congratulations people! see you all in October  Grin
I can not wait for the coming October, congratulations on the success of this project Cheesy

I bet a bunch of news will come out by then making our DRP even more valuable before listing on exchanges. The team is very honest they are from the netherlands its very good people there. If I could choose any country they would be top 10 super low crime and they have highest employment rate out of all countries they are hard working people.

They will do want it takes to insure value for the investors. Its like its a hidden gem but it can really gain some popularity by October. The team invested there own money to market not even using ico funds and i know this to be 100% correct.

As a dutch guy. I wholeheartedly agree.

I don't want to downgrade other countries. But if you have to give out a bet on a team from the Netherlands vs some other countries. I would bet on Dutch people.

what a load of complete nonsense, more like you are invested and you want the project to work out

you can't label an entire country as being honest

Re: Which of these Alts shall I choose for my Portfolio?

Hi,

Below is a list of coins that I keep seeing a lot on these forums:

- bat
- sia
- iconomi
- ark
- nem
- ripple
- iota
- monero
- waves
- etc
- stratis
- cloak
- litecoin
- antshares
- gulden
- lbry
- ethereum

Im looking for coins preferably with a total supply and is cheap like under $10 each and has real world usage. I read people say buy ethereum but its nearly $300 each now which is expensive that makes it a risky buy. Monero, litecoin etc are also expensive.

Looking to choose coins that are under $10 the cheaper the better and within a few years will reach high prices like litecoin/monero/ethereum today for maximum profitable returns.

Which ones shall I select?

I would choose;

- sia
- iconomi
- ripple
- monero
- waves
- etc
- litecoin

Also I agree with a member who said that "you have to look at the circulating supply". You need to consider that before invest in any altcoin.

If I just looked at the supply - I would never buy an XRP  - total supply 100,000,000,000. There are many factors, including technology or purpose.

why would you buy Ripple? yes big banks are working with Ripple.....for their protocol, which does not require the coins/tokens

Could you please elaborate on the 10% fee on trades? 10% of what? 10% of the price of an option? 10% of the fee an exchange pays dcorp for using their platform?

One last question for Hansco, your bio mentions: "and soon found himself successfully speculating by trading options and futures on the trading floor in Amsterdam. "

I really would like to know in what period where you in the crowd at the exchange, working for which company and trading in what stocks? I did some research and so far nobody from the crowd remembers or knows you.
For other people reading this: don't take this as a negative please since there can be a lot of reasons for this (different period, different stock, it was a big crowd).

Congratulations on the succesful ICO! I hope you guys can pull this off Smiley

the continued avoidance of an answer surrounding Hansco's involvement in options trading is becoming slightly worrying

Re: Wagerr and Edgeless - Regulation?

As much as I admire the optimism, there needs to be a little realism.

Starting with ICO's, I am sure these will be curtailed soon with the SEC coming down hard on them.

Secondly, if enough governments deem crypto to be an economic threat, they will most definitely find a way to come together to interfere, how they will do that is anyones guess.

I'm as much a believer about crypto as anyone else, but I see it playing out slightly differently, with more emphasis on blockchain platforms than currencies.  But that's moving away from the topic.

not just that, but for example in the US a lot of states are against online gambling, some have even banned it by law

also in the UK and other places the gambling authorities require user funds to be segregated etc

as tempting as it is to invest, I just can't see the people behind both of these projects standing up to continued pressure from the US/other authorities

but the ideas themselves are revolutionary

Wagerr and Edgeless - Regulation?

Both Wagerr and Edgeless look like great projects in their respective concepts, I am talking about their ideas, not necessarily the teams behind them.

However, the massive elephant in the room seems to be the threat posed by regulation.  And yes we are all of the belief that "they are on the blockchain" and therefore can't be shut down, but I don't doubt that is a powerful regulatory body based out of US/Europe became interested they would find a way to bring a stop to the services.

Any views?

http://24.media.tumblr.com/c33d22cdbb78477fc410c2c593d16751/tumblr_mvwnndhoA21rhgjbzo8_250.gif

time will tell, if you want to just blindly follow then that is your choice

but understand something, this is probably news to you, the banks working with ripple are working with ripple the company, they are NOT working with ripple the currency, so banks being interested has 0 direct correlation with the price of the currency

SHOW ME EVIDENCE LIL TROLL!

FYI everyone who put 25,000USD into XRP before, are not millionaire (That is pure HODL)

LOL LIL TROLL MISSED THE TRAIN, LIL TROLL IS UNHAPPY, LIL TROLL SPREADS SHIT NOW!

the evidence? hahaha the evidence is all around you, Abu Dhabi bank, in the news now, are they using Ripple currency?  Please tell me

the funniest part of this, you assume I am against Ripple, I have held Ripple since April 2014, so do the maths, I am just trying to bring some reason to your blind stupidity of "Ripple will make me a millionaire"

anyway, enjoy and when your dreams fail to come to fruition maybe you'll remember this

ripple will never be going to the moon, basic understanding of economics and how it has been designed will tell you that
"rIPpLe wIlL nEvEr gO tO tHe mOoN"  "bUt tHeY dOnt uSe xRp" "bUt tHey cAn DUmP" "bUt tHey cAn cREatE mOre" "bUt iM eXpERt bASic eCoNoMiCs"

Just lol to you guys trying this shit over and over and over

maybe if you spent some time understanding economics you would realise this will not make you a millionaire as many would believe, the price will always remain low

and yes let's come back 2, 3, 4, 5 years and you will see my comments, and many others who actually understand economics will be proved right

I think there will be a lot of unhappy people here in the coming months

The problem we have now, yes there are people crypto investing who understand the various projects, however there are a heck of a lot of people with seemingly no clue just throwing money around to whatever thread has the highest number of comments

Unless you know what you are doing, I would not mess around with day trading/short term holds, yes the gains are potentially exponential, as are the losses, it takes a few whales to get together and bye bye

The strategy I have employed is to accumulate coins in strong projects, those with a strong dev team, a strong product and a real life use, buy what you can afford to lose and wait

How I see things:

XVG - don't see a real future for this
SC - very small potential upside
STRAT - very strong project
BAY - don't see a real future for this

Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion
by
x_crypto
on 07/06/2017, 14:23:11 UTC
Well. I also started to trade on poloniex a month ago. Until now I checked every thread of the coins I invested in. I bought the coins and dumped them again because they are all shitcoins. Thats how my riskless investment of 10$ turned into 700€. But verge is different. Now I put all my money into verge and im holding it because I believe that 1$ per coin is the minimum potencial considered that monero is at 50$ and ethereum at 200$.

Thats why I and probably many others registered here. So there is nothing fishy about it.
I wouldnt register just for a shitcoin I dump a week later anyway and forget about it.

It's alarming the lack of knowledge a lot of people have who are ploughing money into random coins.  Monero being at $50 and Ethereum at $200+ means absolutely NOTHING with regards to how much Verge is worth.
