Is it safe to underclock memory more than -502?

MSi AFter burner has a -502 limit, using --mclock i can underclock even more...

Guys, i have two 1080 ti, im trying to use the perfetct --mt + overclock settings, to use less energy with maximum hashrate

Sometimes i mine the entire day without cuda crashes, and then, with the same settings it starts do crash each hour...

any tip to see which card is making cuda crash using logs?
maybe exists a log option to log only cuda crashes?

Im mining with nicehash, i can use Nicehash logs or NBMiner log,

Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm NVIDIA GPU miner [1.5.6a]

Hello friends, dropky

@dropky, can you help me?

1- Using the algo-switching manually on Excavator(and at Nicehash servers), just like exemplified on command_file_switching_example.json, it would switch based on nicehash statistics? just like excavator changes when used by nicehash app? and are the earnings identical?

2- I'll use excavator from nicehash install, it would read my benchmarks made by nicehash exe before?

3- And where to add some overclocking params before each algo switch at "command_file_switching_example.json"?
I only wants to switch between Lyra2Rev2 and DaggerHashimoto, for one device, at nicehash, and based on my benchmarks which is lyra2rev2 = 69.3 MH/hs, and DaggerHashimoto 53.6 MH/s, and then add some overclock setup before each algo-switching, any example for this?

Any help???
Pleeease

My two 1080 G1 Gaming Gigabyte have the same problem

While using my "stable" OC Profiles, with +700 mem clock
I have troubles to stop mining(for example to switching algo mining purposes), or change memory clock while mining, or simply closing miner, or closing ETHPill exe
Right after doing any of this examples, artifacts appears on screen, and than reboots..
(it doesnt happens if i dony use the Pill)

Is there any way to fix it?
Its very important to switching mining algos here, or ill be stuck to mine always Eth...
It would be  perfect if i fix it

I'm able to fix that using less memory clock, but it drops all my hash-rates,

Hello friend

I have 206,5mhz, do you recommend ucrypto for me?

Am i able to mine on Ucrypto.net using Phoenix miner?
If yes, can you tell me the command line example?

Thank you from Brazil  Smiley

Enter on google docs:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/
Create a sheet

Learn how to use ImportXML:
https://zapier.com/blog/google-sheets-importxml-guide/

Now make some examples for me getting some infos from WhatToMine, such as Ethereum(ETH) difficulty right now, or "Est. Rewards" of "Ethereum(ETH)" right now using my Rigs infos, or of anyone else who what to use this!

Thank you very much!

Is "unstable" clock harmful?
by

on 03/05/2018, 12:30:38 UTC
Hello friends!  !!

I have 3 1070, and 2 1080

Here on my little-rig i has 4 of them.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/kwz2chdpkcem4di/clocks.jpg?raw=1

Unfortunately my 1070s are weak, if i get < 66 % Power Limit, they run at 900mhz Sad
They just run at > 1400 mhz @ 65% TDP,  if i overlcock for at least +160 on Core Clock
(by doing that, they can reach 31mhz on ethash)

But the Clock became pretty much unstable, core drops and raises for example between 1380 and 1430 every second

Look above my 1080, it runs perfectly

My 1070s, get good results in my opinion, 31mhz at 97W(by the way, is it a good result for an 1070?)

Any help?!

Is there any chance for the Pill reduce even more the cards lifespan?

the real question

FFS here we go again! perpetuating the MYTH that electronics wear out like some machine!

The only thing that is likely to suffer are fans because they are mechanical.
Until you can explain at the material level what changes with age, be quiet.
24/7 operation is not a reason.
Running at 100% is not a reason (unless you're an idiot you will be under clocking and volting to reduce power)
heat cycling is not a reason( for one thing mining gpu aren't cycling, they run at steady temps)

So enough with the irrational paranoia, and anyway you will be upgrading before any gpu's run long enough to wear out

Baz

Im lay, im just asking

I run < 60º and only 58% power with my 1080s with the Pill, but the program could me changing some critical feature
IMO you can't say absolute nothing about this

I could be running at 10% power usage, at 10C, this does not mean that an software cannot damage the card, why not?

I know a question like this might offend the developer. Of course, if she/he knew that it would damage, she/he would have warned or she/he would not even have released the software.
But it has to be asked. And already it was answered.
Let's go on

Hashrate loss After Nvidia Driver Update
by
xinxilas
on 29/04/2018, 23:38:54 UTC
Hello! In case someone has doubts if Nvidia drivers can affect Mining Software's performance

I just updated to latest 397.31 and i give 100% sure that 1080 lost hashrate for Equihash. Tt was doing 505.00 Sol's, after update 500.00 for my 2 1080...

I was in doubt about it, now ill test many drivers, ill give results here.

I'll start with 382.33, which i read in some topic its the best.

Thanks!

Depende da placa tambem, tem umas que crasham com menos e outras com mais
E a memoria tbm faz crashar
