Just updated to windows 8.1 and my BFL SC Jalepeno would no longer work.

Heads up for anyone else having issues, the problem is not with cgminer but the USB driver. You just need to open zadig again and apply the WinUSB driver.

what sort of direct download speeds are people getting with their downloads? I would be using this service in bulk but for the slow DL speed I get. I often see the torrent hitting several MB/s while watching the progress, but i can't seem to get more than 190KB/s from the direct download. is this about the same as everyone else?

i too am still waiting on a BTC refund after a bad deal. however Wnd's communication is generally excellent.

Looking into getting a new card for gaming and mining, thinking either a 7950 or a 7870. I saw in another thread someone was getting 430MH/s with a 7870 @ 1100MHz, haven't been able to find any real results from a 7950 though. If you've got one some info would be great, keen to see what clocks/speeds they can get.
