monetary value attached to it as well as having online and I think maybe even physical ( I could be wrong on that ) vendors that accept it as payment for goods and services. It also serves as an asset as it periodically rises in falls in value. There aren't many things that are like this and it's just one more unique thing that bitcoin has going for it. I think one day it will lean more towards the currency side as it will have a fixed value or something close to it.

Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins?

As far as the exchanges go I believe alt coins give you the potential to earn more money quicker but with a bit more risk. Obviously you can just hold btc , buy low, hold repeat but alt coins tend to be a bit sporadic and you can make a bigger profit since they are cheaper and mostly directly correlate with the current price of BTC. As far as surpassing in the usefulness aspect, there are some promising alt coins out there with their own purpose but I don't really see anything replacing bitcoin in the near future.

Re: What Will happen if all bitcoin already mined ?
by
xJuturna
on 20/08/2017, 17:05:31 UTC
Well we have many years until all 21mil bitcoins are mined. I'd like to sit here and give you a somewhat descriptive explanation that was well thought out but the answer here is pretty simple. If all bitcoins are mined, then there's no more bitcoins to mine. All mining operations will switch/transfer over to some other sort of blockchain. Pretty simple one to work out there...

Re: Should i start to mining????

There's a couple different sites that will allow you to estimate based on power consumption and price, and your hashrate (How fast you can mine, you can google each card to find out), how much money you can actually make mining. Unless you have a air conditioned room in your house dedicated to mining and relatively cheap electricity it probably won't be worth it. I heard some rumors about a guy out in Arizona who was using solar panels to power his bitcoin mining operation, pretty nifty if you ask me.
