Re: Bounties in 2018

How good (or bad) have your bounty rewards been in 2018 in comparison to 2017?

2018 was really bad. I totally earned nothing since most bounty that I have joined this year have no value. Some of them are scam, some have no value, some are on a frozen state, some are shit coins. I hope that something good will happen next year since I have wasted a whole year joining campaign this year.

THIS IS SO INTERESTING TO ME!!! so whats the word??
what are people doing?
HODL?? PANIC SELLING?? COMMENT BELOW I'm curious as to what everyone is doing during the current CRYPTO LANDSLIDE??? LET ME KNOW!!

Most likely people who are new in crypto are panicking since they are not aware that the bear-market is the best time to buy more cheap altcoins. The price correction is normal since last year, the market demand rose up really crazy. The market will stabilize soon and recover, those who sold for losses will have their regrets.

There are lots of coins this days and more are still emerging by the day. If eventually cryptocurrency becomes accepted globally and it's been adopted for usage, do you think all the coins would be accepted for usage or only a  selected few?

Not all coins will be accepted. I think it depends on merchants or companies what coins will they accept as a medium of exchange once cryptocurrency will be fully adapted around the world. Not all cryptocurrency has usage, most of altcoins are shitcoins, created to make profit.

My game is craps.
It is always interesting to see how the night goes on that.

I think the best gambling game I have played is poker. You can use a lot of strategy on it. I think it is one of the best card game since it involves a lot of strategy on it. You can even win with a trash card if you know how to bluff really good.

Re: Gambler's mindset!

I have tried to think what goes through my mind when ever I am trying to place a bet. I think something strange do happen to me and that is I always have this thinking that what if I lose, how am I going to feel! I have never want to lose in my mind I want to win always but I think this is impossible. Gamblers here did you always want to win all your bet? If you win all how will the gambling company makes profits?

Of course, gamblers want to win, that's what gamblers aim when gambling. If you don't want to lose money, don't gamble. Gambling is risky, and the odds of winning is thinner than losing. Chances dictates your odds in winning, even the most effective strategy in gambling may not work sometimes.

Re: gambling in the crypto market

I think the crypto market now seems to be more suitable for gambling than for normal life, as it seems to solve a lot of things like fast, convenient, anonymous and easy to dodge. the law.
Are you saying yes and no? Grin Grin

I believe so, some people gamble in crypto with all they have. It is risky, but it is highly paying. However, the risk is too high that you can even lose everything you have. Cryptocurrency created a good opportunity to people to earn.

Re: You cannot win in gambling

I just had a really bad day gambling today with Roma losing a ticket for me and their odd was 1.20 and they were playing against the last place of Italian Serie A. I thought a bad day and move on and played another ticket this time I choose Brondby as they were playing at home against a team they had beaten almost always and the odd was 1.35. This was even worse as Brondby lost 2-4 at home to a team quoted from the bookies at 8.5

Now I am not an expert in gambling but this day was a really eye opener for me, you can never win in gambling. Imagine when you can't win in lotto , soccer betting or whatever you call it, you don't have a chance in slots.

Winning in gambling is fun, however, we should take note that it is difficult to go home with money since we become greedy when we win, or even if we lose. Sometimes, we chase after are losses and end up losing instead of winning. Gambling makes us greedy, and that greed makes us become gambling addicted.

Re: Would you play at a casino where payments are delayed for days? Why?
by
ymirymir
on 11/12/2018, 18:33:17 UTC
Ever since I gambled at cryptocurrency casino's that offered instant withdraws, I haven't used any other online casino that imposes 'reviews' on payouts.
I'm wondering if other people still play at online casinos where they have to wait for days before their withdraw is processed.

Why would you even play at such a casino?
They usually even encourage you to cancel your withdraw, to keep you playing. Seems somewhat manipulative to me... Why would anyone support that?

I never knew that there are online casinos that gives out winning delayed. I thought everything online is instant, that is why most gamblers prefer gambling online than in real life. That's also one of the main reasons why online casinos are famous.

Re: The key reason for gambling
by
ymirymir
on 11/12/2018, 16:52:09 UTC
I realize this question was probably raised before, but I believe that the answers might be changing with time, because bitcointalk community grows and because the interests and needs of people can become different in years. I recall a video on addiction that explained that people mainly become addicted because of feeling sad and lonely. When I made a thread about whether gamblers think that gambling addiction has the same reason, the answers differed a lot. Now I am curious what kind of people are gambling here. Are they mainly looking for money, excitement, socialization? Please vote and leave a comment below in case you want to add something to your answer.

Each of us has different reasons why we gamble. Some people gamble just for fun and thrill. Some gamble because it's their hobby, or it's their way of relieving stress. Some are gambling because they are addicted to it. Whatever the reason is, all of us has one goal in gambling, it is to win.

Re: What are some unique advantages of online gambling ?
by
ymirymir
on 11/12/2018, 15:48:13 UTC
I will start with one to begin the discussion. If you are putting huge amounts at stake and want to keep identity private, online gamblign comes as a boon.

Maybe it is security. You remain anonymous when you are gambling online and your funds are safe. Unlike when you are playing in casinos where you will have to bring and take out your money once you are done playing. That way you can secure your identity and funds.

Re: What cryptocurrency would you engage to gamble in?
by
ymirymir
on 10/12/2018, 17:15:18 UTC
I've seen a lot of people talk about BTC gambling, but is it that there are lots of cryptocurrencies to gamble in and not only Bitcoin? Although I know the answer for this, and maybe a lot of people as well know the answer to this, but I'd leave the answers to those who are eager to enlighten those who have little knowledge and information about this.

So what do you think? What cryptocurrency should be recognized and should be gambled with?

JKR in EOS platform is used in gambling. I think some developers are starting to develop cryptocurrencies that can be used in gambling since most crypto enthusiasts like gambling too. Soon, there will be more cryptocurrencies that can be used in gambling industry.

Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling?
by
ymirymir
on 10/12/2018, 15:32:16 UTC
Many but not all gamblers are claiming they gamble for fun and pass time. I was just thinking. If it is the reason why people gamble then why not play online games? There is a lot of good and challenging onlne games wherein you can interact with other people online?

Of course, anyone can just play online games instead of gambling. However, people want to play games with variation. If you keep on playing the same game over and over again, you will most likely lose interest on it.

The odds of winning in lotteries is very small. It's worth it to bet on lotteries, but do not spend a lot of money on it since there's no guarantee that you can win from it. I don't like gambling, that is why betting on lotteries is not really my thing.

Re: What does KYC gives you ?
by

on 06/12/2018, 20:49:28 UTC
Hi.can someone tell me if KYC is ok ? what could be the effects of doing it especially in bounties/airdrops, they are requiring to pass KYC before joining

Some bounties require KYC because of regulatory purposes. Not all countries allow their people to invest in ICOs due to cryptocurrency regulation in some countries, that is why some projects require KYC. Some must be requiring it so that bounty hunters will not cheat on their bounties. However, there are issues that personal data are sold in black market. That is why, you should join projects with KYC at your own risk.

Re: Avoid being disturbed
by
ymirymir
on 06/12/2018, 20:34:19 UTC
I have seen a lot of people get disturbed whenever they see dumpers dumping the coins they have at unreasonable prices. To my amazement also, some people might dump a huge amount of token for just a penny, as if their whole life depend on it.

Whenever this happens, either as a bounty hunter or as an investor, i usually do not get bothered. Most times when a project is newly listed on exchange, i would avoid being in a rush to sell, but wait to see what would be the stable price, before the take off.

If the price goes very low due to dumping by dumpers, instead of grumbling or being disturbed, i will buy as many as i can and wait for the next pump.
Most times i had the opportunities like this, i was able to earn profits not less than x3 the price I bought from dumpers.

It works and you too can try it. I believe it will work for you.

It works if the project you have joined as a bounty hunter or investor has a good marketing strategy or active in project development. However, a lot of investors and holders sometimes lose hope on projects once they see prices falling and projects not making it on time with their plan depending on the road map.

Re: What makes you sure about next year?
by

on 06/12/2018, 20:16:36 UTC
Everyone is waiting for 2019 to see the price of the coin back up, But what do you do if it gets worse?

I think most people are waiting for Bakkt. People who are into crypto are positive that it will surely boost the market demand next year. It had been a blood-bath since the beginning of 2018, and a lot of people became depressed due to the bearish market. Try to buy cheap now, because once the market starts another bull-run, we will not see cheap altcoins again.

Re: ETH continues to lose value (road down to $50?)
by

on 06/12/2018, 19:58:36 UTC
a while back i created the ETH, road down to $50?, i had to close it due to being spammed to oblivion. but many in that topic disagreed with price even going down to $200!

now we are closer to $100 and the dump continues.

when do you think $50 is going to happen?

Anything is possible, a lot of people who are holding ETH will surely be sad. Let's hope ethereum price will recover because aside from bitcoin, I am investing in ethereum. It will be also a good time to buy, once ethereum price drops down to $50. I guess I'll be waiting for the dip, and accumulate more.

Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling?
by
ymirymir
on 06/12/2018, 19:43:57 UTC
because......

any choice in every bodies’ life is actually a gambling…

choose a wise husband from a bunch of boys is a gambling
choose a school to study is a gambling
choose a boss to work with is a gambling

so, gambling is addictive…

no one can escape...

That's why they say life is a gamble. Every choice we make makes us either choose a good opportunity or lose an opportunity. In terms of real gambling, people get addicted to it because it's an easy way to earn money. However, people cannot notice that, if you some up your losses over your winning everyday, most people lose a lot of money because of it.
