Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine

Has anybody else not received any BC yet from the Multipool, and yes I know it's in Beta but others were talking about getting coins earlier.  I've been mining for around 13 hrs now with two 750 Kh/s machines and have nothing.  Was showing 109 BC earlier on my current balance, but those are now gone.

What is there to dispute

1) Dev holds 90% of coins under his control
2) Market cap inflated by counting pre-mine
3) No escrow exist for pre-mine, dev unwilling to consider escrow.
4) Pre-mine can be dumped by dev at will
5) Air Drop will launder pre-mine to be spent on exchanges
6) No plan in place to do the impossible of contacting all residents of Iceland in two weeks

when cashcoin hit 0.001 btc?  Cool Cool

Instead of just asking when it will get there so you get rich and move on to something else, why not get the word out, put some effort into developing the coin and actually earn your profits!

By the way the price was leaping, candle chart looked steeper then Everest.

Tell ya what.  If someone sends me the 25 coined they mentioned, I'll throw 10 to the kitty.  This address, from the original announce post, right?  F3yiDmE4AcDvxVLJjWP6rGj3GZPjAFZSHM

Done, I had a 3h nap after 10 hours trading and mining glued to my PC.

If anyone wants some CASH coins .. I will send 25 to 1st 10 people to post wallet address (since it looks like fairly safe, rather than PMing me)

Dished out 3x 25 on CoinEx .. ppl like it. 7 more left on top of this 250 here.

I'll take some CASH coins.  EsYFJrWQiuqu7tVmusfND8njpNdBmyH8bf

Thank You

Re: [ANN][DUCK]DuckDuckCoin - Kimoto Gravity Well - MOTHERDUCKER WE'VE BEEN FORKED

Wouldn't the software only accept a chain that builds on the correct early blocks? And woudn't those early blocks secure the premine to an account whose key was only known to the original developers? Are premines really this badly implemented in all the alt coins that have them?! These are utterly obvious precautions. It seems like this would only be possible if the premine was implemented with mind-boggling ineptitude.

yes and no... some of the things that you said are true, and yes this was a sub-optimal, perhaps lacking in eptitude launch - but we saved it and I'll explain more below.

we??  someone has already said that it was only 2btc and that amount was donated from someone else..meaning not a dev.
please explain...also how much duck was kept...rumored that it was .5

We wanted a fair launch with nobody on the team having unfair access to the sourcecode. We didn't want anyone getting any unfair mining advantage, the community can spot an instamine and that can taint the developers as untrustworthy. We didn't want to mine lots of blocks, we only mined and checkpointed to block 3 to secure the genesis block.

The coin bandit took advantage of a small window at launch, when a couple of essential things did not go as planned, to create a new chain with a new genesis block! The premine was secure on the original chain, but the original chain got replaced. The technical name for what transpired is referred to as an embarrassing clusterduck.

Immediately we scrambled a team of 16 for a 3 hour skype call, including pool owners, miners & other coin core devs. One of our developers was literally just out of the delivery room, his wife had just given birth when The Big Quack happened at ~9:30 PM EST.  He was able to take 30 mins to join the skype mastermind session on his cell phone outside of the hospital. Over all I'm proud of the way the entire team came together and worked on solving it. We did not plan for this, but we found a solution and worked well. This had never happened to us before, which is why we did not react as fast as we should have.

We acted slow because we did not want to shut everything down and delay the launch until tomorrow night because we would have lost momentum, which might kill the coin. This may have caused financial loss to the pool owners and miners that worked hard for the launch.

The other option was to use our sizeable hash power to relaunch right away, fork and take control of the blockchain with the miners & pool owners ... but we eventually decided against that as there would be competing blockchains that might never resolve itself, and some miners would have lost out on coins they mined.

While we were planning for a re-launch of the coin, taking down the repo and rebuilding the blockchain, syncing up with the pool owners to make a technical fix, some members of the marketing team took it upon themselves to negotiate with the premine pirate who reached out on IRC.

Our options were to solve it technically, which we were ready to do to save the coin, or give into his ransom demands. The problem with giving into the ransom demands is that the Crypto Catburgler wanted DUCKCOIN. We had to give him duckcoin from somewhere.

Keep in mind that our only premine compensation is 0.4% of the premine which is split evenly amongst THIRTY people. That's right there's 30 people on the team that have helped get this project off the ground, and will be providing infrastructure, resources, marketing, development, community support etc in the future.

The other 2.6% is for community giveaways and bounties. The final 17% was purchased by the investors. So there was the dilemma, do we steal the DUCK from the community to give to him, or do we steal the DUCK from the investors to give to him.

One of the early investors, aka the negotiator, stepped up and offered his share of DUCK to give to the Genesis Egg Kidnapper in order to resolve the hostage situation without having to hard fork or issue a new blockchain.

The amount that he made off with was 0.5 DUCK, which was equivalent to 2 BTC, which was send by this member for his share of The Big Quack. It's not a total loss for this member as we promised to buy him back 0.5 DUCK with the BTC that was raised once the coin is listed on an exchange. He asked us to do it this way rather than just sending him back the BTC because we will be helping provide liquidity to a miner or another investor by buying it off of the exchange for him.

There's a a couple of bugs left to squash, there's a transaction fee problem that we unfortunately missed, which is causing stuck transquacktions at the pools. This will require a client update hopefully in the next 12 hours. There's also an issue for some duck hunters trying to sync which requires fixing some configuration. This should be resolved soon.

We hope you enjoyed the entertainment, this should go down as The Great Genesis Egg Heist: The Best Failed Premine In History!

30 devs? and this occurs (no wallets, no nodes, no block explorer, but a whole bunch of pictures). and then 16 gathered for a 3hr skype call
...sounds more like a gaggle of geese.

Why did you choose not to list the nodes and upload the wallets at launch?

Why did an early investor have to step up and give away his investment rather than one or all of the 30 devs doing so? ...sound like none of you invested.

How many eggs did the majority of investors lay as this debacle was occurring?

It's funny that people actually believe these stories the Devs make up.  It's even funnier that people actually invest in these alt coins, when it's scam after scam.  Guess pretty pictures and funny talk is all it takes to get money from people.

All my 74 million mooncoins got stolen. Obviously there are some malicious commands in the IRC network command and control.

http://moonchain.info/tx/97a301bac24644bd73c5a191f8068c473d7d266480482efb73b78025db7a8b0f#i179

Good job Mooncoin developer, I am professional reverse engineer and former Professional Anti-Malware analyst and I can be quite sure that I have no malware on my PC.

So it has to be either:
1. Exploit in the way mooncoin handles transactions via the IRC (Haven't digged deep enough on the internals yet, using IDA (asm x86) not reading stupid source code)
2. Bad Wallet, which I checked it's identical to the one on the website.
3. My PC is infected, which I doubt since I just reinstalled it and all anti-virus programs are running.

I will report this to my colleagues in the anti-malware corporations (Yes the big ones) and we will do full analysis of the "wallet" and IRC networks.

lol, wow, your credentials are impeccable.  "Professional reverse engineer", outstanding /sarcasm.

How the hell is this the first coin mixing service.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=402095.0

Seriously.
It's just announced (since months). Nobody knows if even one line of code is written so far. TIPS mixing is currently in a running beta. You get the idea...
Exactly, as a holder of StableCoins myself I've been waiting on it's mixing service to come about with great hopes for it. Sadly it seems that the developer announced it and hasn't done much since. The beta signups were a good step in the right direction but I haven't heard anything since then.

I'm not sure what's taking them so long, the way I implemented it in FedoraCoin is almost exactly the same way they planned it for StableCoin, but we managed to get a actual proof of concept running in less than 6 hours, with a working usable beta running in less than half a day. Compare this to StableCoins 6+ months of waiting and you'll see why I'm surprised it's taking them so long.

I actually hope that StableCoin manages to bring it out soon because I'm interested in how they plan on implementing it, the way that artos originally described seemed good on paper but when it came down to developing it I realized it'd require everybody to be running the latest version, which would be a miracle in the world of cryptocoins (There's still people running FedoraCoin 0.43, which is 2 versions older than the current version!)

I wish the best to all StableCoin holders. Maybe now that there's a competitor with an actual working mixing service this will help to bring StableCoins service up and running soon.

Well that proves how good of a job you and your team are doing.  Able to get a usable beta running in less than a day is outstanding.  Thanks for your hard work on FedoraCoin.

i have mined on your DEDICATEDPOOL.COM and got 80 coins in two hours wtf ? It show daily of 13000 SWAG on my speed.Doesn't look like  will get that many coins.
Yeah I have over 30,000 accepts and still have no coins and not even any showing unconfirmed or confirmed.  So basically over 2 hrs and 0 coins with close to 800kh's.  Glad I left my other rig mining other things.

I find this very odd.  Please contact me via email, pm , or IRC.  We were a but bbehind with processing confirmed coins, but you should have coins by now for sure!   Contact me so I can look in to the issue.  Are you sure you are mining on the correct port?

It's no problem, I have a little over a 100 confirmed showing now.  I have used your pool's on lots of other coins and never had a problem, so sorry if it sounded like I was complaining, just stating what was happening.  I know that launches with low difficulty usually have problems, and I know that your pool is top notch, so it's all good.
