KnCMiner 28nm Die Photos - Hot of the Press from our Packaging Assembly House
Guys, below we have some photos to share from our packaging house in Asia who are currently are in possession of our wafers; slicing and packaging the dies into the chips you and we so badly want to get our hands on.
The finish line is in sight. A few sleepless nights yet, but we are doing everything we can to keep our delivery promise. This is nail-biting to say the least.
Going to post some more hosting facility pictures on the forum later today as well. So look out for those. Theyre from last weekend, something else weve forgone for the immediate future. Lets just take a moment to thank or very understanding wives, and children, who have been exceptionally restrained and understanding considering the last few months. Were all looking forward to making amends on some lost time there.
However, there are a couple of pictures below, we know youve anxiously wanted to see. As you can see weve managed to etch our logo onto the die itself. To give you some idea of scale, the logo itself is just under 1mm in height;
Not hardware, but optimizing will continue (swapping out bad cards, tweaking rigs, etc.) We want to run every rig at 400G, which would give us 65TH even now. More hardware deploys next week - I expect we'll surpass the original 100TH goal.
Current stats are low due to a little issue at the pool, resolved, no shares were missed.
The solo plan is a very high priority still, but it is hard for me to justify the time and cost to go solo for a 2-3% gain rather than optimizing rigs for a +45% gain or more.
They should set up a p2pool server. Then they would get the same they would get with solomining, with less variance and with faster blocks so they can see errors occuring fast.
here's an approximate hash rate for the mine based on the dividend address

Our in-house numbers say 40TH, and a number of racks remain un-optimized. Today we worked on automagic restarts to keep everything running as much as possible. Optimizing passes should be finished tomorrow. We have hardware running that amounts to theoretical 65TH if every rig is running 400G, so we should see some good improvements. Next week more new hardware will be landed.
