I can see husbands telling their wives, "honey, its ok, I know it uses a lot of electricity and heats up the whole second floor of the house, but it does make us a little money and makes me happy".

Then you have the teenager or grown man that refuses to leave mommy..."Mom, I know the electrical bill was $945, I'll give you some bitcoin later on this month".

120$ Marke geknackt.

Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary

I didn't realize it but the "dist" sub-directory of the firmware project was not being pushed to github. I've changed that now. The hex file is there. I did a new compile with settings for 16 chips and pushed that up. I'm back coding on the firmware updater now and should have a new release soon.

Despite the doom and gloom surrounding Avalon right now I'm still committed to finalizing the project so that a working solution is ready for when chips arrive. I've kind of fumbled this last week by getting caught up in despair that everything was blowing up. I think a few others are feeling the same. So this is just a message to re-affirm that I'm back at it and working to get it done. My fingers are crossed that chips show up and everything can move ahead.

Great work BkkCoins.

I don't condone violence but if there was a time for it I believe the right people should be targeted. How do they just walk away from crap like this with out any repercussions?

Simple.  They target the kind of people for their scams who don't get violent.

Who do they need to piss off before vigilance is acted on?

People who actually would get violent.

They have almost no risk of people not paying since they still have the miner in hands (and if u don't pay they could just point the miner to their own account) so the pay 6 months up front is a bit much.   I agree with the contract length (6/12 months) but the full payment up front is tough when that could be close to another $10k for some of us.

I think I would sign up today if it was month to month and 6 month contract. (payment of first month today).

I fully agree.

Its madness to take payment for hosting before product is available if u ask me, no?

ok, stupid question, please be nice Smiley

I reserved a pre-order back in May for a Mars, with the intention of upgrading it to a Jupiter. Now, I know it's not a "pre-order" as there was no way to pay at the time so, of course, I never paid.

I followed this thread for a while but stopped keeping up with it.

I saw later that the Mars was discontinued and they jumping right to selling the Saturn and Jupiter now. I also heard that the earliest orders were given a chance to order and pay for a Jupiter before everyone else?

My question is, does having my May Mars order help me be earlier in line if I order a Jupiter now somehow? Or is my only option basically order a new Jupiter on their website as if I was a new customer?

Also, how long has the Jupiter been available for sale? Are there a lot of people in the queue already? There probably are 1000s ahead of me at this point, perhaps it isn't worth it anymore. I wish KNCMiner had e-mailed the people who had attempted to pre-order early instead of making us have to check their website everyday.

Order books now open for payment

The order books are now open for the first time allowing full ordering and payment of the Jupiter and Saturn devices. Everyone already has their place in the queue so we are giving everyone 7 days to pay and maintain that place. If there are any technical issues with our website or payment portals over the next 7 days we will of course increase this period accordingly.  Once the 7 days are over we will provide everyone with their final shipping queue placement. We are able to ship hundreds of devices a week using the agreements we have in place with the factories so we still expect to be able to serve the vast majority of customers in September. Unlike others in this industry we will not be doing the assembly in house it will be done at the same professional assembly lines which ORSoC have been using for years.

Do we have to order now or when the chips arrive at your place? will you provide endproduct or will you ship the chips to another developer?
