Yes, we realize that many of Y's projects were able to collect hundreds, if not thousands, of ETH within hours. A lot of them have deleted their social media account and move to another Y scam. So I don't think that's the best comparison. Hype isn't always healthy. Note that they can also fake their presales with scammed ETH.
