Mining Byecoin(CrytoNote) at 6.25MH/s?
by

I know this is a glitch Here check out this screen shot.

Yeah Great Hash rate!

Lets take a look and see what would 6.29 Mh/s add up to be..

Yeah That's what I'm talking about. Sure the volume of coins out there in the exchange site are not physically there! . but I picture myself run pass the security office saying, "No one stopping me"!

Only one problem..

The numbers are not flying by in the thousand of coins produce in just a couple of minutes..
nope, and the website is not tricked either.

So how to trigger this lame trick... I was mess around with my video card overclock settings, when it simply crashed. It's happen before, and all is well now...  Undecided I wish it was true  Angry

Linux vs Windows:Which is the best for Mining CryptoNote
by
youbob
on 15/08/2014, 00:31:09 UTC
I mining for CrptoNote base coins just for fun. Over some time now I have been playing around with some of the most popular Altcoins over the period of 2 months, and it has earn me a huge $80 Wow Much Dollar. Nothing fancy at all. I'm just trying to see how can I push my computer to earn even more btc in exchanges, while trying to break any of my current time records. Here is my computer.

Processors- 8
AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor    : 3999.97MHz
16gb of ram (max is 32gb)
GTX560Ti 1GB 1024MB DDR3 384bit Nvidia
1 Tb hdd.. Slowing my system down sadly

OS Window 7 (because you can't pay me to use Windows 8 or 8.1)
$800 some odd dollars After Taxes.

That's just a rough look of it in specs, This rig is all customs, meaning you might not find her in a Best Buy computer section, but non the less my computer currently is my first built rig, and I'm happy of what I got. However, it's not a mining rig. Sure I could beef up the GPU system! maybe I could gut out my motherboard of it's nice black glow-in-the-dark case, and trade it out for a shopping cart basket, with 4 video cards suspended over the rims; if I had the money!

Using what I have, my only options for mining altcoins is surrounded by my CPUs. The idea in the past was to jump on these script coin early enough to gain as many as I could, then wait for the market to reach it's peak and dump all of my coins for the exchange of bitcoins. It's still the same strategy today, but with CryptoNote base coins, there seems to be more bitcoin to be made out of them(That's my opinion)..

The mining software that I use comes from Minergate website. It's fast and easy to set up, and works on the 3 main OS's out the Window, Mac, and Ubuntu Linux.

Mining on Windows 7 can get me hash rates of 210 to 225 depending on what is running in the background of my computer. Running Minergate in safemode is even fast 250 hs. My cpu temps all stay with in the range of 32* C; I'm not 100% sure that reading is accurate in safe mode, considering I can't pull up my PC temp software under that mode. This at a time would earn me about .001 btcoin a day, depending on what coin you decide to mine for, and the time of the exchange.

Now Minergate has this new GPU feather that doubles my Hash Rate!! 510 is the best I can do right now as I hope they do come out with a more stable software version. ( DO NOT MINE WITH GPU MODE ON IN SAFE MODE I don't think you can control your computer temperature in safe mode)

For the longest time I had totally forgot about Linux. After all I have been working with pc repair for more than 10 years, and I found Linux to be the best OS to install in my very own computer. There's only a few things that kept me from committing 100% of my time with Linux. One being Love to play First-Person-shooter games, and they would only be available on Windows base computers. This current pc was built back in 2012, before that I only had a simple single core amd computer, with an 80 gb hard drive, Can't even keep A dual partition of Linux and Windows on my Pc, I would always find my self running out of room in no time.

Once after the newest of my computer started to ware away, and I stop playing games. I then started to think about taking a look at Linux for Mining. I know Linux (Ubuntu in the case) doesn't eat up a ton of memory like windows does. So as I started to cut away at the programs running in the background of my pc, I began to look at the option of just doing away from Windows entirely.

I decided to load up Ubuntu Linux on to my USB drive. Once it was loaded I looked at the feature of installing it to my computer. At first I really just wanted to install it on my USB drive, but then something new had been in place of what I was use to. I could now install Linux side-by-side with Windows 7 without having to format the whole entire hard drive. Installing Ubuntu and its update took less than 45 mins at the most. I ran minergate with all of the CPU selected, and started mining at 380 to 410. I was super happy at what I saw.

To understand this. Mining in Windows 7 Can get you about 250 at the most, and I wouldn't bother mining in safemode, that's if you don't mind mining blinds, without knowing your cpu temperature.

It just makes since. Mine in Linux instead with windows get more coins. Ubuntu Linux is totally free to download, and install without having to reformat your whole entire hard drive.

Sorry if this post was long winded... But that's my story. I will provide pictures for proof if this topic takes off, or if people want to know more on what I'm doing.

It is great news, but coin cannot be sold since nobody buy it... so why to waste time and energy on something that cannot be converted to money?
there is any otc exchange for this.
and new coins have exchanges when they are new, takes time to build the coin up and get it on an exchange.

I love mining for new coins for only two reason. One it's easy to mine for. Right now my computer can reach up in the low 200 h/s when it comes to mining cryptonote base coins. That translated into millions of dashcoins in a 24 hour period. It will only stay at that rate for a week or two before other people start to jump on board. Mean while I'm watching and waiting to see if it exchanges for bitcoin, and try to jump in the exchange site before the coin bubble pops, flops, or totally fails. I'm not saying this coin will fail, it might be the next bitcoin in the near future.

The bottom line is keep your coins until you start to see signs of failure, or huge success!

Re: ducknote vs monero - what does the future hold?
by

There are only 4 coins that I currently mine for, and all of them can be easily mined for using the mining Minegate(minergate.com).

MonetaVerde, Bytecoin, Ducknote, and Monero. Menero is today winner, for I'm mining for it right now. It's a toss up between Bytecoin, ducknote, and Monero. Currently I have 0.0066 btc value through Ducknote. 0.0013 btc value through Bytecoin.

I only choose MonetaVerde Coin base on it's newest, and the amount of coins I can get from it. Right now it's the same end value as FantomCoin.. but as I write this post the values are very so changing, I can't seem to keep up.

But you can't go wrong with mining for the 4 coins. They put me back to the level of bitcoin mining I use to be when I first started mining for bitcoin.

#bitcoinbeg

It's all in the title. The idea is simple. I always see beggers by the sidewalk to street intersection, holding up sighs that are either funny or full of despair.  So I see a lot of #rt #followback and ect... why not something like #bitcoinbeg first 50 people who retweet this message gets X amount of bitcoin.. Depending on the amount of bitcoin a lot of people would go beyond the 50 mark. The idea is that people would use bitcoin to get more of their media across the web while giving more people a chance to get a hold of some bitcoin.

This is all just a late night thought.

talk about how can people use bitcoin on twitter.

Edit:
Oh I almost for got. Got any spare Satoshi you kind soul Grin

What's the Newest and Best Alt-coin should I mine for
by
youbob
on 02/07/2014, 04:32:59 UTC
Currently, I'm mining for Duck coin, and I hope to gain a million within 2 weeks, but It's hard to tell if I'm just wasting my time here or not.
Because I don't know what coin would be A) worth mining for( far as is it going to flop or not) B) Which new Coin that best fits my pc.

Here are my spechs

1TB hard drive
8150fx 8 core amd processor
560 ti nvida card 384 bit pathway 440 CUDA
and 16 gb of ram

The cpu and gpu are the only thing that matters here.

So what should I be mining for?

Remembering all of those passwords without sacrificing security
by
youbob
on 20/06/2014, 03:42:35 UTC
It's important to have a good password for your online accounts; to best combat and minimize hacker threats. A lot of online web servers use the best online security, for example, hotmail is Microsoft emailing hosting, they use some of the best firewalls/encryption that can be offered, but yet I have personally seen some of my friends account get hacked in very easily, and the root to the security compromise is the lack of a good password.

According to this NBC News tech article:http://www.nbcnews.com/tech/security/8-character-passwords-just-got-lot-easier-crack-f1C7530242

"A password expert has shown that passwords can be cracked by brute force four times faster than was previously thought possible. ", "Jeremi Gosney of the Stricture Consulting Group shared the findings at the recent Passwords^12 conference in Norway, where researchers do nothing but focus on passwords and PIN numbers. What Gosney showed is that a computer cluster using 25 AMD Radeon graphics cards let it make 350 billion — that's right, billion — password attempts per second when trying to crack password hashes made by the algorithm Microsoft uses in Windows."

As the article continues to state this claim, "Eight characters "just isn't long enough for a password these days," Sophos Labs' Paul Ducklin told NBC News in an email. "Even before this latest 'improvement' in cracking, standalone GPU (graphics processing unit)-based servers could do the job on eight-character Windows passwords in under 24 hours." "

So you need to make your passwords longer than 8 characters. 23 Characters long password are nearly crack proof because of the mass amount of resource are not easily available. We are talking about you need to have some of the worlds most powerful super computer to be begin to crack those long passwords.

Here are some tips to shared from that article that can help better protect your online accounts, and I will also add in ways to better remember new passwords, without sacrificing security.

1) Never use the same password on the different accounts. This just makes sense. because we all have data bases on our computers that will likely content all of the accounts we even signed up to. If that information where to fall into the wrong hands all the hacker would have to do in know one password to get into them all. It's not just what's on your computer, but if a number of web servers get compromise with all of those different linked to your IP address the lazy hacker now has the same easy job of breaking in.

2) Use Complex passwords. For example, "Guinness_ROCK@#!2014_01" (without quotes). Most website will allow you to add in special symbols, and up to 23 character. An example of one site that will let you do this is google. In fact they will let you make a password that is 27 characters long.

3) If you do run into a site that doesn't let you use special character, still try to make a password that is 23 characters long but use UPPER case, lower case letters, and a mix of numbers to still keep your account secure. For example, GUINnessROCKSatYR201401.
Personally, any site that doesn't allow you to use special character may not be using the best method of security protection, so with any online account sign up on using that server is both not going to be hosting any important information, and will not be use as my primary.

If you want to test out a password you can use this site: https://howsecureismypassword.net/

It states that they don't steal peoples passwords, but I wouldn't go off testing a password that either I currently use or about to use fully. Always change it up.

Now for the main part of this thread. You might be asking your self How do I remember all of these long passwords.

The answer is very simple. Just change one thing to your password and to a computer cracking program it's like you just made up an whole entire new password.
For example,

email #1
Guinness_ROCK@#!2014_01

email #2
Guinness_ROCK@#!2014_A2

email #3
Guinness_ROCK@#!2014_B3

Or just add in an extra character.

email #1
Guinness_ROCK@#!2014_01

email #2

Guinness_ROCK@#!2014_01A

email #3
Guinness_ROCK@#!2014_01A1

You can go up to the maximum numbers of characters allowed in the service register panel.

The thing is you might think this maybe increasing the risk of someone getting all of your so-called hard to break in online accounts, but you have to know that computers are very dumb. adding characters or changing numbers increases the difficulty of you password being cracked.

I hope this thread was helpful to someone. donate if you want.

I dunno, never heard of them myself but good for them trying to tap that market.  They accept payment in BTC & DOGE so at least they're supporting their own cause.  Some of the components look overpriced (the Hyper 212 cpu cooler) but others are pretty fair (the additional GPU, $5 extra for a 1TB drive).  Plus they've got the Lifetime Warranty in effect which is something you always pay extra for.  Guessing that's about $3-400 of the upfront cost.  That's not saying anything about how their warranty process is when/if you need to use it.

Plus in the long run it does pay for it self in a few months. All you have to do is get on a highly efficient multipool.

I found this on my facebook page. http://www.xidax.com/miningrigs
What this company does is make customizable pc gaming rigs that are Liquid-cooled. They have also taped in to the cryptocurrencies business; allowing people to purchase customizable mining rigs, that to my opinion look down right cool. Both CPU and GPU are pretty powerful, making it easier to mine for coins that take in CPU or GPU power. This is a far better looking cry from the basket rack mining rigs that I see on the web today.

I haven't seen anything yet for nVidia support on this forum yet, but it never hurts to ask. I'm mining for MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN/DUCK It would be nice to be able to use my CPU to mine for one coin with merge mining with FCN, and have some other coin being mined with my GPU which is a gtx 560 ti 384bit nVidia card;would be nice to be able to merge mine with it as well.

After mining these, where r u gonna sell them ?

Well Yea Would like to do a private sell on these coins. PM me to get things started. DuckNote is my fastest coin. I'm currenty not mining for QCN, LTC, and Monero look like it's way to difficult to mine for so BCN, DUCKnot, and FCN are my main ones.

About QoinPro Free daily giveways
by
youbob
on 10/06/2014, 17:35:58 UTC
I've gotten involved with bitcoins by using the many different type of free btc faucets. All faucets are linked to a wallet somewhere on the web and the service leaks out a small amounts of bitcoins at a set amount of time. The usual format of how much a faucet will give to you in a set amount of time goes something like: the more btc that is given away the longer you have to wait for your next chance to gain some more. The most comment type of faucets are the type in the captcha and personal btc wallet to receive btc.

The problems they you may face with faucets is that they eat up a lot of time by having you to revisit they site over over again, you have to type in the Captcha every time you visit, and you don't get paid out until you have reach a specific balance of bitcoin. There's really no way to automate this process, because maybe the faucets would run dry in no time at all.

After doing to soul searching on google I did run into a faucet that giveaway small amounts of bitcoin, and a host of other Alt coins, without having to be at the website and filling out all of those captcha or playing any silly games.

site is cally qoinpro

https://qoinpro.com ref removed

Every day they add in a small amount of btc and other alt coins to my account without having to be there. The link above is my reference link because you will earn more coins as more people start to join the site under your behalf. On top of that if your friend send out reference link to their friends and join the site you will still earn a percents more coins, because the site feels that none of these people would had join the site without you first posting your ref link.

So it seems to work for me. I have been gaining a little bit of btc and alt coins at a time. plus the longer you stay with them the more coins will be given to you, in the form of unlocking new coins.

I think this is a awesome way to get into bitcoins for first timers or anyone who wants to get started btc.

Message to the staff of this forum.. If I posted this in the wrong place could you move it. Thank you for all of your hard work
