I do short, but some coins are worth holding.

Vert is new as well, 0 backing behind this statement.
About to invest a portion of my savings. I already have stakes in quark and I am looking for the next coin that I can invest in and hold for long term.

I currently hold many coins, however there is a few I am expecting big things from...
1. Quark
It is CPU-exclusive (will prove to be a very important feature over the next year or so - just watch). Extremely stable price (a good reason as to why it could be adapted as a legitimate currency in the future). Bill Still support (youtube him). Low to reasonable maintenance cost. Fastest confirmation time and outstandingly secure. Chinese exchanges trade huge volume. It was NOT pre-mined despite all that troll FUD. Google it (the trolls were threatened by a decent coin). This coin will be huge once the FUD starts to fade.
2. Vertcoin
Truly ASIC resistant (same reasoning for quark). Large support incoming in the next few months. Potentially 'the Google to Bitcoins Alta Vista'.
However, needs proper marketing and a new logo FFS. IMO will replace Litecoin over the next year or so.
3. Dogecoin
Huge community. Reddit support (tipping and subforum). Not an amazing coin in terms of its technical features, but has a lot of growth potential because of the sheer size of the community.
4. One of the 2nd gen coins
Possibly NXT however I'm not totally sold on it.
5. A coin not out yet
Coins pop up every day. Cryptocurrency is in its infancy stages. We haven't even come close to coins capabilities.

This contest CAN be redone, it's not that big of a deal. OP, can you make the poll only available to people who have 50+ posts? This would stop the troll accounts and the fake voting/whoring accounts etc. (Yes, I am aware that I have less than 50 posts but I want whats best for quark as I am heavily invested and a strong believer.

For the veterans who actually understand the rules, this contest is about:
1) create a 2nd (or 3rd) rate logo that will embarrass the quark community
2) create sock-puppet accounts to vote for yourself
3) get your sock-puppets to make comments supporting your own logo
4) troll other crypto threads to get more votes
5) get all of your Facebook friends to vote for you
6) get all of your Twitter followers to vote for you
7) accuse other people of trolling and being unfair for calling you out on #'s 1-6
This is going to be even better when people start getting 100+ votes....and then you'll look at their logo and say - yeah they definitely followed rule #1 by making a 3rd rate logo, and they really dominated on rules #2-6...
I just want to personally thank a select few of the participants for TRULY giving me hope in humanity by being such highly evolved beings

This contest is absolutely ridiculous. The voting is rigged and the designs are shit (aside from 2 or 3 which aren't in the top 3 anyway). The prize money is RIDICULOUS and the design that wins won't even end up being the official design as other people have previously stated.
Ultimist's design looks like it should be the logo of a 1970's nuclear research facility. Whoever made this poll should have made another option titled "Keep the old logo?".

Your design is literally the most unappealing logo of any crypto design I have seen (and I am attempting to be nice here)...
It looks like it was made by a 16 year old who think he is the GOAT at photoshop, plays too much world of warcraft and is obsessed with Burzum. It doesn't suit a game-changing crypto-currency like Quark. You have talent (somewhat), and I can see that. However it's just not up to the level of professionalism as the other designs.
The best designs IMO (or most suitable) are:
1. mbjmonetarymetals - it is just a re-vamped version of the current logo (which is perfect because the current logo is great/aesthetic to begin with)
2. boxxl - sleek and a universal design
3. AdamDelicioso - a spinoff of the current bitcoin logo (brilliant and simple idea)

Seriously, imagine going onto an exchange and seeing Bitcoins logo, Litecoins logo, Peercoins logo and then QuuuUarkKK sitting there like an aborted abomination. Seriously, just picture it there for a second and realise how out of place it is.
