For the impatient, here is HVC cgminer version that works on 1gh: https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_skein

It currently only works with GCN cards (or so I believe). No binaries are available as it is a WIP, and I will not provide support for this version.

Please configure with './autogen.sh --enable-heavy --enable-opencl' and run with '--heavy --vote 1024' (or your preferred vote). Best intensity setting seems to be 3 for all cards, but you may have luck with higher values.

Fails to start on 7850 with a segfault:

Not pretending to get support, just a notification.  --skein works fine.

Can anyone share hashrates you get on qubit on 7850 GPUs with sph-sgminer? I can't max out 1.4mh for 7850 (on Ubuntu), but reading the thread I've got impression it should be at least 2mh for 7850?
it would depend on the coin you are mining
i get 1.9mh/s with a 6850 at --gpu-engine 950 --gpu-memclock 1150 -I 16 on qubit algo
and 930kh/s with --gpu-engine 900 --gpu-memclock 1000 -I 16 -g 2 -w 256 on dark
I run at 1050-1100 engine clock, and still can't get over 1.4mh on qubit and 800kh on dark, though gpus give perfect hashrates on scrypt/scrypt-jane.
Could you share your os and driver/sdk versions?

I run win 7 with the 13.2 drivers
mem clock is what seems to affect the hashrate the most
Yeah, I tweaked mem clock, but everything above 1250 does no good. But this is not the engine or clock issue, since 30% difference is huge.
I run 13.4 on Ubuntu 13.10, and that seems to be the key. Will try another driver versions.

Great! You can send the reward to XoXMRjAP2VkvMdkXY24nQriKJ4KAALigax Smiley
What, the reward was a fake? Can't believe it!

I've seen this mentioned a couple times in the thread and i'm seeing it as well...  Just wondering if the numbers are legit or not

3 different ati cards in 1 rig. a 5870, 6970 and a 7970.  When running groestl for myr i'm seeing 12.3mh on the 7970, 12.7mh on the 5870 and
a whopping 15.11mh on the 6970.  This is solomining with the waller conf properly set to groestl.

I was going to sign up for the one pool listed for myr/groestl to check and see if shares are actually getting accepted but they have it posted
that shares don't report correctly...  so...   thoughts?
I run several 7850 at 6-6.5mh on groestl. Your 5870 and 6970 hasrates look too good to be true Smiley
That was my thought as well.  I let it crank overnight and it came back with a fair number of blocks.  So, i guess it's actually working..
It could be sgminer reporting wrong hasrate. However if this is true hasrate then wow, older GPUs are better at groestl!
Perhaps groestl kernel is not properly optimized for 7x radeons yet.

he dumped nearly 500k no doubt bcos i have been watching the market last few days, selling 40k+ rapids each time, he kept selling even @2500, nobody had that much yet no time to mine it.
Is it possible to see coinmarket.io trade history somewhere?
If these were rough equal chunks one at a time, it's clearly him.
Otherwise it could be a chain-dump (as mentioned before) - early big buyers were panic-selling at a loss.

Any of these are on coinmarket.io? You can generate new wallet address with every new deposit right?
How is the selling on coinmarket reported on the blockchain?

If we manage to takeover premine needs to be invalidated if possible.

Selling on an exchange of course is not related to a blockchain.
E.g. all these coins can be sold atm, but new holders didn't withdraw them from the exchange.

Coins can be destroyed only if the exchange confirms that these addresses do not belong to it.
However my guess that half of premine or so was dumped.

it wouldn't be too difficult to create an optimized gpu miner, it just has to be worth someones time to make it in the first place Smiley
A gpu miner for quark algo is already there - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=310975.0
An early version, but it shows promising results on some radeons.

Right decision, there's no need for a separate forum, you can just link to this thread from the site.

When will quarkcoin.org be back online? If the developer needs a web server I can donate one of my spare servers with 4GB RAM + 4TB bandwidth per month...
Looks like the developer has abandoned the coin. Which is really sad - quark is outstanding, not just another pump&dump sh*tcoin. I think quark community should start looking for someone to take his place asap. Buy orderbook on cryptsy is almost empty, and the coin will just die after another couple of dumps.

Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining

So now many quarks can one get in a 24 hour period with a better CPU?  Like say an 8 core AMD or an older L5420 Xeon CPU or an newer i7?

I'm trying to see if it's worth it to build up a new CPU rig to mine quarks or if an existing one I have (the dual core L5420 xeon dell 1U server) is good enough.  TIA

I think with current reward (512 per block) a pessimistic rough estimate is hasrate * 3.5 (or better) in a pool.
E.g. FX-8350 at 1.1mhash will make 3800 quarks/day now. But remember that reward halves quite fast.
