Tried to build bitcoin core on my centos 6.5, but haven't been able so far to sort out the dependencies.
Also, haven't found any centos specific instruction for compiling. Are there any?

I hope they would put together a bitcoin core client for RHEL/Centos 6.x because it's going to be around for a long time. EOL is currently set at 2021.

Yes of course the exchange rates change continuously. But what I meant was that if the user in the send/request dialog enters a fiat amount and lets the wallet calculate the bitcoin amount, then it is the user's intention to e.g. send 100 USD and it would be helpful if the application would record that fact as part of the transaction.

So that the information would be available to the user when using the wallet at a later date.

Anyway, I'm just one of those users that dislikes it when an application thinks it knows better than me what's good for me.

When the user of the Android Wallet wants to do a backup he has to give a password otherwise the application won't do the backup. Should the application really force the user to give a password? I mean one of the biggest security risks when it comes to losing bitcoins is in my opinion forgotten passwords. Why not make it optional.

And with the information it provides it looks very much like Orbot manages to route the Android Wallet over Tor.

Btw. is the Android wallet more at risk from an rogue exit node than the satoshi client?

I did a test transaction and looked it up at http://blockchain.info and the IP address listed under 'Relayed by IP' was not my own. But then again it doesn't have to be even if the android wallet connects directly.
