Great idea, I waited already for a complete year and more for this to be coming true. I dream of P2P money for all time that I know money as a being.

Would appreciate an invitation to the discord chat, I can provide you with professional marketing knowledge and work as a sales talent that I am on phone, I have a nice and cool voice that does not get boring and I would offer my time to you guys!

Please pm me or email at

Also I'm interested in an invitation to the beta if its coming then in the upcoming time.

Maybe you should check out established free to play games that generate enough income already in the beta phase, e.g. "Battle Royale", "Fortnite" a graphic engine that is lightweight and cross-platform playable will be the most power to bring people to play the game. I advice for to contact the guys from Crytek, they have also a Coin released from a not so successful ICO.

hope your game gets true, I'm glad if you agree on my offer to help you, with the smart-contracts if altcoins and the connective issues inbetween BTC and the other blockchains that work with tokens on the single definition based currency itself as the coin. These smart contracts could be very cool to get e.g. an achievement in the game placed on user, game platform and the markets that the backbase of the held coins generates grid based profit over the timed income structure, that should be built to provide enough security to any investor.

Don't get me wrong, I just got exited reading about a BTC game,

I'm glad to be able to fulfill the need for proper 3D Game Development within the community. Discord links are available on the website although unfortunately I do not have much time to discuss such things with members.

The Public Alpha and Beta will be playable via direct download and requires no invitation.

It's not about income generation, it's about stability and security and adhering to the legislature around such things. Yes this is a business and yes it has to make money through fee's and we do give a significant portion back to the free play pool, but st the end of the day if all of this is not secured, it will be a waste of time.

So through organic growth initially and registrations for Closed Alpha and Beta testing, we will be able to take a much better stance on security as issues would be very isolated.
This statement also rings true for ERC-20 tokens which when utilising with my particular system, is insecure.

Glad to hear you're excited.

Wow this is a nice project indeed for us gamers who really loves cryptocurrency. The sample you attached in this post is quite awesome. The graphics, i think it is great. the maximum players in the battle royale is 1000 which is quite large for a battle royale. But overall it is a good project. It is satisfying to see it developed (through discord with the progress and stuff).

Thank you for your input, I am glad to hear that you like the graphics and overall idea of the game.
As for your concerns regarding Battle Royale, 1000 players is the maximum amount of players each instance of a server can contain, the modular system when completed, will mean that players can create games from 2-250 players (intially, subject to change), 1000 players is for events and very large maps.

Can't wait to try it but I noticed you were using a low resolution and yet, there was a lot of stuttering. Was this caused by hardware limitations while recording or this is how the game feels at the moment [I do know it's not the finished product yet but it's a bit annoying]?
[/quote

Yes so what you are seeing, is editor lag. I don't know why but the editor cannot run the application without suffering from high CPU consumption, I believe this has to do with the post processing used but without running proper tests, I can't say for certain.

The actual client doesn't suffer much frame losses, which will be visible in the next video.

As for low resolution, I am recording in 1080p on a 29" 4K Curved WQHD monitor, this may be why. I'll use my side monitors in future to record which are 27" non-curved and not 4K, I hope this will increase the visibility, if not I will search for the appropriate OBS settings.

Anything that causes a disadvantage to the player is of major concern to us, so we do investigate and resolve any potential issues that we consider to give an unfair advantage, including max latency.

There is over 106,000 lines of code in the last count and I have been programming this since the beginning, so I respectfully request that you not compare our months of work to "a basic 3D environment".

Did you know that 82.7% of numbers are just made up?

I've said my piece - I'll respect your request and wait to see how it develops.  Smiley

Just please don't ask for any bitcoin until you have an actual product.

Thank you for your respect regarding my wishes.
Here is an image of the last count to validate any further concerns.

In regards to asking for Bitcoin, we do not ask for Donations or Investments and the plans for the investment system were removed. The Closed Alpha will launch in 4 days to which the 42 registrants can play for free with the provided Credits and the Public Alpha is yet to be announced.

That looks like a very impressive game with the 3d graphics and all! Seems like also this game would be very skill-based somewhat like COD? What operating systems are you planning to target? The only issue that concerns me, in the long run, is the bots. What if the bots spawned are of a very high level and it's almost impossible for the new players to win the game? House will be on the win-win side.

Thank you for your input, this has been a long project in development and yes, it is 100% skill based with no randomness involved. I see you have noticed the world entities counter in the Administrator panel, these counters are counting all module aspects, including Dark Anarchy and Lost Armada, bot's may refer to Training Bots, Trading Bots and other non-combatant bots.

That looks like a very impressive game with the 3d graphics and all!

Actually Joel, it's just a basic 3D environment using a commercial engine.   The video does not show any type of customization.   :/

This is a false oversimplification of our work done, almost all assets (apart from the initial characters and lobby map, which are to be replaced) are custom made and have cost me a significant amount of time, money and effort to complete. The video shows implementation of Bitcoin and LiteCoin, but due to being hosted locally, it wasn't connected. There is over 106,000 lines of code in the last count and I have been programming this since the beginning, so I respectfully request that you not compare our months of work to "a basic 3D environment".  We do use Unity Engine as our engine and that is simply because of the professionalism and source code available for learning the core.

A tower defense BTC wars game? Looks like I have a reason to come back playing tower defense after not playing Crazy Defense Heroes for so long. This would likely promote Bitcoin adoption and awareness to players who likes playing tower defense games like me.

That's the aim, players who would otherwise be throwing their time at mobile advertisements, can instead benefit financially from their time at little/no cost.

The game itself is more of a lobby, where I will add minigames (such as darts and chess) until you play a game module which you have lobbied up to (unless that lobby has not wait time)

When Closed Alpha testing have begun and the registrations have closed, a demo client will be provided by our Bot within the Discord.
OK, I see. You should add website links on first post.
So what are we downloading here?
I mean is the game online as we need to sign up and register or we need to download and install it on our computers?

The Public Alpha will be posted here for users to download, the closed alpha can be downloaded and joined through discord once the bot announces it.

The game will only be available on Windows initially.

Registrations will usually be online however for the Closed Alpha, after running the -register command in Discord, then you can -link it and login.

I'll try record some footage, upload later today and edit the first post.
It's usually a large process due to the size of the project.

Whats the game about and is there any website we can visit and see how the game looks like in some demo version?

It's just a courtesy message, I'll remove it later when I update the post.

The official websites are https://btcwars.io and https://bitcoinwars.io

Even though it's not the finished product, it looks promising.

An investment system is yet to be established.
Not sure why there's a need for such a thing!

Shoot your way to fortune in a Bitcoin Battle Royale Game! With up to 1000 players per match, in a thrill-seeking and exhilarating game of skill, you can win big by conquering all your enemies!
I believe that's way too many players in a single match...
- I'm not a back-end person but it'll surely put a lot of load on servers.

Please inform me if I have done so.
Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
Thank you for your interest.

You are correct, Normally it is a lot of strain to put on a server, however our lobby system is somewhat unorthodox to cater to these issues. The way this is currently designed, is 1000 connections per instance, each instance being either a lobby or game that has commenced.
Key phrase of that sentence however, is "up to 1000".

Investment System is simply to give back to the community.

The screens look impressive. How much is the wager amount and the winner pot?

Wagers in Closed Alpha will range from 10,000 to 100,000 Satoshis per person.

The calculations are as follows:
Fee = 5% of Player Wager
1% of the Fee returns to a Free Play Pool
Reward = Amount of Players multiplied by Wager minus Fee multiplied by Players

Looking on this image do tells me that this is not the same into those previous games that i have seen before. This one is entirely different and im bit

I havent joined the Discord group..I would like to request out some video-clips about this game to have at least some glimpse of it?
Battle Royale and Tower Defense is one of my favorite games.Just wondering on how to earn up some Bitcoin on these games.

Ill be keeping my eye on this thread.

I'll see if I can get some time spare to record some footage but as it stands, I am as busy as I can be.

In regards to how you will earn Bitcoin in Battle Royale in free play, the idea of BR FP mode is more for practice, but I'll see what I can do

Great Thing man. I've checked the image and joined discord to follow further development updates. You did not mentioned any link so I am leaving it here: https://bitcoinwars.io/
so bitcoin community can check and read about it.
BTW. is there a reward system also like earn bitcoin for playing the games?

For clarity sake, there is also https://btcwars.io

There are Free to Play sections where you can play with Credits (Bound In-Game Currency 1:1 Satoshis) instead of Jewels (In-Game Currency 1:1 Satoshis) for practice, or other Free to Play sections where you can loot Satoshis funded by players who wager Jewels in Pay to Play sections.

There is no randomness used, no features or gears where you can gain an advantage over other players and nothing that makes it a game of chance.

An investment system is yet to be established.

#4: Are the any rules regarding Post Size, Image height, Videos etc etc that I should be aware of?
You can't directly post or even embed a video on this forum so you have to create a thumbnail and simply link it to the video platform of your choice.
- In addition to that, due to your current rank [Newbie], every single image that you post it'll be shown as a link by default (unless you rank up or "buy a copper membership").

~Snipped~
Allows you to post images even if you are a newbie, reduces the time-between-actions limit, and provides some of the same benefits as being of natural Member rank.

Thanks, I have taken note.

The investment area, would be an extension of the investment system for the Browser, players can invest in the game or in through the browser if they wish to gain shares.

Just a heads up about this part. Chances are, this is going to be mostly illegal whatever country you're in. Having your players to invest in your game sounds good in paper in terms of "incentives", but you might want to think about the potential ramifications of this.

I understand the ramifications of incentives and the server would distribute said incentives based on profit and such, obviously offering a 1:1 referral would be a bad idea, hence why we also use Bound Currency, a free currency.

Regarding investments, this is why I track everything. In order to comply with tax law, I am required to keep track of all Transactions, in and out. The game will be released under my Game Development Studio, all Investments are purchases of profit shares and not equity in the game or company.

I work within the proper policies, protocols and procedures under all relevant legislation that may apply.

Thank you for all this information, it is very helpful.
Regarding #1, is it fine to post there if it's possible to win Bitcoin via PvP and whatnot, or what that be considered Gambling?
Mentioning that there will be incentives of BTC there would be fine, but requiring them to post or replied with prizes should be on another section appropriated. You can post here: Games and Rounds As long as its not any altcoin it will be okay.

Im not sure if pure games platform can be accepted on Gambling announcement so I suggest Project Development since its more like you are developing a new platform right. What kind of games we are talking here?
I'll disclose some partial details;
#1: Altcoins have been considered like LiteCoin and Daah but not right away since it takes time to integrate, might not do it at all if it affects me here.
#2: Essentially the game is a "game of games", where I will continuously add every possible game-style over time, the first game hasn't been done before. I am trying to keep minimal details for the time being.
#3: All will balanced games but essentially the goal is to intoduce multiple different games. I will focus on Games of Skill as well, an example of this would be a player sitting down with another player, agreeing to a wager and playing a game of chess.

You could compare this to Satoshi Battles, in the way that it will require a client and such.

Registration is not required, I have implemented a Guest Mode which allows players to join in and earn straight away.
Deposits and Chat is disabled for Guest Accounts, but Withdraw function will be allowed for Guests so that they may withdraw whatever they earn.
Regarding #1, is it fine to post there if it's possible to win Bitcoin via PvP and whatnot, or what that be considered Gambling?

For clarification, no ICO or anything, just a game, however there will be incentives offered.

If they'd need to bet BTC to win them, then yes, it pretty much still falls under the gambling category. Can you add more details on the "incentives" and "investment area" part?

BTC isn't required as there will be free to play games where you can earn Bitcoin from looting, or play with bound currency.
Incentives may be in the form of Bound Currency for Free Play, Bitcoin from Referrals, Cosmetics etc etc

The investment area, would be an extension of the investment system for the Browser, players can invest in the game or in through the browser if they wish to gain shares.

When I am further along with development, I will showcase some examples.
I am currently working on the API, UI, Autopatch, Investment System amongst other features that will be needed before release.

Greetings

My questions are straightforward;
#1: Which is an appropriate section to post this in?
Project Development

#2: Where can I find rules about posting said game? If there are any specific rules
In here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2028417.0

#3: The website will contain an investment section, what are the rules regarding promiting the site or investment area directly?
Stated on my answer on question 2. As long its not an ICO, but probably not cause you mentioned BTC

#4: Are the any rules regarding Post Size, Image height, Videos etc etc that I should be aware of?
theymos said:

1.5 does really suck, 2.5 would be perfect

OK, I increased it to 2.5.

Eitherway man the proxy thing is annoying...  Undecided

Also some discussion about the topic here, regarding your concern.
Are there still size limits on image posting

Greetings

I have recently been working on a project that incorporates the usage of Bitcoin for the economy. In short, it is a game. I do not wish to divulge too much information, however upon completion, I will most likely post it here for people to view or play. It is both free and premium.

My questions are straightforward;
#1: Which is an appropriate section to post this in?
#2: Where can I find rules about posting said game? If there are any specific rules
#3: The website will contain an investment section, what are the rules regarding promiting the site or investment area directly?
And is an investment thread permitted?

It's probably ok. There are many other users here that have some variation of satoshi in their name. I'd be more worried about you being sued by Craig Wright  Grin.

How do I go about requesting that feedback?
You can ask these DT members in requesting neutral feedback that effectively appears in your profile as a warning to other members that you aren't impersonating the real satoshi account.

Just a few questions, there are a bunch of possible usernames that you can use but why you choose this username of Bitcoin creator?

But let's hear other opinions first.
It was just the first thing that came to mind when creating API for Bitcoin, due to x being unknown and the common phrase "we are all Satoshi", I thought xSatoshi was good for a generic name.

How do I contact a mod or admin?
You can find their names from this list:

List of the forum's admins/ global moderators/ staffs
- Click on their names > In "Additional Information" part, look for "Send this member a personal message" option.
- Take note: Due to your account status, you have a "limit in sending PM's".

How do I go about requesting that feedback?
I'll leave one shortly.
- Done.

Oh ok, thanks.
I am new to BitcoinTalk and when I registered, I was blocked and it had said I couldn't register a user, because apparently Satoshi was a reserved name.

My username is generic, x is unknown and "we are all Satoshi", hence xSatoshi, however being a filtered username, I could only use xSat0shi and as this is somewhat bypassing a filter, I am wondering if my username is permitted or if I should create a new user.

I think we should respect Satoshi by not modifying his name or using it.Its my personal opinion just. And I never try to modify the Legend name.

If Satoshi is alive and browsing this forum, he can be hurtful you know?.

So it's your opinion that out of respect for the creator, that I should change it?
Even though you are new to the BitCointalk Forum and it can also be said, for example you are a fan of @satoshi, but you register here, you should not use the name of the founder of this Bitcointalk Forum.

If, you use the account name @satoshi, afraid of being misused or can cause things that are not desirable, that is "maybe" you are prohibited from using an account called @satoshi.

Example: names that impersonate users in this Bitcointalk Forum, including the name @satoshi.

satoshi=number(1)=Original.
1.satoshi[Position: Founder][Date Registered:2009-11-19]
2.SatoshiDICE_PR[Position: Sr, Member][Date Registered:2013-05-10]
3.SatoshíNackamoto[Position: Newbie][Date Registered: 2014-12-26]

Including you at this time.

1. xSat0shi

2. ThxSat0shi

There are so many of the best names in the world that you can use, why should the name @satoshi, you can use a name other than @satoshi.

I'm not sure if your current account name is @ xSat0shi, safe or vice versa.
My advice, use another good account name, besides the name of the founder of this Forum, Better for you.

Oh dear, I did not notice there was another similar account.
Is there a way I can change my username or would I have to re-register?
It's probably ok. There are many other users here that have some variation of satoshi in their name. I'd be more worried about you being sued by Craig Wright  Grin.

This made me laugh so hard haha

I don't see a problem with it as long as you don't act stupid and claim to be the real satoshi

And I am always quick to correct those who call me Satoshi, I always write xSatoshi* followed by the explanation.
It's getting tiresome though haha

Unfortunately, it's looking like I might have to change it?
I am new to BitcoinTalk and when I registered, I was blocked and it had said I couldn't register a user, because apparently Satoshi was a reserved name.

Eh.. Satoshi has millions of haters, billions of lovers, he won't care Cheesy but forum might have some rules about it so I guess only mods and staffs can decide!

I guess the only thing I can/should do, is contact them directly and see what they think.
I wouldn't want to join the community, get settled, only to be banned for the name

Yeah click the move button on the bottom left and move it to meta, the admins and mods are there who can decide if you need a name change or not...

Standard users won't be able to help on this because we don't know what the admins are after.

How do I contact a mod or admin?
You are free to use any username you want, however, the name is kind of impersonation. xSatoshi = Ex Satoshi which means you are the former user Satoshi. I do not have a problem with your account name although. May be no one else will have too.
You can move it to meta section to get better response.

Thanks, I didn't know I could move it nor did I really know the appropriate section.

Yes, that is what I don't want, I didn't even think to consider x->ex

I guess we'll see what people think, I don't know if bypassing the filter is against the rules either.
I am new to BitcoinTalk and when I registered, I was blocked and it had said I couldn't register a user, because apparently Satoshi was a reserved name.
What exact error message did you get, AFAIK, there is no block on any username, except it has previously been used by someone else
it's likely someone tried to use that name already on the forum, hence you needed to find another variation of it.

Your current username is fine, but to avoid issues of impersonation, you could request a user to give you a neutral feedback on your profile, stating that you have no ties to the pseudonym satoshi, using this thread as a reference.

The exact error message was something along the lines of
"The username Satoshi is reserved."
Or very similar
How do I go about requesting that feedback?

Greetings everyone!
We are officially partnered with the game related `GameCredits` (GAME) Cryptocurrency now.
We are very excited for this currently stratetic but long term innovative partnership.

Game Credits Information:
Coinmarketcap: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/gamecredits/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/gamecredits
Website: https://gamecredits.org
Bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1266597

Good to hear.

All the best with your project.

Thank you, i appreciate that from you, we do our best we can as always.

On a side note i want to let everyone know that we are finalizing multiple other partnerships within the crypto space as we speak and we also finished our fb ads test campaign's and know our exact demographic to focus on so main ad campaign's will be up short term.
We also started looking into ad campaigns in the crypto space and we hope to have ads up on various crypto sites such as bitcointalk and others, very soon.

Take advantage of the high exp rates, empty leveling zones and higher drops now you still can!

That's fine. I have noticed a new development team and I am glad to see improvements.
I hope you this partnership with GAME will bring you further opportunities.
